Essen

Good service and good atmosphere!! Also you work there !
The place is good but some of the waiters are a bit hasty and pushy. Not the best place for work, eventhough it has the dedicated area for working the wifi is only for two hours and it’s not much relaxing
The wifi was not the best for remote work
A very cozy spot, perfect for breakfast, and they likely serve alcoholic beverages as well. Many customers were there with their laptops, working on their projects. While I didn’t use the internet, I believe they offer Wi-Fi. I ordered toast with salmon, toast with egg, mushroom and avocado, iced orange coffee, Cappuccino, and fresh orange juice. The food was delicious, and the juice tasted really fresh.
Good caffe to have a lunch and with with laptop
Free wifi, good coffee with amazing value for money:)
Lots of seats inside and terrace as well! There are sockets which you can charge your phone or laptop. Also they open until late night which is incredible!
Dog friendly!
Loved the food but service isn’t great, and they limit the wifi access to 2 hours.
The food is great, best eggs Benedict! The place you can work with laptops is small! But i think that's the with Madrid
Arrived 1h15min ago. Still no food, the waitress is very disrespectful. I had a meeting and i was not allowed to use my laptop. Food was good but first time i put a bad review in my life, there should be a reason
Good place to study and enjoy a good coffee
wifi 2 hours
Found on a list of “best laptop-friendly cafés for remote workers in Madrid” after googling where I could work from on a weekend. Travelled across the city to find it. First thing that happens when I walk in is I’m pointed to a sign that says on weekends laptops are not allowed.
I came on Saturday to have coffee with my laptop, but it turns out I can't use my laptop. These are the cafe rules. Seriously?
In addition, no, there weren't many people there. And secondly, what difference does it make who will sit there for 2-3 hours, me with a laptop or others without a laptop? People don't come there for 30 minutes.
P.S. Iced coffee in a glass 250ml is stingy
UPDATE/EDIT: You answer my review saying this isn't the right channel to address the problem and that you will do so internally. However, you haven't answered a single one of my emails. I am awaiting the compensation that was promised for breaking my MacBook - it has been over a month. Don't bother "sincerely apologizing for any frustration or inconvenience" - an apology isn't going to fix my laptop.
I wish I didn't have to write this, but here goes. This is directed to the owner, who seems to have been answering reviews recently. I am hoping you will see this and do the right thing.
On January 23rd 2024 I came to your cafe and sat at the large table with a friend to study. I ordered a smoothie and a coffee, as I'd done daily for nearly two weeks prior. The tall, male waiter with glasses spilt the smoothie all over the table, my laptop, and my friend. Obviously, it was entirely unintentional - I assume it slid off his tray. As I tried my best to get the smoothie out of my trackpad/keyboard, the waiter informed my Spanish-speaking friend that the Cafe had insurance to cover such things. I continued to work for the rest of the day. On January 24th 2024, I went to the Apple Store to have my laptop inspected. They found evidence of liquid damage, and quoted out the necessary repairs.
I gave the quote to a manager named Irati, and informed her I'd be returning to home home country on the 28th. She told me that the insurance company needed, at minimum, a week to review the claim. Because this manager and ALL of the other staff at the cafe had been so kind to me over the past few weeks, I took her word for it and trusted that the situation would be dealt with appropriately.
Upon my return home, I followed up with the manager in question. She had given me her personal cell phone # and email for this exact purpose. After nearly a week, I'd yet to receive a response. I had my local Spanish friend call the cafe, and within 15 minutes, the manager answered my text. She stated that the insurance company had declined the claim to repair my laptop and that there was nothing else they could do. I responded, asking for details, and am now being ignored once again.
I feel as though I am being taken advantage of because they know I am from overseas. It makes no logical sense for the insurance company to decline the claim - there is ample proof of the incident - pictures, texts, emails/quotes from Apple, and witnesses. I have yet to receive the proof/reasoning of the declined claim from the manager in question. Nonetheless, even if the claim is/was denied, the cafe is still liable and must pay for the repairs THEY caused to my personal property.
I am hoping that management will do the right thing upon reading this review. They know how to reach me. I would like to say that aside from this experience, the cafe was outstanding. The food, drinks, and service were great. The waiters/waitresses are extremely friendly and efficient. I would no doubt have given it 5 stars if they'd treated me with fairness and respect in light of the laptop situation.
Great place, great atmosphere. The only reason I am rating with 4 stars is because the wifi only works for two hours. During the week they allow laptops at certain areas, and as I study I constantly buy coffee/snacks and I should be able to use wifi for longer then 2 hours in that case.
Very rude and unfriendly employees. Even there is plenty of space you are not allowed to sit with your laptop there. Even when consuming and eating. What makes it worse is the absolute arrogant behaviour.
Great quantity. Free wifi for 2 hours
