One of my favourite cafes in central Athens. Great for remote working.
I got there and tried to order before taking a seat, and they told me that I should sit and that a ‘waitress’ would come. I sat right in front of the bar where they could see me and stayed there for 25’, even making eye contact a few times with someone working on the other side of the bar. I finally decided to stand up and order my coffee to go because I knew I’d have to run soon, when I approached them and mentioned I waited for quite a long time the same man who told me to sit then said ‘but it’s self service we even have a sign on all the tables’, which pissed me off but I told to myself ‘ok, let go’. They wouldn’t let me order in a to go cup and take a sit for the few minutes I had left, it was either paying more for the mug (yes, it’s ridiculous) or order to go and leave straight away. The saddest part is that I paid 4.30€ for a sour dull coffee.
Starting from the blonde girl she was extremely rude and full of herself barely working. The service was extremely slow I had to wait very long to get my coffee also to pay to. Other people was able to pay on the side without waiting for the line but they made me wait on the line yet again. Nor organization no plan waste of your time. Also the coffee is not good at all. Go somewhere else there are way better places around. Stay away
Delicious food and coffee, nice place and atmosphere for studying or working, good wifi connection 🫶🏼
Hello dear Anana,I really like this place but recently got an incredibly unpleasant experience, first it was just rude wile I was trying to order at the space of self service,a brunette waitress that I haven’t seen working here before ,was very moody .Ok I left and forgot about it but worse was next time we came with my friend ,and we got literally bullied by the same waitress .as we were leaving she looked at my friend with an annoyed look, rolled her eyes and made a cross )) literally the gesture people do in Greece if they see someone weird in a negative way,i believe it was a reaction to our style ,that may have seemed too weird for her ,we are designers and may look unusual for a particular type of people.when I saw this I couldn’t believe my eyes ,such an audacity.absolutely not expected such treatment in this particular place ,that always felt so welcoming.
We had soy cafe latte, soy freddo cappucino and vegan banana bread. Very tasty and the people working here are very nice :). They have many vegan options but the barristas and waiters should be knowledgable about what is vegan and what is not. When we asked if certain desserts were vegan, the barrista said yes and we asked "so no egg, no milk?", and he seemed confused and had to check with the kitchen. Not a big deal but better to know in advance. :)
Came specifically to try their “desert of the day” which was basque burned cheesecake and they told me they ran out of it.
I arrived at 2 pm! Considering the fact that their working hours are till 8 pm, that’s just very disappointing experience
My favourite place to relax with friends or remote myself and work on laptop! Great vegan sweet and salty plates, great service :)
Great vibes, delicious food and coffee. They have great sitting area for work with your laptop as well.
I had read the positive reviews and I said let's go....The coffee was satisfactory, up to that point....A place that personally seemed sloppy to me. Also, without my fault the waitress, who follows orders, before I even sat down she tells me "the restaurant's policy for tables does not allow the use of laptops...."
Where in every cafe you enjoy coffee and a laptop together for work or relaxation....Obviously they don't want you to hold their table for too long. In any case, this particular policy didn't convince me to go back or recommend it.
The store is beautiful and the products we consumed were excellent :) This story about complaints about laptops not being allowed on Sundays etc. is at least funny..1) you can't impose on any store what regulations they choose to put in place and 2) you can't demand that a cafeteria be turned into your office just because you want it to be.. There are libraries and study spaces for exactly this job. Somewhere, come on guys ✨️
