Dummin Coffee & Space UKDW

Dummin Coffee, conveniently located right in front of UKDW, is a wonderful cafe. They serve great coffee and truly delicious French fries, all offered with the most friendly service. The space is excellent, featuring comfortable outdoor seating, a spacious indoor area, and even a second level. Prices are fair, and the wifi is reliable enough. It's an absolutely great spot to settle in for some work, to catch up with friends or wait for my wife to finsih her work :-)

Here's my review after visiting on January 1, 2026:

The drinks and fried rice were delicious. The cashier service was quite good. The taste and prices are quite suitable for upper-middle class students, as it's located near a private university.

The place has three floors. Only the third floor is suitable for smokers. The second floor is an option for groups of four. The first floor is sufficient for 1-2 people, especially those who like to take photos.

There are two real issues: the bathroom lighting is still minimal and the sometimes poorly organized motorcycle parking area.

The place is an attractive option for hanging out, doing assignments, or working 24/7, with adequate Wi-Fi.

For those who want to work non-stop (from night to morning), I think this is the perfect place for you. It's open 24 hours a day and offers a wide variety of food and drinks. The seating is also comfortable, with sofas for those who feel like they'll be working all day so they don't get tired.

It's also perfect for hanging out. The space is spacious and has plenty of seating, so you won't feel cramped. There's a power outlet at almost every seat.

The internet connection is quite good. Yesterday, I did some homework and mostly streamed movies without any issues, as there were other customers also using the internet. Plus, they have 5G, so it's safe for those of you who want to browse the internet.

The restrooms are a bit small but clean. I didn't check the second floor, but there's only one restroom on the first floor.

The only downside is the parking lot; it's quite small. It might be difficult to find during busy times, especially right in front of the main road. So, maybe you should pay more attention if you're bringing a vehicle, or make sure there's a parking spot.

A nice and representative place. Suitable for work or small meetings. Cool AC, stable Wi-Fi. Food and drinks are quite tasty, prices are above average for a regular cafe. There's a semi-outdoor area on the second floor, perfect for connoisseurs of smoking. The location is easily accessible, right in front of the UKDW campus. A slight downside is limited parking for cars, and it can be a bit difficult to get to when it's busy with motorbikes. Overall, it's still okay.

Recommended 24 hour cafe. Very suitable for staying up late doing work or for remote work. The coffee is delicious, the snacks are also okay. A bit upscale but worth it. There is a prayer room on the 3rd floor, but the ablution is on the 2nd floor. The toilet is quite clean, doesn't smell bad. Ample parking, there is a parking attendant who helps. Fast wifi plugs are also safe, but if you don't have enough, you can bring your own terminal. Cashless available.

My favorite place to do assignments, especially on the 2nd floor. Complete facilities: Wi-Fi, AC, clean bathroom, plenty of power outlets. There used to be a tissue box, but it seems they don't anymore. The matcha is delicious!

Parking is quite cramped. If you bring a car, it's a bit difficult. The prices are standard for a cafe like this.
Payment is cashless, the menu is quite varied and there are quite a lot of recommendations.
The staff at the ordering section are okay.
Orders are served quite quickly, so they can be picked up at the same time.

However, some spots lack laptop charging sockets, toilets, and Wi-Fi.
However, I was there yesterday, October 3, 2023, and I was a bit disappointed. From the beginning of my arrival at 7:30 PM until 10:00 PM, the power went out about 5 times. Although it was only for a short time, it was very annoying. For work, I had to wait for the Wi-Fi to reconnect.

This is my third time here. I thought there would be improvements to the system and Wi-Fi, but it's still the same.

I was given a remote, but it didn't work for 30 minutes. When I went to the counter, the cashier apologized, but it felt like it had happened so often.

The location is quite strategic, perfect for assignments and hanging out, and the food and drink prices are also affordable. Luckily, I got a spot on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the UKDW campus, which is a plus for this workspace. There are also plenty of power outlets in various corners. Parking is limited, so it's best not to drive here.

The coffee is delicious👍🏻, the price of drinks is standard cafe, there are 3 floors, there is a toilet, there is no cover, it is open 24 hours but there are order hours, the tall, handsome cashiers🫶🏻, the parking lot is small but don't worry there is a parking attendant, parking costs 2k, lots of power outlets, the coldest room is on the 1st floor, the wifi is fast, the atmosphere is a bit crowded because there are lots of people doing assignments there but together it gets a bit noisy because of the discussions

Ah, it's good for 24 hours. Fast wifi, price fits your pocket. In the middle of town too. Suitable for hanging out while doing work and then healing your eyebrows.

The Wi-Fi is decent, with roadside access, but parking is a bit tight. The drinks are decent, but the flavor is a bit lacking in my opinion. 7.5/10 for the matcha and mango juice. But for just working from home or working from home, it's fine.

The Wi-Fi is fast, perfect for WFC for remote workers or those on assignment. The Wi-Fi is secured (enter the password from the taskbar, not the one that logs in through the web like Mikrotik). The speed was taken on the 2nd floor at 9 PM, where many people were using laptops and all the tables were occupied, except for the rows facing the street (using 5G as shown in the picture).

The F&B is nice, but when it's crowded, it's really crowded. It's uncomfortable for hanging out or working. The minimal use of space makes it seem like it's not being maximized but rather being forced to accommodate a large number of customers, especially on the 2nd and 3rd floors and the smoking area.

The toilet smells and is dirty..the place is dirty..even though the food prices are expensive for a cafe..it's quiet and the wifi is fast, good for doing assignments..but it turns out it's dirty and filthy..the waiters are not friendly.

The second floor is very hot and the lighting in the second floor toilet is dark. The Wi-Fi is a bit slow.

A workspace full of young men and women carrying laptops and gadgets. Most people come to work. Few chat. They drink coffee and sit for hours. It's comfortable. Clean. Good atmosphere. Affordable. Cool too. Perfect for working anytime.

Motorcycle parking is full. Adequate. However, if parking is difficult, it's better not to bring a car.

Dummin Coffee and Space UKDW is a comfortable coffee shop option in the UKDW area, especially for those looking for a place to do assignments or work on a laptop. The facilities are quite good, from fast and stable Wi-Fi to power outlets available in numerous locations, so you don't have to fight for space when bringing your laptop.

The coffee is also delicious and the menu is quite diverse. Payments are supported by QRIS, making transactions more convenient. The place is perfect for casual hangouts or WFC, especially when it's not too busy.

If you plan to arrive early in the morning, especially around 6:00 a.m., don't expect everything to be fully operational, as it's usually still in the preparation phase, so some services aren't fully ready. Furthermore, the outdoor area will be exposed to direct sunlight in the morning. So if the weather is clear, be prepared to enjoy the "heavenly light" of the Jogja sun. 😅 I personally prefer to sit indoors during these hours for more comfort.

The staffs are very nice :( The CHOCOLATE MILK is TOP TIER worth the price 🙂‍↕️ comfortable working space with beautiful scenery!
