This place is incredible. We come here very often and have a full experience video on our socials. The ambiance, the food, bakery and drinks are very good. Love the combination of indoor / outdoor with tons of plants and a small library.
Great place to come with friends and catch up or to get some work done.
Great wifi & the staff is lovely and very professional.
Do not be fool there is plenty of space on the back even with a little “private” room.

Hidden Pages, Hidden Pleasures
Damian’s Cafe y Libros in Guadalajara is a study in contrasts. Hidden behind a nondescript street entrance and parking lot, it opens into a carefully curated retreat of books, greenery, and the watchful eyes of black-and-white author portraits. It is cozy, bohemian, and designed for lingering—an inviting space to read, study, or set up a laptop and spend the afternoon over coffee.
The menu, though, is uneven. The roasted cauliflower, finished with Parmesan, leans slightly undercooked—pleasantly crunchy yet shy of tender. Patatas bravas a la Mexicana arrive unadorned save for an unexpected, sharp heat and a cooling white sauce on the side; they surprise, although their plainness borders on austere. The Sancho Panza bowl—kale, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, brown rice, edamame hummus, and house dressing—delivers freshness and balance, if not revelation. Service is warm but unsteady, with even simple questions requiring a check-up in the kitchen.
In the end, Damian’s is less about culinary discovery than about the place itself. It succeeds as a comfortable, quietly stylish refuge for work, conversation, or solitude, more satisfying as a backdrop than as a dining destination.

Hidden Pages, Hidden Pleasures
Damian’s Cafe and Books in Guadalajara is a game of contrasts. Hidden behind a discreet entrance and an unremarkable parking lot, it transforms into a carefully curated haven of books, plants, and black-and-white portraits of great authors. It’s a cozy and bohemian space, designed for lingering: reading, studying, or setting up your laptop and spending the afternoon with a coffee.
The food, however, is inconsistent. The roasted cauliflower with Parmesan is slightly undercooked: crunchy, yes, but lacking the expected tenderness. The patatas bravas, Mexican-style, arrive simple, accompanied by an unexpected spiciness and a side of white sauce; they're surprising, though bordering on austere. The Sancho Panza bowl—with kale, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, brown rice, edamame hummus, and house dressing—is fresh and balanced, more satisfying than memorable. The service is friendly, but hesitant: even basic questions require confirmation from the kitchen.
In the end, Damian’s is more of a space than a gastronomic experience. It shines as a comfortable and stylish refuge for working, conversing, or being alone, more satisfying as a setting than as a culinary destination.

I loved the place; it's super comfortable for any kind of activity. They have an area if you want to work on your laptop or read, and other areas if you just want to eat and chat. The food is delicious, and the drinks are even better!
The service was good and attentive.
Beautiful place, lovely atmosphere, good Wi-Fi. Ideal if you want to have a coffee, read, study, have brunch, or dinner.
