Bartine Bakery Café

Cafe Bartine in The Hague is a wonderful spot to slow down and enjoy the city. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxed, and its location near the main train station makes it incredibly convenient whether you’re arriving, leaving, or just exploring nearby. Free wifi is a nice bonus, especially if you want to linger a bit longer.

The food really shines here. I ordered the Turkish eggs, and the roasted pumpkin addition was absolutely fire, it added depth, sweetness, and texture that elevated the dish and made it memorable. You can tell there’s real care put into the menu and execution.

The hot chocolate was just alright and didn’t quite match the high bar set by the food, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. All in all, this is an easy place to recommend, perfect for a great meal, a solid coffee stop, or simply chilling after strolling around the city.

The food tasted delicious & the pastries are tasty as well. However, the service was a disappointment: very slow, not even cleaning the table when it is obviously dirty from the former customers, a waitress who is not grateful to have a job and should reconsider working in the service industry.

My visit to Bartine was long overdue and after visiting regret that I didn't visit earlier. I'm sure I'll visit again sometime soon.
We had a very tasty lunch, nice wines, delicious pastries and coffee.
The atmosphere inside is good, the staff working there is friendly and helpful.
