I absolutely love Fuglen! I discovered their coffee in Tokyo a few years ago, and have also been buying their beans from a local cafe in Copenhagen. This was my first time trying
their coffee in Norway, and it didn’t disappoint. The cafe itself had a very cozy vibe, and my only minus points is for the staff, unfortunately. Didn’t seem very happy to be working there, and weren’t very serviceminded either.
Really good coffee and rooibos tea. There is free wifi, power outlets and cozy seating. Great place to chill on a rainy Saturday.
Honestly I don't know why this coffee has an excellent reputation. The staff is unfriendly, they don't even look at you when you talk. The ambience is so tight and crowded. Full of people pretending they're working. The coffee was actually good, but overshadowed by the rest. The prices are ridiculously expensive. No gluten free options of food by the way.
Beautiful aesthetics and lively atmosphere - feels like you are in a lofi music playlist sitting and working here :)
Beautiful coffee shop with plenty of options: cold brew, cocktails, delicious americano and pastries. Great music selection, service and wifi
Cozy spot for laptop sessions or a chat. Bakery goods, beer and quality 3rd wave coffee.
Was there after 7pm and their machine was not working and they dont serve sweets anymore.. Ended up with just tea.. But the tea was good.. It was actually a nice place.. Vintage style.. Relaxing ambiance.. Staff were ok i guess.. Might come back.. Maybe at an earlier time😅
Nice coffee and pastries. Atmosphere is really nice for relaxing, working, or talking with friends. It can get quite busy though. Sometimes it can be hard to find a seat.
Great coffee here! Tried a cappuccino and bought a bag of beans here. Also enjoyed the hip and cozy vibe here. Steady wifi connection if you plan to work on your laptop here. The location is also good. Close to the bus stop and a 15-minute walk to the National Museum.
Coffees were average. Not the greatest. Had Oat milk Cappuccino & iced latte. $$ for what it was. Cinnamon Bun was not very sweet & bread was good.
Service was slow. Only one person working, taking orders & making coffees.
Interior was awesome.
My favorite place in Oslo. First time I ever visited it was in 2018 and I came across it by chance. I was impressed the first time I was there and it stayed on my mind to visit again whenever I’m back in Oslo. And here I am today.
I love the atmosphere and the hospitality. It’s super cozy. Besides that it’s also laptop friendly and you can basically work there while having coffee. The coffee is amazing, and the in the evening the cocktails are delicious. I haven’t tried the food but wasn’t hungry when I was there. But I can say I saw the dumplings and they looked really good. The art also is one the of the things that grabbed my attention the most since first time I visited back in 2018, followed the artist even since that time.
I hope to visit their branches in Tokyo and NY in the future!
But absolutely must visit if you’re in Oslo.
Amazing coffee and great retro decoration. It's a good place to hang out or just work on the laptop.
