Coat Check Coffee

So cute, amazing vibes. I highly recommend checking out the art museum on the second floor. The walls are some sort of dark brown wood and really have a dark academia asthetic to everything. The coffee was really cute, everyone I passed had cute latte art. My matcha was absolutely delicious and realky helped me to wake up. The place had a good choice of music and tasteful coffe shop ambience. Purfect for studying or working or completing some task of some kind. The workers where so kind and the drinks were made quickly. It seems like there is a lot more to do here than just coffee but I did not have a lot of want to explore because the vibes of the coffee shop itsself were so enthralling. Highly recommend, enough rambling just go visit them.

A place with delicious coffee and a great atmosphere, perfect for studying or working on a laptop.

Kind of a hidden gem. Was looking for a place that had good seating for working while also having a good cup of coffee. This place did not disappoint. Would highly recommend.

There is a local artist who does work here, John Vazquez. Must stop in here if only to see his work.

Perfect place to pull out your laptop and get some work done. Butterscotch latte is so delicious!! Really like it!! The croissant doesn’t meet my expectation probably will try some other bakery next time!

Very spacious coffee shop, perfect place to do some work. Staff is very polite. Drinks and bakery also very good. I got a croissant and it was flaky and delicious, not soggy like sone other spots I’ve frequented.

A nice space to work and be amongst art and history. Unfortunately, the matcha I ordered was not great.

Very good coffee and pastries; very strong wifi; unbeatable surroundings in a German/ic cultural center's historic headquarters, with stained glass, ornate wood and plaster decoration everywere, and an art space upstairs. At least somewhat expensive, perhaps very much so, depending what you're accustomed to, but they certainly have the quality to back it. A good place to do work, as the 90-minute time limit announced by signs around the space is no longer in effect.

Mercy Road Downtown Church service is great . Little coffee shop in front is great for cup of Joe . Peaceful place & wifi as you enjoy the atmosphere.

I had Coat Check Coffee on my list for a while and finally made it to the shop. The latte and croissant were good, especially the latte! I’ll certainly go back for the butterscotch latte (to go). Overall, I would rate the ambience almost average as compared to few other nice coffee shops in and around the downtown. They could add some more lighting to make the place look lively and enjoyable. It also helps those who come to read or work on their laptops while sipping on their coffee (s).

Really nice cafe.
I really like that you have alot of space at this one, others are much smaller.
Also, you have a history lesson inside about how Germans shaped the city.
I ordered a decaf americano and the butter croissant. The americano was on the stronger side while the croissant was perfectly flaky but was overcooked.
wifi is good. Sound travels though due to the higher ceilings so not good for calls.
I do like the seating arrangements though. The place is best for studying or meeting for a coffee date.
Also, the hours are limited like most coffee shops downtown... wish they had extended hours.
