Absolutely love Doma Cafe! The coffee is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect whether you're working remotely or catching up with friends. The staff is friendly, attentive, and they really know their craft. The interior is stylish but cozy, with plenty of natural light and great music at just the right volume. where did you watch sure?Thank you Their pastries and sandwiches are also top-notch—everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Easily one of my favorite spots in Chicago!
TOP CAFE in Chicago!!!! The food is done intentionally, very flavorful. Having the indoor and outdoor option is a plus, convenient for working and families - Their matcha is strong and has the perfect color (coming from a matcha fanatic.) I highly recommend 👍🏻
Came around 1pm on a Friday, lots of people working at tables and most of the tables were full by 1:45. Caesar salad with crispy chicken is lemony and refreshing and delicious. The serving size is not very big, but everything about this dish is perfect. The breakfast sandwich was good, want to try it with a hashbrown next time. Also might add more of their sauce.
Small cafe with good tasting food. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon and it was pretty good. The people working were super nice!!!
Doma means home - and that is exactly true of the food + experience that you will receive when dining with Doma. We are absolute regulars and it never gets old. The high quality food, simple and relaxing atmosphere, accommodating staff, and overall deliciousness makes this an extension of our home.
Perfect for a solo date, working from home, meeting friends post workout, weekend breakfasts - get there early, but if not - the line moves quick! Super kid + baby friendly, too.
We are so impressed with what used to be our favorite hidden gem - and are so excited everyone is catching on.
Our favorites: Matcha, Iced Latte, Pancake, Breakfast Sandwich (extra sauce!), Granola Bowl, and of course the Hashbrowns.
HORRIBLE treatment of delivery workers that I witnessed first hand by the man working in the takeout window (who was likely a manager or owner). I watched him verbally assault takeout drivers because they didn’t speak English as their first language, while I waited 45+ min for a coffee and egg sandwich. My order was never texted or emailed to me that it was ready. I had to check back twice and got an attitude from this man. He was rude when I checked in because the app told me 15 minutes when in reality was 45. Horribly prejudice - his verbatim was “you need to learn how to speak English” to a driver. In front of ALL customers. Really rich coming from a man who doesn’t speak English as his first language either. Disgusting and Racist behavior coming from an overpriced cafe on Orleans in a terrible neighborhood. Shameful.
Grain bowl w cutlet is my go to: fiber and protien plus its TASTY. Cool place to chill alone or meet a friend for coffee / co-working. I like the vibes. Good european (croatian) specific menu plus american food/drinks with quality ingredients that appeals to everyone.
Whoever wrote that review that Doma's a good environment to work in...unfortunately I can't agree. Their interior and European food rock!! The cevapi rules. But my friends and I tried to work shortly on our laptops there and it wasn't ideal. It was a Saturday, the music was very loud and the wifi was 2 bars at best. We got vibes that we weren't welcome to sit long, maybe because they intend to serve as many sit-down guests as possible on the weekend. Maybe it's different on the weekdays.
Vibe is really good and drinks are good but food is over priced, cafe area is always cold in the winter, wifi is weak, and they have an extremely irritating bell that rings every time someone opens the door; EXTREMELY annoying when it’s busy. PS: they add 18% gratuity to all orders, I don’t mind this but just be aware as you will still be prompted to tip.
