Great place to have a coffee and work
great coffee but you have to pay to work?! as if there aren't other places in amsterdam?!
Quiet and good coffee shop to work in, but there’s better coffee nearby
A nice place to get some work done. Columbia brew was better than you will get at any chain in AMS
Hi there, am I allowed to work with a laptop at Bocca?
Great place to work at city center and it is not crowded to disturb you.higly recommended.grettings from turkey,İstanbul
So, work space and drinks space
Why every single day change?!?!
The service and ambience of the establishment pleased all the senses. Great coffee, good recommendations and nice place to do a bit of work, meet a friend, etc.
Good coffee ☕️ special laptop area
6€ per hour per person to open the laptop seems a bit too much.
They charge 6 euros per hour for using your laptop in the cafe, even if you buy drinks and food. So you can read a book, you can sit and have a chat with a friend, but without even opening the laptop, otherwise you have to pay. Ridiculous.
After owner answer: I don't think that comparing sitting in a coffee place checking the mails in my laptop for an hour with the monthly costs of having an office is fair, since you don't run a co-working space with all the services that this normally includes, but a coffee place.
In my case, I biked 15 minutes to go to your place because I saw it on google and I liked it, and just wanted to sit with my laptop, book a flight and a hotel for a trip and check google maps while having a coffee and some treat to go with it in a nice place. Which we did with my girlfriend in another coffee nearby, spending 25 euros in an hour. I think is a fair deal, better than charging 6 euros per hour to pay the wifi, which by now is a pretty standard service to have.
If you want to have special deals for people who go alone, and sit for 3 hours with their laptops staying there and ordering 1 coffee in all that time, it may be different, but not letting someone open the laptop without paying, is just weird.
Really good coffee, the vibe is not always great
Edit to reply: what makes the vibe not great is that I never really feel like staying around to drink my coffee. Maybe it’s just subjective (hence using a vague word like “vibe”), maybe it’s because a lot of people come and go, or maybe I really do pick up bad vibes from someone or something. One time after sitting down at a regular table, the lady at the bar came to tell me I can’t sit there because she had apparently promised that specific table to somebody, and to me this felt unwelcoming and maybe even unprofessional - had I seen a “reserved” sign on the table I wouldn’t have sat down in the first place and this situation would never have happened. I also find it distasteful when I’m asked to my face “are you planning to use your laptop?” because of the wording. I know you have a laptop policy, and it makes sense, but I think there are much better ways to bring it up with customers than a question which seems invasive at first. As mentioned above, these points are subjective and maybe others do not find them so upsetting, but for me it is what makes the difference between 5 and 4 stars.
Nice spot. Coffee is good, place is comfortable and allow for good use of laptops. Staff was friendly.
All the seats are occupied by people with laptops. Brownie is the worst of my life. The coffee was good
Great coffee spot in the centre. A team dedicated to great coffee, with good snacks & cosy spots.
I see people complain about laptop use. This is a brilliant coffee cafe, not your office.
Their hot chocolate is the real thing! A laid back cool place when you can also work with your laptop. The coolest and friendliest staff too!
Coffee was room temperature, waited 20min at the counter for it to be made and there is barely any space to sit or put your laptop
