Terrible service, I can understand that on Saturday you don’t want people bringing their laptop and work here, but you should have say it to the customers in the first place. When the waitress came to take my order I was already working with my laptop, she said nothing; when I asked for the wifi password, she said nothing, when I finally have the coffee and food she suddenly said I can’t use my laptop here! Absurd and terrible service, should feel shameful to run a business like this. Will never come again.

Choice of food and drinks isn’t great and quality, no where near top, I am giving the two stars because of location and friendliness of staff. But their recent policies means you can’t (practically) use laptop between 11-15, even if you keep ordering!!

I have been visiting Anne & Max in Leiden for years. This time I took out my laptop and was told that I can only use the laptop from a stool at one of the bars. I am in my late 60s and told them that I can't use the stool due to a bad back. I was told that this time only I could use the laptop at a low table. You have just made a policy that harms older people.

I came here on Sunday at 10:00 am and took a seat at the normal table, had my laptop with me and wanted to work. After I made my order a waiter lady came to me and said that as of 11:00 am I will need to move to seat at high table - only at high table it is allowed to seat with laptop. Then I asked if I can seat on at arm-chair with coffee table (not a standard table) - she checked with her manager and manager said no, only at high tables with laptop. I am not able to seat there as my back hurts sitting on high chairs. So inconvenient and unfriendly rule. They should have said that before I made my order. They totally ruined my intention to have a cozy coffee and work. Not happy with Anne & Max.

Pretty cool place to take a coffee and chill. You can also bring your laptop to study or work a bit whilst getting a good coffee.

Great place to bring your laptop and work while having a beverage and also a good place to meet people and eat.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Perfectly fine for a coffee to go, although it is a bit pricey; almost €5 for a coffee. Sitting on the terrace in the sunshine is also very pleasant. Inside, there is a productive atmosphere, a very pleasant place to work on your laptop or similar.

Excellent salads and homemade iced tea. Inside, there are often students with laptops; outside, there's a patio, though you're partially seated next to a highway/square. The atmosphere is informal and the staff is friendly. The waitresses are all named Anne, but I haven't seen Max yet. Perhaps the chef?

A place to drink coffee (and work on your laptop) with a view of Leiden's shared space intersection. Lively, so to speak.

There is plenty of choice in food and drinks. The only downside is that the Wi-Fi is very poor and you have to like crowded places.

Perfect work location. Fast and friendly service that thinks along with you. Good wifi and comfortable seating. A&M is my second office :-)
