YAYU is undoubtedly the best place for specialty coffee in all of Athens. I had the pleasure of staying in the city for several months, and YAYU became my go-to spot. Everytime, I looked forward to spending time in YAYU, where there are always two types of coffee to choose from. They also have a selection of beans from famous roasters available for purchase on the shelf.

I must mention their cookies, which are absolutely the best I've ever had. I highly recommend picking something sweet to accompany your coffee—you definitely won't regret it!

What truly makes YAYU exceptional is the owner and the staff. The owner is the kindest, friendliest, and most helpful person in the world, and the same goes for the baristas. Everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming, which adds to the YAYU's charm and creates an atmosphere that you'll want to return to again and again. YAYU is not only amazing for its space and excellent coffee but also for the personal and friendly approach of the owner and baristas.

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that there is a fully equipped and very pleasant co-working space located above the café. This is a huge plus for those looking for a productive place to work.

I highly recommend visiting YAYU! I will miss this place after returning home, and whenever I get the chance, I will gladly come back.

Great coffee made with care and really tasty snacks, both sweet and savory. What I also love is the co-working space—you can choose what fits your mood, whether that’s an open area or a quieter spot when you need to focus. The space feels comfortable, calm, and easy to work in. Definitely a place I enjoy spending time at.

The best place for a coffee in whole city! You can find delicious coffee and also small snacks and desserts here and enjoy nice time with a beautiful atmosphere either downstairs with a view at the bar where you can see all the preparations or also upstairs where they have a working space which is amazing! Anyway probably the best thing here is the staff - they were all so friendly that we became friends with them and felt very very welcomed at our every visit. Thank you for the best experience!!

THE best iced latte, the best matcha. And everyone working is the best. Have been coming everyday for the past year.

If you are in town you shouldn't miss it. Friendly owner, greatly executed matcha and coffee. If you see a foreign slick guy on his laptop editing his photos, offer him some photography work. Won't regret.

Had an excellent cappuccinno and a Matcha latte. There is a place upstairs to sit with a laptop if you need to do some work for a while. Staff was friendly and helpful. The upstairs is extremely basic in terms of decor, but that didn't bother me.

I have been to Yayu a couple of times and it has become one of the first choices coming to my mind when I’m in the near neighbourhood. The service is absolutely lovely as well as the people working there. The overall atmosphere is exceptional, very cool and cozy to enjoy a coffee with friends or just have a coffee by yourself. The coffee is very good and as a fan of matcha latte, I can tell it’s one of the best ones. I’ll soon be there again, stay cool

Very hip and because of that very poor service. Feels like Berlin, if you like to be treated badly and be ignored by the girls working there even though you say friendly hello and stand in front of them.

There was no filter available. Too much ice in cold drinks. Cold brew was not bad, but looked to me not like in house production but bought from some kind of distributor. It was not bad though. For me specifically coffee is when people working are somewhat passionate about coffee. Here I didn’t see it to be frank.

Great coffee, very chill and laid-back atmosphere thanks to both the cool music and stylish interior. Lots of space, dedicated study and co-working area. Didn’t have anything to eat personally, but the pastries also looked very nice. English friendly.
