Cafe 1912

Great food taste and atmosphere. Located inside the university of Muhammadiyah at Yogyakarta campus. A three story building with spacious co-working space and a function room. Two thumbs up. Just a little suggestions to make this place much better is a hand wash basin in the ground floor.

Stopping by Cafe 1912 always brings back nostalgia, as it's located on the campus where I used to study. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and perfect for working with my laptop open.

I tried the Chicken Fried Rice, Ricebowl, Klepon Latte, and Red Velvet Latte. They were all delicious, especially the Klepon Latte, which had a unique and interesting flavor. Plus, there's a meeting room you can reserve, making it perfect for discussions or work. The location is also easily accessible. It's always a comfortable place to revisit 🤗

The location is quite strategically located on the UMY campus, right at the front, so you can see it right away. For a cafe that offers a calm and comfortable atmosphere for assignments, this place is super affordable, especially since it's on campus. There's iced lemon tea for only 10,000 rupiah and a katsu rice bowl for 23,000 rupiah. The cafe offers a wide selection of food and drinks, ranging from affordable to expensive, with a varied menu, so you're guaranteed to never get bored.

The space is very spacious, with three floors, each with a different ambiance. The first floor is probably perfect for group assignments or casual conversations. The second floor is perfect for those looking for a quieter atmosphere. There aren't too many tables on the second floor, so it's still safe to work alone. The third floor is probably more suitable for chatting with a group of friends because the seating is as relaxed as possible. There's a meeting room and a safe, spacious, and clean bathroom.

Overall, it's okay, but if you're an outsider, you might be confused about where to park, so ask the staff first. wifi is also fast, very safe for doing work and playing music at medium volume

The food is average, like a typical cafe. The place is nice, with WFC facilities, Wi-Fi, and a meeting room. The meeting room includes a TV, tables, chairs, a whiteboard, and adequate lighting. There's a prayer room, restrooms, and a smoking area.

This cafe, managed by UMY, is open to the public.

The place is nice, clean, and follows COVID-19 protocols to maintain social interaction. It has three floors. Currently, only two are operational.

There's plenty of seating. The view is great. It's easily accessible, even though it's on campus.

But...

The coffee is average, but of course it's cheap. Palm sugar coffee is only 15,000 Rupiah. Don't complain if the sugar is still lumpy at the bottom.

It could be upgraded.

Great coworking space, delicious and affordable food. Perfect for doing assignments, meetings, or just hanging out. Recommended for both UMY and non-UMY students.

This is a truly recommended place.
It's not a lie.
For a cafe with fairly luxurious facilities, the price is relatively affordable.

There's a prayer room, toilet, Wi-Fi, air-conditioned rooms, and an outdoor area.
Smoking is strictly prohibited (in the UMY area), as far as I know.
Self-service zone.
Lots of outlets.

I bought the chicken rice bowl with sambal matah twice, and it was still around 15,000 rupiah, plus a fried egg.

At dusk, it's a great place for photos and is Instagrammable.

The top floor is often used as a meeting place for lecturers.

Caffe 1912 is an integrated cafeteria and co-working space created by UMY. It will soon be open 24 hours a day. Given its strategic market potential, UMY feels it was a good idea to create this space. It can become a new daily hangout spot for students and the general public. It's definitely awesome.
