No wifi on weekends
Great food and people. The shortcoming is the free for all for a table, no line, no lost, no priority by when you arrive. Add to that they let people sit endlessly with their laptops, so many table “off line” for hours with someone not buying anything and just working. Fix that and it’s perfect. Also, ALWAYS choose the tomato jam. Seriously.
A relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel like you could linger for hours. Bright, airy interior with plenty of natural light. There was a good mix of people—some with laptops working while others socializing—contributing to the easygoing vibe.
The breakfast burrito game in Los Angeles is no joke—it's a competitive arena. This one steps up to the plate and holds its place. Their take is semi-indulgent but doesn't cross into the territory of excess. The scrambled eggs are fluffy, the cheddar sauce adds creamy richness, the HiLi hot sauce brings that subtle heat and the labneh adds an element that lightens things up just enough.
The li'l chicky sando is thoughtfully crafted, with its tempura-fried chicken breast complemented by the zesty labneh and minty slaw. The pickled red onions are a nice compliment. As for the chicken strips and fries they deliver exactly what you'd expect: juicy chicken served with a trio of dipping sauces: hot honey, minty yogurt dressing, and yuzu aioli. It’s comfort food—ideal when you're in the mood for something straightforward.
The selection of salads here is diverse. The kale salad is a fresh and hearty mix with miso lime dressing and frizzled onions, which lend to a forgettable crunch. The fattoushy salad with chicken is a somewhat flavorful composition where chickpeas, dried tart cherries, crispy pita, and pomegranate molasses come together. The aptly named simple side is minimal but done right with fresh greens tossed in a yuzu vinaigrette. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal, the ambiance and fresh menu offerings make it a decent choice.
Good weekend spot to hang out in. The matcha lattes and hibiscus tea is good. They have an interesting blend of dishes - would recommend the Kyoto bowl (comforting porridge with good texture contrast from the kale and crispy rice).
We found a table really easily every time we’ve been here and their outdoor seating is shaded.
They only have wifi on the weekdays so it’s hard to do most laptop work during weekends. Good place to lounge and read, though.
There was an annoying angry white man working behind the bar that kept staring at me like he knew me
I had been here three times and finally had the chance to leave a review to have an authentic experience and real reviews.
Parking: limited and meter in the front, but you can find more in the neighborhood, and it's free.
Atmosphere: busy and crowded at all times, chic style, beautiful decorations with plants, and open space with some nature lights in the ceiling.
Seatings: in and outside with plenty of them, but it might be a challenge during peak hours which is all the time. I came here at different times of the date, weekdays, and weekends, but it's the same.
Foods: 7.8/10
Based on my observations: it seems as if many people in the film/music industry come here; it could be wrong, but it makes this place unique because of that clientele.
Always experience the friendly and welcoming of the cashier, but a bitter taste of the people who make coffee. They seem argggh, do not talk to me kind of feeling.
wifi is available during the week, not on the weekend. Get ready for that!
Hard to call it a hidden gem—but a gem it is! I was looking for a spot to work for a few hours and decided to try Highly Likely. I arrived early enough to have my pick of seats, but within 30 minutes most were filled and a line was forming. By lunchtime, every seat was taken and the line stretched out the door.
It’s easy to see why: the food is both incredible and beautiful, the coffee and tea are spot-on, and the menu has plenty of tempting options (I didn’t even get to peek at the pastries!). The staff moved quickly to bus tables and keep things flowing, all while being genuinely friendly.
The crowd felt like the neighborhood itself—diverse, lively, and full of character. Friends catching up, a working mom on a call with her son in tow, locals dropping in for their morning cup. I also love that laptops are welcome during the day but put away after 5pm to make room for the dinner crowd (with wine!).
Can’t wait to come back.
Great stuff! Veggie burger was very tasty, and served with a side of pickled carrots, loved it! Gold Cobra was a nice way to toss on some flavor without a caffeine crash later. This is mostly a laptop cafe, highly recommended if you need wifi and some lunch!!
I love working out of this cafe, the food is great and ambiance is productive. However, my most recent visit was unpleasant. I ordered an ice matcha with whole milk that tasted sour. I told myself not to be rude so I sipped it slowly only to finally convince myself to return it. I asked for a drip coffee (a safe choice). I sat and worked on a table that was facing the barista. I saw how the milk was left unrefrigerated the entire 4 hours that I was there. I order whole milk because I rather have animal fat than processed seed oils (in oat or almond milk). They don’t have soy milk (my milk of preference). Anyway, unrefrigerated plant-milk is probably okay, but whole milk should not be left out for more than two hours. The gross taste of the spoiled milk stayed in my mouth for the rest of the day. I’ll probably stick to drip coffee when I go back.
Very disappointing move—they turn off their wifi during the weekend now.
I loved coming here to work, for some people the only time they can go to a coffee shop and work is during the weekend. Both locations have been my go to for this. I really hope you guys decide to revert this decision, it really alienates you from loyal customers.
Piece of art! The food is so delicious and good looking. Great ambiance and crowd. Has outdoor and indoor option and great wifi!
I am visiting from out of town and was recommended this place by two different people as a great remote working space. I arrived, ordered a coffee and looked around for an outlet to plug my computer in and get to work when I was told that they do not have any outlets anywhere for any guests to use. I gave them three stars because while the guy who took my order was very nice and trying to figure out a way I could stay to work, a woman came up behind him and was very rude about the fact that they are a no outlet spot. Also... three stars because I feel like coffee shops have turned into working spaces and to not have a outlet for guests is wild. Cortada was fine..
Hipster hangout with beautiful outdoor space and customers drinking up the wifi. Tuna melt arrived cold with the tepid melted cheese. Mushrooms were so burnt and cold we requested a new order. Staff was friendly about it but the kitchen doesn’t care one whit how the food tastes or its temperature. Highly Unlikely I will return
I was told this was a great place to get some work done, but there’s not a single outlet you can use to plug your laptop in. Coffee shop looks nice, but so do a lot of other coffee shops in the area with at least one or two outlets.
Ok, so I've been going here on and off for a year, and I feel like I finally have enough info to review.
Why is this place so hit or miss?
One day the food is good, and the next day the same item is bland. There doesn't seem to be any standard of execution.
PHONES. Why are phones allowed on the floor? On top of it being rude for someone at the register to finish their text while standing in line, it's also very unsanitary. Today I spent 2.5 hours there (my veggie burger was burnt, so reordered a falafel plate), and I watched the barista make a drink, pull out phone, make a drink, pull out phone over and over, and I never once saw her wash her hands. This same gal was usually always at the register the other times Ive been there, on her phone in between
every order. The guy working coffee before her at least washed his hands whenever he went off station and returned. The manager could see all of today's Instagramming, but never once told anyone to stow their phone, not even during the lunch rush; dirty tables multiplying as pre-rush left and lunch diners are lining up, but phones are more important I guess.
The place could use a polishing. They've recently redone the exterior, which looks great, but WHY do so many places with expensive food and drink allow the interior to look worse and worse as time goes on? Tables and chairs with dirty legs, scuffs everywhere, cabinets delaminating and with failing hardware, boxes of product [always] stacked in bathroom hallway, dogs allowed in even though they have a big, brand new sign about no pets except service animals...oh, and that barista gal rolling clean silverware in between checking her phone, not once washing her hands. Gross.
We can talk s about employees all day, but anyone who knows anything about restaurants knows that the blame goes UP. Management is ultimately to blame for poor behavior, hit-or-miss food/drink, and cleanliness, organization, or maintenance issues.
I watched today's manager spill orange juice on herself while making a mimosa. She stopped to clean herself off, clothes then a boot, then the floor, and went back to making the drink and opening a new bottle of champagne *without ever washing her hands*. At least she didn't take the cap from the floor and put it back on the jug, but maybe cover it with *something* before you put it back into the fridge?
It's like a script: a new, hip spot opens, clean and bright, looks/tastes great. Then the owners start making big bucks, and everything goes to shit because they lose sight of how they were making it in the first place: the employees (and a clean and maintained restaurant). If management doesn't properly train and hold standards, you end up with yet another high-priced but shitty-looking place to eat with hit or miss food and drink, where 98% of the employees are either so exasperated from not being heard by mgmt or completely lost because they have no idea what to do between customers besides look at their phone because they weren't properly trained.
Also: how are tips split up? I'll happily tip an employee who gives a shit, but if it's divvied up between everyone, then it kind of sucks that the person who cares has to split it with others who may not.
There was an employee who was kicking butt, though- they had dirty blonde/shaggy bleached hair with a few tats (took my order kindly and professionally, no phone in sight). They were jumping from station to station, filling in and getting things done, washing their hands in between duties and staying off of their phone. That's how it's done.
Oh, and the music is always good (but sometimes a bit loud, even for a music freak like me).
Look: there *are* cool people who work here, no doubt! I like being in a place where you can tell the employees like each other. But a cool person doesn't always equate to being a good manager or employee. That is taught and learned... and then you have a cool employee who is fun to work with *and* gets things done (with clean hands).
All said with love. But management better get with it.
The location is great, on a large street without a lot of traffic on the weekends. Cute outdoor seating and the space inside is pretty large with lots of seating options. Gets pretty busy starting 9-10am on Sunday with an interesting crowd. Coffee comes with free refills. I like that the inside doesn't smell like burnt food and that the space has high ceilings. Love the decor and lives plants. wifi only available on weekdays. They have beer and wine - don't see hard liquor.
This place is a decent study spot during the week, HOWEVER, it will be a hit or miss on whether you can get a seat/table inside. There is also no wifi during the weekends which makes it a no go if you’re tryna get work done then. Drinks are pricey and average for La. Just a solid cafe with good food options (which I haven’t tried but I’ve heard good things about), nothing more to say.
This place is great for a coffee and remote working session. I wouldn’t recommend this as a brunch pick with friends. The food is rather mid- and falls in the “I could make this at home, but better” category.
Very cool place. A little bit expensive, but very cool. wifi was fast, bathrooms were clean, and there was a lot of seating. When they are open, the whole front wall opens up to the street, which gives the cafe a nice, open feel to it. I also like that they don't blast music super loud, which would overpower conversations and be too distracting if you are working/studying.
Very cool vibe in this place. Open space and productivity oriented environment attracts entrepreneurs and students. They have wifi and comfortable couches+tables to do work at. They also have small tables and outdoor benches if you're looking to catch up with a friend.
I got the horchata latte and it does not disappoint! I got a burger and it seemed hastily made but delicious nonetheless.
Food: 6/10
Drink: 7/10
Environment: 9/10
Staff: 6/10
First time in Los Angeles and searched up top coffee spots and this came up looked promising but did it disappoint girl wearing a mask at the register was not helpful at all and when I asked for wifi they said not on the weekends since it gets busy even though it was dead like allowing me to connected would’ve been nice but no and when I asked if they could let me they still denied the coffee is whatever and the food pretty good and pastries looked great too but note to the owners reading this your staff should be more understanding and more hospitable since you are serving people but that’s just my opinion
Very nice cafe with fantastic food. Has free wifi and space to get some work done. Pet friendly as well. Parking is a hit or miss as there are free streets to park on and may need to walk a few minutes. The hospitality from the staff could have been more friendly and inviting.
First off:
Plenty of chairs and tables, outlets on below benches against the walls of the cafe. Very chic/modern decor and ambiance. Parking is street parking no meters and pretty easy. wifi available. Good place to study HOWEVER I will say the noise level is too loud to just study on its own. You definitely need headphones to really concentrate because the music can be distracting. Items are a tad expensive e.g. Chai latte 5.50 but I enjoyed this location and will return.the food looks delicious but didnt try. I honestly thought because it had an exotic bird it was maybe hispanic owned but I don't think it is which is okay just a suprise.
I wish I could be writing a better review but I have to post something that was a bit odd today. This place is down the street where I work and I wanted to give it a try. I order the Highly Burger with an Horchata Iced coffee and the food was GREAT. The customer service on the hand was awful. The parking to pick up is really bad I had to park on a side street. There was one guy working at the counter making the coffee and I told him I"m here to pick up my order and he said I'll be right with you. Again, it's my first time here and I don't know the procedures for Covid-19 since nobody was really directing traffic. Another employee came out we will just call her (Green Eyes). I notice there were bags of food on the left side of the café I wasn't sure if they were like Panera and just pick it up. I told Green eyes if I could just pick it up and she said wait i'll help you right now. I asked her do I need to wait outside. Green eyes didn't say anything so I assume I'll just wait right were I was at. She asked for my order number and I gave it to her and she picks up the bag and iced coffee walk passed me and sit it on the table outside. She told me because of Covid-19 we ask customer to stay outside. Again, this is my first time here and nobody at the door to direct traffic anyways. I wasn't sure if the order was mine or the 2 ladies waiting outside already ? ? I told her it was kind of stupid to just walk past me and not give me the order ? She just ignore me and the 2 ladies were asking her questions. The Food is a 5 STAR but the customer service was 2-3 at best. I'll be coming back but hopefully Green Eyes isn't the one helping.
I recently started working in the area and have been coming here on a regular. Everything is always beyond fresh, the side of fruit tasted and looked like it was just cut up. Wasn't sitting in a bowl mixed for days. If you're in the area, definitely worth a stop.
Great ambiance! And I love the deviled eggs! I look forward to coming back and enjoying meeting up with friends and working solo.
Everything is delicious. Great vibes. Lots of folks working and chatting and enjoying yummy stuff. Also the location where Mitch the advice-giving Barista from Barry was shot.
Amazing vibe here. Really neat space, amazing food and drinks and a very nice and accommodating staff! Important caveat though, they don’t offer free wifi on the weekends!
I’m on the search for the perfect remote work “office” and I may have found the one. Great wifi, strong outlet game, comfy seats, bright and sunny, lovely design.
The chicken strips are bomb and they do in fact come with fries, shout out to the guy working the counter that saved me from myself when I tried to order extra fries accidentally!
The atmosphere and design of the space is lovely. The co-working energy of people busy on their computers was lively. Highly likely to never go back for the burrito. It was too creamy/saucy and I did not prefer the flavor. The bacon was European style cooked, not crispy. Just overall not a fan. But I’ve had the chicken tenders and Kyoto bowl that were rich and yummy in the past. So maybe just not a great burrito day.
