I went to work with my laptop. They said there was wifi, so I bought drinks and food. there was not wifi, then the waiter just laughed at me saying “ sorry maaate”
This is a heaven for boardgamers. Choice is excellent, and the place has a great atmosphere. Good coffee and snacks. People working there are nice and helpful. The only negative thing is... that I don't have a cafe like this back at home!
we went to bastard café with some friends and it was a really bad experience. the fries were awful, no salt, no ketchup, overpriced and even had a hair in them. when we finally asked for ketchup, they charged extra for it, and the staff member, anastasia, came over and threw it on the table without even looking at us. she was extremely rude and unprofessional. the whole service was unpleasant, and i honestly can’t understand how someone with that attitude is working there. as a customer, i’d suggest the management seriously reconsider who they hire. overall, both the food and the service were terrible. definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.
We visited the cafe last night, though I would more describe it as a bar, for a quiet night of board games. Well, it was not a quiet night, the music was loud and the atmosphere was buzzing but we loved it more than we were expecting to - all things greatly contributed to by the blonde man and dark haired woman working behind the bar that were friendly, smiling and laughing every time we came to the bar, and between that gave us very high energy karaoke to all our favourite songs.
The food was pretty basic, they were sold out of half the menu and I didn't like eating greasy finger food when playing a board game and touching all the pieces, but it was served quickly and good for what it was. Cocktails were cheap and decent, and there is just an insane amount of board games to pick from. We will definitely come back again!
I went to bastards cafe Saturday to have a cosy night with my friends. After all of us buying meals and beverages for 4 hours. One of the bartenders who had a mullet haircut and glasses acted extremely rude. He then didn’t do a thing when I a bit later was being threatened to be punched in my face by another drunken customer. It was all very surreal and this bartender should not be working anywhere near service with that customer approach. Won’t be coming again unless there is a switch of current staff!
The manager has been very very rude. We arrived and asked a waiter very kindly if she had a seat and she showed us to a table. We ordered and suddenly the manager arrived with a couple who had reserved that table and yelling at us she told us very unpleasantly that we had to get up. We have explained to her that her partner has given us permission to sit there, and she has continued YELLING for her to come out. We have felt very badly treated. The place is nice but we would not return. a shame it has. to such an unpleasant person working there.
An awesome boardgame cafe with a huge collection, international and age diverse crowd. The staff is very kind and hard working. I highly recommend this place as a casual night/day out or as a break from running around the beautiful city of Copenhagen. Further more it is based at ground level in a building with a lot of cultural activity.
This place is so cosy and the people working there are sooo nice, couldn't recommend it more! It's 25 DKK to play all their games for the day, an there are a lot of different board games. You can buy beer, cider and whiskey from the bar, and there's also crisps and other snacks.
Terrible service by the blue haired woman. Horrible attitude. Snarled at my group and was disgustingly rude. Should not be working in the service industry!
This is such an amazing place! Great food and drinks (only had soya hot chocolate and sweet potato fries but loved them)! The staff are amazing and there are tonnes of games! Honestly the coolest place ever and the wifi is free as well as decent! Looking forward to coming back!
Find cafe for board games (quite a good inventory) but if you're looking for a place to work, this is not it.. The wifi is quite unreliable and service takes a while... The use case for this place is in fact if you're planning a long night of board games :)
