Its a nice place in general but in my personal opinion is overpriced, they are stingy with the wifi and 8lv for a latte is isane. And can we please stop charge additional price for a almond/coconut etc milk?
Good place for a remote work on laptop. Power sockets and good wifi. The coffee is ok, the air conditioning could be a little bit freezing. Good spot also for chilling on one of the window tables while just observing people passing by on Vitosha Bld.
I had to kill time waiting for the night train to Burgas so I stayed the afternoon working at this place in vitosha Blvd. The food and drinks are great. The wifi is good (only one hour and then you have to consume more to get extended) and the bathroom was clean.
Central coffe place in Sofia. Good coffee. Prices of beverages and food a bit high for the average of the city. Music too loud for having a conversation. Crowded during the day. Free wifi allowed to use only one hour.
It's a easy place for a coffee, also has nice gimmicks like wireless charging on the table, or plugs to connect your phone! wifi is open, but should be encrypted with a password at least for the safety and speed of everyone. Then just put a QR code with the password.
Nice spot to have a coffee or a smoothie. And you can easily use your laptop to work here or charge your phone. Many outlets
Yes, it is a franchise coffee shop, but it's a really nice one! Besides the 1A location which offers a constant insight in the busy life of Sofia's main shopping and meetup street, it is a quiet island for productivity and concetration. 100%of the visitors were students and young professionals studying, working, quite an amazing athmosphere. And the interior is definitely inviting for those activities.
However, even the standars of an international franchise. Cannot "beat" the "standards" of restrooms in Bulgaria! I am really ready ti bet again myself if I will ever have the chance to visit a bulgarian cafe/bar/restaurant with a clean toilet. With nothing missing, no stains on the seat, and toilet paper available, this cafe missed on this chance. Even more: there is only one toilet for this relatively large cafe in the busiest street in sofia, with dmaged lock so you cannot lock yourself inside and the usual: no toilet paper, no paper towels ...
False advertising
They don't offer free wifi they do one hour one device per purchase. You need to look up what free means and stop false advertising what you don't provided!
It's not about buzz words it's about knowing what words mean and actually doing it!
Staff are nice though don't make them sell lies
This is a great place for a morning or afternoon coffee, the staff is friendly, you can work there on your laptop, there are wireless charging devices for the phone, the coffee is really good and i also got a bagel which was actually appetising. It is a self service, amex is not accepted but visa and Mastercard without a problem.
Compared to competetors like Starbucks and Costa, Coffee Fellows is highly overpriced. The small Hot Chocolate is actually very small, even smaller than the small cup would suggest. It tastes average at best. The same goes for the Iced Coffee. The store is absolutely rammed with people using their laptop for the Free wifi, which seems to be the main target group of Coffee Fellows
Originally a very cozy and nice cafe, now complete with its transformation into packed coworking office space. Enjoy only if you bring device.
Weird non-cafe atmosphere of silently working minds and at times hostile teen eyes. The food and coffee are otherwise top quality, though the personnel is little lost at times.
Unfortunately, as a local I can only rank this place as a tourist trap. Overpriced coffee for 10BGN, bad attitude from the staff. What is more, they only give wifi access for one hour and then you have to buy something again from their overpriced menu. Definitely not a Bulgarian practice here. On top, we saw a bedbug on one of the walls and left immediately. I hate to be writing this review, but the place used to be so much better when they started.
wifi password is indicated on the receipt, which only allowed for 1 gadget.
Facilities friendly for student or work as power point are readily available at the table.
Access to the toilet required QR code on your receipt, which is inconvenient.
Coffee is more on the expensive side.
Not only does the coffee cost minimum 8 leva, which is extremely overpriced for Bulgarian standards, but in order to use the wifi you need a code from your receipt and the code expires every hour. I understand that since there’s a lot of people using the cafe to work there, they might stay for a couple of hours only having a coffee, which is translated in the high prices for food and drinks, but on top of that to add a wifi limitation, urging the customers to spend no less than 7-8 leva every hour is appalling. The coffee is also nothing truly special, so for the same amount of money or even less, all the while having wifi throughout your stay, you could go to the Costa cafe next doors.
I have no friends and no job, but when I enter I get the sudden urge to get a work from home job and bring my laptop 🥀
This was our regular for weekend family brunch - nice atmosphere, good coffee and good food. For the last 4 weeks, when we tried to go there all the tables were occupied by 1 person with laptops and finished drinks.
Just as a suggestion - make a "no laptop policy on weekends" or brunch hours on weekends, because for a table of 4 I am positive we spend more than all the rest.
The perfect spot to enjoy a very nice coffee and study in the same time. The place is constructed for students who wants a cosy corner to study with a laptop or not, without losing a great view from the Vitosha Boulevard.
My new fave urban coffee spot. Won me over even before i set foot inside, with their panoramic window tables. I love watching people hurriedly go about their day or tourists dreamily exploring our high street, as I'm enjoing the best cappuccino and vegan apple pie in Sofia.
Modern place for modern people who don't want to choose between trendy and cosy. Very hygge and very accommodating, perfect for a working nomad looking for good food + good coffee + work space
Not suitable for working as the wi fi drops after an hour and you need to enter a code from a new receipt. So if you are in a meeting expect to drop from it until you buy a coffee and enter a new code. Unaccceptable. Also in the summer there is a lack of fresh air inside. Otherwise the atmosphere is good.
This is a fantastic cafe for a remote working space. It is designed with the clear understanding that you need space when you sit down with a laptop. There are healthy snacks available, the coffee is great, wide, comfy tables and chairs, sockets everywhere. I would bring all of my friends here.
Great for studying or working. The atmosphere is cool and the place smells nice. 😁
Just ok. The tables are too high for comfortable laptop work. Ok for 45 minutes.
The staff really could not care less. They talk to each other much more than they talk to the customers.
Nice location and interior. Staff was smiling but weird. I had a cappuccino and it was nothing special, the coffee was over baked. Toilet had no hangers and no door between the two rooms and the lock was not working properly. Could not open the door on the first try because of the QR code. Overall I would not visit again.
Its not really a coffee shop more like an internet cafe thst allows students to take up a four seat table with one drink a laptop and books. Called there but was told we are at 50pc capacity but yet 50pc of tables are not blocked off so its more guess work. It would be wise just to close off half the tables. A word of advice to the manager clear out the laptop crew and you may make profit. If you need a place to sit over a drink for 4 hours stress free in a warm environment, this is your place. Will save on your home heating bill
This place is ridiculous. Every time I passed it I noticed a lot of people working on laptops so I assumed this was Starbucks-like place where people can drink coffee and work.
We came with a group of 5 for a quick "work and eat" session. "Free wi-fi" sign proudly displayed on the door - perfect, exactly what we need.
Before ordering, I double-checked that wi-fi is free because we needed it for our work session.
We ordered sandwiches, cakes and drinks, sat down and - surprize! - you need your receipt to get online.
We don't have our receipt anymore because, of course, nobody told us we had to keep it, so we go back and wait in line to ask for one.
Turns out you cannot get one until someone buys something and does not want their receipt. I wait. I finally get a receipt and connect to wi-fi.
My colleagues try the same but - surprize! - it's one receipt per device. I go back, stand in line. After 15 minutes of waiting for someone to gift me their receipt.
I decide to buy everyone in our group ANOTHER (we already bought those) bottle of water. BGN2.70 for 0.5 liters in case you are wondering.
I get my water and my receipts, we sit down and try connecting. No luck - wi-fi is not working. Eventually we managed to connect, but the connection drops every 10 minutes, and we keep losing the work. We eat our sandwiches, drink our coffee, and leave. To add to the insult, food/drinks was pretty meh.
Great place to study and do some work as most people are quiet and working/studying. People stay a long time, so it may be difficult to find a spot and might want to visit earlier for a better place. The only setback is the pricing in my opinion - even simple drinks (cola/fanta) are way overpriced. If you don’t mind the price increase I’d recommend this place for a relaxing coffee or study/ work session.
