Genius Cafe Sanur

This is a Bali must! Especially if you are on the island to work. Every morning the sun rises here and you can easily spend all day eating, drinking and working in paradise literally on the beach and the sea in touching distance. Life doesn't get much better than that! Good clean food here and a calm atmosphere. The wifi is pretty good too so you're able to bring a laptop and work. The events they put on are good too. Music and meeting fellow travelers. Highly recommended

The vibe is nice — peaceful surroundings, comfortable seating, and a pleasant breeze. I was able to concentrate well and get much work done on my laptop.

The food is great, especially the smoothie bowls and smoothies — very tasty. One downside, though, is that they often don’t have certain items that are still listed on the menu. I’ve been here three or four times now, and each time something I wanted wasn’t available (then don't put it on your menu). Also, they have a lot of vegetarian options (which is fine), but then they’ve removed most of the meat-based choices, which was a little dissapointing. For example, they had some great-sounding quesadillas on the menu, but none with meat.

Wi-Fi isn’t always reliable nor super fast. Luckily, I had enough mobile data to switch when needed.

Service is good overall. Staff is very friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. All in all, a great spot to hang out or get some work done.

The food is good and healthy. Good internet connection, therefore it's always good to bring laptop and work here enjoying the breeze or even sunset.

The waiters are friendly and helpful. There is also jogging track nearby.

Delicious food. If you order by WhatsApp instead of grab/gojek it is cheaper. The staff is phenomenal. This is a great place to eat and an amazing place to catch the sunset

My only real feedback is that I would love to work here. They have great deals if you want to work in the cafe. But the internet is way, way too slow if you need it for work. Less than 10mbps (last time I was pulling .1 to .5 Mbps). If you guys want the laptop crowd to come, please please upgrade your internet. The advertising for fast internet is false. If you get faster internet I'll give you guys 5 stars ;)

What’s nicer than sitting outside by the beach enjoying good coffee, delicious food. I have relaxed here, caught up with friends and worked from my laptop using their superb wifi. Friendly welcoming hard working staff

Quite expensive but very unique and tasty menu (potato hash was unbelievably tasty). They have few electricity sets to work with laptop (but it's not a coworking actually). If you need a place to work, remember that this cafe is very crowdy, noisy and windy.

Erg leuke sfeervolle strandtent. Eten is smaakvol en er zijn veel vegaopties. Je kunt er ook goed met je laptop werken. Vooral bij zonsondergang is het genieten in een van de zitzakken of een ander leuk zitje. Het gerecht Bali bumbu is echt een aanrader?

The place has two areas, across small street to each other. It offers co-working package.
They have promo 60k for any food. We ordered burger and pancake. Strangely the pancake took more time than the burger, but, the wait was worth it.
They have some other promotions too. They have free turtle activity every Sunday and some other activities on different days. I like the place, it’s good for chilling by the beach.

Their food and atmosphere couldn't cover/hide their horrible service.

All of the servers were slow except for ONE waitress (only one girl server on sight at the time) who was on her feet all evening. I was obviously making eye contacts and asking the waiters when the waitress was really busy, but they all avoided me and one even looked away when I obviously called for him. Me and my friend were confused but we remained calm and decided to observe them, then we noticed how they were all far busier entertaining the foreigners/"bule" than they are serving(playing with a bule kid, chatting with groups of white girls, etc). Even when the food was close to them, they'd sign for the waitress to do the job. Their attitude gave us the impression that they just want the "privilege" to meet and greet with foreigners than actually doing their job.
It made us lost our appetite and we ended up skipping their gelato for dessert. We didn't have any desire to come back even when other restaurants were closed. I only put one star for the hard-working waitress.
So, locals, be warned. It's your typical bule-pleasing cafe. Will NOT come back again. Gross.

Absolutely loved our time at Genius Café Sanur. The food was next level—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding, with “SUGI” and the team making us feel welcomed and well looked after. The atmosphere was chilled, inspiring, and right by the beach—perfect for relaxing or working remotely. Easily one of the best spots in Sanur. We’ll definitely be back!

I like being here and working on the computer all day. There's always a light breeze so it's not super hot. The food is good and the coffee tastes good too.

In the evening you can sit outside on the beach and enjoy the dusk.

They have normal and fast wifi. For the faster one you have to ask.

The most expensive beer in all Bali, we bought beer in the restaurants, in our hotel Mercure Sanur resort next to this bar, in supermarkets, all over the Bali, Nusa Penida and Lombok island. Just to compare. In our four star hotel we paid 67 thousand for bottle 650ml, in restaurants 40-50 thousands for 650ml, in supermarkets 28-40 thousands for 650ml. Genius cafe is really genius. They have a promotion 1+1 free 😂😂😂 And how do you think how much is the beer? 109 thousands for 330ml together with service fee 😂😂😂. But the most ugly think about this cafe, that they don’t clean territory. One day during ocean tide trash washed up on the shore from the ocean. Our hotel workers cleaned it up same day, but genius cafe staff didn’t, they just left all the trash on the beach, letting the people sit and watch this mess. Beautiful view full of trash in front of GENIUS CAFE. Well done 👍 If you don’t care about your working place and about an environment, you don’t deserve any respect. Avoid this place, sitting and watching the total mess, you will pay for it lots of money.

Located at the Mertasari Beach, just in front of Mercure Hotel, Genius Cafe offers great selection of breakfast, lunch, dessert & alcoholic beverages. I came twice so far and have tried Scrambled Eggs for breakfast and Mexican Fajita for lunch, they were delicious but a bit on the pricey side. Darmawan and his staffs always says hi, very friendly and fun to be around with.

As for the co-working space, please remember that this is a beach front kinda cafe so it's a very laid back and noisy one. Tables are a lot, big and sturdy while sofas are available at front. Good to have some work done when you love your job enough to not get easily distracted and definitely not advised for e-meetings like webinar or Skype meeting.

Super delicious food from high quality ingredients at a nice location. It's expensive compared to other restaurants in this area. They also have lots of vegan, gluten-free/dairy-free options and everything is properly declared in the menu. Free wifi and great atmosphere for some computer work. Service is great and well-organised and brings your food quickly. Particularly noteworthy were the drinks, especially great choice of alcohol-free beverages in addition to many fancy-named cocktails.

Found this gorgeous cafe right on the beach and a super lovely staff member “Sebo” found me a great spot and brought me my coffee over within seconds! He was very lovely and set me up with wifi too. Definitely coming back for happy hour 😍

I just love coming to a place where the food is natural and the ambience good. The sweetest people working there and you are right at the beach! Thank you Jenny and Agus for making my visit memorable!

Fantastic cafe on the beach to eat, work, or just hang out. The place is right on the beach with both covered and non covered seating. They also have both tables and couches in case you want to alternate between working and relaxing. The menu is extensive. Lots of food/drink options. They're a bit pricey, but worth the quality. Plenty of electrical outlets to plug in. They also have different events every night. Plus, there's a constant beach breeze that keeps the place cool all day. Really an ideal place to hang out.

Great food. Mexican salad and the Chicken Fajitas were super. Good size portions too. Super food menu, choice of fresh juices /Mock-tails/ and alcoholic drinks too. On beachside so lovey sea breeze. Good wifi and chilled out “hip” atmosphere. Excellent service too.

Co-working and healthy cafe in Sanur isn't much as in Canggu area. Located by the Sanur white sandy calm beach, just the front of Mercure Hotel. This cafe is cozy enough to be second office, give it more inspiration, relax, escape in a while from the formal daily cubicle.
Infused Mexican menu, healthy granola bowl, fresh juice, and coffee is tasty yet quite pricey. Chicken BBQ pizza was too sweet for my taste, much better Margherita.
Their wash room is sharing with Mercure, just near the main pool.

Food was great and the staff was friendly, good service here. The view is amazing too! But tonight the weather is too windy & the connection was bad, so i can't connect the wifi

Community manager was unfriendly. Water at Sanur kind of dirty. Food was solid. wifi got a bit sketchy, but then they opened the employee one, and switching back and forth usually got you something.

I love Genius Cafe! Such a perfect spot on the beach with yummy healthyfood, and in the evenings a great happy hour with delicious drinks! Brilliant internet, becoming a member gives you access to even faster wifi too. There are great programs during the week including a beach clean up, Sunday funday for kids, movie nights and entrepreneur speakers! Really such a great place all round connected to an inspiring global community of entrepreneurs. The staff are all lovely too! Great service.

Really cool place on the beach. Surprised to see people actually came here with laptops - didn't expect to see that even though its supposed to be a co-working place. wifi available.
