Café Kittel - Aachen

the coffees are affordable and relatively cheap than other cute cafes. wifi is provided and you can work there with your laptop. The staffs are attentive and the interior is pretty cute as well. Would easily spend 4 hours there !!

One of the worst customer service ever.
I went there with few of my friends at around 8 pm.
First, one of my friend was effected by COVID-19 a month ago in Spain. So she presented her Corona positive certificate which is in Spanish. The waiter said "I don't understand Spanish so I can't do anything about it". His demand was either we show him the proof of booster dose or corona rapid test done in past 24 hours or the Corona positive certificate in English. This use was resolved when we talked to another working staff.

Later we ordered 2 pizza. We waited for more than half an hour. So I went to the counter to know the progress. Our exact word to word conversation was,
Me : We ordered 2 pizza, can you tell me how much will it take?
Staff at counter: Your pizza is under process, you are not the only here.(with bit rude tone and sentence itself is rude)
Me: Ya but how much more time will it take?
Staff at counter: It's under process.(Still rude but tolerable)
Me: I just want to know approximately how much more time?
Staff at the counter: It's under process. (This one was very rude)
Because of his behavior I left counter.

Place is very nice, good vibe, good food, lot of people prefer to go there but this was disrespectful which I have to let them know in someway.

I liked how it has bigger area than some of the cafés I have seen around Aachen. Has good working spaces too.

Comfortable university café with good food at low prices. laptops & Textbooks welcome...

Hier habe ich schon als Student*in meine Klausuren vorbereitet und mich mit Kaffee und dem Studentenfrühstück für 2,- DM (!).bei Laune gehalten, später mit Freundinnen und unseren Babys/Kindern im romantischen Biergarten unsere Zeit verbracht und auch heute ist das Kittel immer einen Besuch wert: leckeres und doch bezahlbares Essen, der Kaffee, wie eh und je einfach lecker und auch der Kuchen immer wieder ein kleines Highlight. Total nett: hier dürfen "Studies" stundenlang am laptop arbeiten, ohne angemotzt und/ oder rausgeschmissen zu werden.
