Quiet comfy place for study, work, catch up with friend. But the food only served until 6pm, wifi is good, there’s indoor and outdoor seats, with clean toilet and a praying room.
Visited Capslock Coffee with a friend, and it was a great experience overall. The cafe offers a wide range of menu options, including their specialty coffees, non-coffee beverages like milk teas and mocktails, and snacks such as fries and pastries. We decided to try the Creamy Bananas and Matcha Berry.
The Creamy Bananas drink was delightful—creamy, not too sweet, and enjoyable. The Matcha Berry was a unique combination, with a mix of sweet and slightly sour crushed strawberry jam-like flavor paired with a milky matcha that had a nice bitter edge. Both drinks were well-prepared and delicious.
The atmosphere is cozy, quiet, and well-lit, making it an ideal spot for working on your laptop or just having a chat with friends. The indoor space is esp recommended if you're looking to focus on work. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas, so you can choose based on your preference.
However, there were a few minor issues during my visit. The menu was a bit difficult to read due to its layout, which could use some improvement to make it more user-friendly. Additionally, while the cafe provides facilities like a mushola and a restroom, they had run out of paper towels in the handwashing area during my visit.
Cozy place to do your job or just hang out with friends. The place is comfortable and the wifi connection is pretty fast. The coffee taste is also very good. There are also toilets and prayer rooms here. Highly recommended!
Many came here to work or study. The place was full music but not too loud. Some chairs to work alone or in groups indoor or outdoor. Spacious and easy to find plugs. Fast wifi. Baristas are nice amd helpful too. I bought a cup of cold brew with lemon, and tasted good.

Jogja is the city of coffee shops! This time, I tried coffee at Capslock. At first, I got lost because the place was a bit tucked away in a residential complex. Yes, it can be called a hidden gem, right? Looking at the updates from Instagram, it seems very crowded, maybe when I arrived it was still a bit early. The place is cozy and really suitable for assignments here, lots of plugs haha. Fast wifi too! There are prayer rooms and clean toilets here. You can choose indoor and outdoor. Several coffeeshops that I've been to, here I found my favorite coffee drink with the flavor I'm looking for, namely butterbeer latte! Really good!
I do not know how to describe the place since it is like a normal algorithm of a cafè. It's spacious, but the wifi is the problem. The food they serve on a limited time. I do not know the specific time since i only come once. When i visited this place, the food was already out of service, except snacks. However, I recommended to not expect too much for the taste of the food. It also works with the drinks. It is still tolerable and a good place for study, but not for me.
It's a cozy and comfort place for working or studying. It offers various foods on their menu but when I came the kitchen staffs weren't there so they just provided snacks and drinks. However, the taste was still good.
Clean and spacious place, the price range is good, parking for car is limited though. I think they need to improve their wifi cause when i was there, it was so slow that i keep getting kicked out from my room meeting
Coffee, place is good. But wifi is very slow, this is problem for who work from here. please changes provider wifi and must be login every 3 hours.
Actually, it's just okay, the outside is really hot, like it's in an oven even though it's nighttime, not daytime. The indoor is quite cold, but there's something wrong with the table and chair layout, the structure can accommodate lots of tables and chairs but only a few? Many tables that can seat 4 people are used for 1 person, so if there are a lot of people coming, you won't get space. I think the drink is expensive, yesterday I bought the regular size (small) but the water was only half a cup and the ice cubes didn't even touch the water. The wifi is not bad, it's not that slow, it's comfortable enough for being productive on a laptop/cellphone
One of the new cafes in the wilderness of the Pogung Baru boarding house. The place is comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and perfect for studying, discussions, or working. There's a non-smoking room and a back area for smokers. There are plenty of outlets, and cable coils are provided. The barista counter is in the southeast corner of the room.
The facilities are adequate for a standard cafe. There's a prayer room, sink, and restroom. The back area has auditorium-style seating, perfect for group discussions.
The Wi-Fi is good. Unfortunately, the connection drops out a few times, possibly due to a glitch with my ISP (internet service provider).
I ordered the croffle, which was on sale for 2 for 30,000 Rupiah. It was delicious and crunchy. The red velvet wasn't perfect for me, who usually coffee-hops between coffee shops and always orders this item. The other menu prices are standard—for someone who regularly hangs out at cafes.
---
One criticism I have is that, for a cafe in the $$ price range, it's not very environmentally friendly. Drinks are packaged in disposable cups and plastic straws. The croffle is served in a cardboard box with a paper liner. Even then, they still use plastic cutlery.
The hope is that in the future, when the stock of disposable cutlery and drinking utensils runs out, they can switch to reusable ones (glass cups, stainless steel straws, ceramic plates). Disposables are indeed practical because they don't need to be washed, but among young people, environmental awareness is growing, and small things like this can influence their opinions. 😉
Cheers. 🥂
A nice place to do some quiet homework...
The Wi-Fi is pretty fast.
But the indoor area is VERY HOT, the AC doesn't work 😭😭😭
The music playing is the same all the time, so I got bored listening to it for 2 hours of coffee there 😌
The prices are reasonable, but the standard palm sugar coffee is 25 thousand rupiah.
The place is very comfortable for working on assignments, with indoor and semi-outdoor seating.
It's located in a complex, but it's easy to access.
The coffee is one of my favorites; the creamy milk and coffee are just right!
Surprisingly, the cireng and cassava are delicious.
The Wi-Fi is fast, and the playlist is great.
There's a prayer room and clean restrooms.
The coffee is delicious. I ordered the caramel rush because it was recommended, and it turned out to be delicious. The location is quite spacious and comfortable for working or doing assignments because there are plenty of outlets. The Wi-Fi is also adequate. The prayer area is quite clean. Overall, a nice experience. Keep it up!
The berry milky is delicious, with lots of strawberries.
It's a great place to open your laptop, and there's a prayer room, although they could probably add some air freshener.
The cheesecake is a bit soft and a bit too salty.
If you like coffee with milk but bold coffee, this place is okay! The smoking area is hot, but there are spots that are actually okay, but it's dark and not well lit, so the smoking area feels small, huhu :(
(It's not very visible in the photo)
But the air-conditioned room is great for working on your laptop~ heeeee
One of the coffee shops in Jogja that's perfect for working from home or just hanging out with friends☕✨
The menu varies from coffee, non-coffee, and snacks (sweet & savory). One of the dishes that keeps me coming back is the Berry Milky because it's just the right amount of sweetness, and the strawberries are real and plentiful🍓
The service is friendly. The place is comfortable, with indoor air conditioning and outdoor fan. There are also additional power outlets you can borrow if needed. There are restrooms and a prayer room. The motorcycle parking is quite spacious and there's an attendant (motorbikes cost 2,000 Rupiah).
The Wi-Fi is sometimes slow, but sometimes it's fast. It's perfect for WFC or me time. Worth a try!✨
The wifi was a bit slow for a while, there is a prayer room, friendly self-service, you can borrow contact rolls
A perfect place for working or assignments.
There are indoor and outdoor options depending on your needs and availability.
Almost all tables have sockets; if not, you can ask the cashier for a cable reel.
Nice atmosphere, busy but well-maintained.
Minus: Limited parking.
Good for hanging out, fast wifi, spacious too, the air conditioner is nice cold, prices are reasonable, croissants are also delicious, there are promotions too :D
Affordable, Wi-Fi available, plenty of seating, and perfect music. Great for laptops. There are also power outlets. The room temperature is quite cool.
The place is quite good, but there are no power outlets, the wifi is so bad it can't be used, and the female staff are really rude, they don't smile at all, and they're really annoying. The male staff are friendly, and the menu is varied and delicious, but the women's bathroom is not a big deal.
The indoor area and the menu are the only good ones.
Otherwise -
The wait for the food to arrive was incredibly long. We've been waiting for over 40 minutes and it hasn't arrived yet. My friend and I ordered nanban, and it should have arrived together. This was the first time, and there was a really long gap between the first and the second. My friend's boyfriend also ordered food, even though we ordered together, but his food hasn't arrived for a really long time either. We've been waiting over 40 minutes. 😅
The Wi-Fi is also like that, tbtb, it won't connect. So I don't think it's worth it for a thesis or assignment. If it's just for hanging out with friends, it's fine.
the outdoor indoor is delicious, the price of the coffee is still safe (20 thousand), the COFFEE IS DELICIOUS BTW especially the qwerty.....
Parking a car seems a bit difficult, but if you motorbike it's safe. There is a prayer room but there aren't any mukenas, so it's better to just bring a mukena from the start. the wifi is okay but if it rains it seems like all of jogja's wifi will fail (especially pogung)
THE WAFFLES ARE REALLY DELICIOUS SUERRRRR huhuhuhu I've been buying waffles everywhere, the most suitable ones are here.
The coffee is delicious, thick, really bold coffee taste. But it's a shame it's sweet too 😅 It seems a bit uncomfortable in the throat. Did you add sugar? Or use SKM? Hmmm, I didn't ask because I was quite rushed when I got there. But it's still delicious. Next order, maybe I'll tell the barista not to be too sweet.
The place is really cozy for assignments/work. Looks spacious and loose. It's also nice to hang out with. The atmosphere is not crowded. Customers who come chat quietly (no one laughs haha hihi that's loud) so it creates a conducive and comfortable atmosphere.
The baristas are friendly and smiling. Standard coffee prices for Jogja cafes in general. wifi is also fast. The location is quite difficult, because the Pogung area is really like a maze, hahaha. But it's easy to find using Google Maps.
Recommended for those looking for a cafe with a comfortable working space.
For me, it's cozy for office workers like us and students. The Wi-Fi is fast, unlimited, and slow. I'm a visitor, but when I'm in Yogyakarta, I always visit almost several times a week. Capslock is the best small-scale cafe. Good luck and consistent taste. Even the coffee is roasted by the owner himself in a special room for coffee processing. The staff are humble, and the toilets are clean, and there is a prayer room. Goodlah 99.99%.
The inside is filled with people working, while the outdoor area is filled with people smoking and discussing. It's comfortable, not too spacious, and not too noisy. The menu is standard to high-end. It's a good choice. Wi-Fi is available and secure.
Suggestion: Signs urging people to keep silent or not talk too loudly should be put in place, especially indoors. If you want to chat a lot or be loud, perhaps you could direct them to the outdoor area.
It's very comfortable here, but it's a shame if you happen to encounter other overly talkative visitors. The noise will be heard from one end to the other because the indoor space is relatively small. I've noticed that 80% of people here are laptop-oriented, including myself, who comes here almost every day. It's very distracting to see talkative visitors indoors.
The place is comfortable and relatively quiet, so if you're looking for a quiet cafe, this could be an option. The Wi-Fi account is limited to only two devices, so those bringing two phones and one PC can't have one of them connect to Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is also limited to two hours, after which it will automatically disconnect. If you want to work all day, you can't. As for the coffee itself, I still don't like the signature Caps Lock, it's too pricey for the taste and facilities compared to other places.
The chocolate tastes good, the barista is just okay, a bit lacking in smiles. Nada invites/serves orders is also flat. The place is quite spacious, suitable for assignments/co-working space.
Not suitable for laptops, whether for assignments, work or activities that require internet, because the wifi is very bad.
not bad,... my wifi is fast, live and rarely lags,... the waiters are also friendly,... the coffee is delicious
Slow and intermittent Wi-Fi, overpriced dry softbaked cookies. Why are the softbaked cookies dry? They don't feel soft at all.
The wifi was hard to connect to my device, and the music was too loud, but the atmosphere of the place was comfortable.
