Chanties creative cafe 🎨

Very disappointed! Had to pay 6EUR for a two people reservation before I even arrived to the cafe. We came and were seated at a small table with uncomfortable chairs, where a cat would never come to cuddle or say hi. The cafe tries to maximize the space but it shouldnt come at an expense of the actual experience being worse. We waited between 10-15 minutes just to be greeted and given menus, which is quite a long time for a small cafe like that with two people working and most of the other guests already having their coffees and desserts. The prices were pretty high, espresso and cappuccino (4.1EUR) were more expensive than any other cafe on Haarlemmerstraat and I already paid extra for the booking (which is supposed to be for the cats) so I dont understand why I have to pay so much for a cappuccino, where not even the foam is up to normal cappuccino standards. The booking we got lasted one hour, in the hour I touched no cat and no cat looked at me. I know you cant force cats to play and cuddle and there will always be an element of randomness, when it comes to the cats interacting with you. But if you create an environment where in most places to sit, the cats also feel comfortable, it increases the chance of the cats coming closer to the guests. For all the money this cafe charges, they can afford comfy chairs and sofas...
To conclude, would not recommend - spent almost 30EUR for bad coffee and average dessert and no cats. There are much better cat cafes than this one, visit those instead.

This cafe is such a cozy place. We had high tea, with some nice cakes, scones and sandwiches. The people working there were super nice, and the cats are friendly and relaxed, since they have plenty of space and they can do as they want. Keep in mind that there is a 5 euro entry fee per person to compensate for the low number of tables (which is fair, since it keeps the cats from getting stressed)

The cats are lovely, the people working here are nice, the place has a nice atmosphere and the food was decent. The cats are well taken care of and clearly relaxed, and comfortable with people.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere here. You can feel that comfort and safety of the resident cats are top priority. Staff is friendly, cats are adorable, food is nice, coffee is really tasty. I appreciate their booking system, which brings a peaceful environment both for the cats and the guests. I'm also happy to read on their website that they are ok with working/studying with laptop. I'll definitely visit again!
