Awesome place to laptop and work for a while
great place to work at. nice drinks and very friendly staff. wifi was spotty at times but other than that 100% recommended
there are multiple rooms to sit at and a quieter one in the far back in case you need to take some calls
This place is a hit or miss depends on the barista working
I was viewing an apartment down the street and really needed to use the restroom and a cup of coffee sounded nice, so I stopped by Jackalope. And I was pleasantly surprised by the whole vibe and aesthetic of the place. It reminded me of when I lived in Austin, TX or Portland, OR. People of all types were hanging out and enjoying their morning. I asked about the area and the folks working there were extremely friendly and informative. I really hope we get the apartment in the area. The Jackalope felt like one of those truly neighborhood places that people come to meet and congregate. I hope to return soon and often.
I came in on Wednesday September 4, there was no customers in line and I was excited to try this coffee shop due to the good reviews. I said Good morning and the two girls inside said nothing, I felt like they wanted to just get straight to the point. I ordered the Dirty Horchata Latte and Centaur Sandwich and when I finished I went to put the tray in the Dirty Dishes area, thanked them and they just looked at me with no response. Good Coffee, Good Sandwich, Bad Service from the two employees working at the time.
When I moved to Bridgeport 5 years ago, I found and fell in love with Jackalope. I loved the art, the environment, the menu, and it made me feel like I was part of the neighborhood. I would do my schoolwork, write poems and relax there. It became my comfort place and when I was having a rough day I would order from here to feel better. Last year I placed a larger order for many sandwiches. I was excited to get nutritious and delicious food and drinks for everyone. However, when the order arrived, the sandwiches were not what we were expecting portion-wise, having ordered from there so many times before. I called to discuss what had happened instead the owner was extremely disrespectful and mean even though I was polite and wanted to genuinely discuss what happened. She dismissed and completely disregarded my feelings immediately. I was completely shocked and heartbroken. I understand that working customer service during the holidays is very difficult and exhausting, but there was no need for the owner to react that way over a genuine issue with the order. Further attempts to speak to the owner resulted in them continuing to be rude and disrespectful. The employees of Jackalope are all very kind and have always been amazing people, however, their boss the owner ironically is not the same.
Cool cafe, fun theme and the seasonal Mayan Mocha drink I had was great. Good balance of sweet and spice. Free wifi
Food is delicious! Atmosphere is super cool! Just started working in this area and have been struggling to find good lunch options... I finally found this amazing spot. Highly recommend! (: will be going back for sure!
Probably the best coffee in the area. I didn't really know what I want, but the girl behind the counter helped me choose a non-coffee coffee and a snack. Yes, that's an unusual order :) she got me the horchata frappe which is super delicious, I was only upset cos I didn't get to finish it. It isn't on the menu but you can ask for it and they give it to you. I did try the bacon donut but i didn't like it as much, i think i was expecting the bacon to be crunchy. The maple on it was delicious though. I would come back here when I'm in the neighborhood. I will say the service in here is a little slow since they only have two people working mostly. I do love the decor and it's the funkiest little coffee shop in the area. They also have a couple of chairs outside the place to sit when it's summer.
Came here looking for one of their tasty pizza bagels, only to find out they don't make them anymore and the employee I talked too thought they never made them. Granted the last time I stopped by was before this pandemic stuff but I remember the delicious pizza bagels being very popular and you were lucky to find one for sale when you came as they were very popular. I hope they bring it back, maybe talk to some employees who've been working there longer or long time regular customers.
This is a good coffee shop to sit and do some work at. They have decent coffee and good breakfast sandwiches which are unique. The workers have always been hard-working and friendly to me. Very chill atmosphere.
Great cafe hidden in the neighborhood of Bridgeport. They have great selection of loose leaf teas and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They offer wifi and ample seating, very comfortable place to get some work done or read a book.
Foods o.k. But the staff has a bad attitude. Pro tip - Dont work in the food industry/ deal w/ customers if you’re going to act bothered to answer customers’ questions. A.k.a - your Job ... The irony of thinking you are too cool for school working for minimum wage at the local coffee shop. Hint: Its not cool! Get over yourself, you’re barely 20!? 😎 😂
Food AND drinks are good. great wifi. Only CON is that sometimes they play the music WAY too loud like its a lounge instead of a coffee shop.
Music is awful and a little too loud for my taste, but I got through with my workday. I didn't order any food. Free wifi.
Great and healthy food. Fresh loose-leaf teas, coffees, and magical nutritionists delights. Fun, eclectic atmosphere. Free High Speed wifi
I love this place. It's great for groups or just to be alone. They have books and wifi. Fantastic coffee, fantastic environment.
Usually pretty good depends who’s working and making the sandwich’s and drinks bc they do have those bad days but I’d go again!
If you visit Bridgeport and want good coffee, free wifi and a nice hip crowd, possibly a quick sandwich or 🍩, well this is the spot.
Fun interior, superb service, great sandwiches. A good spot to grab lunch and work from your laptop.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great selection of sandwiches and drinks. wifi available.
Healthy and delicious food, copious coffee and a comfortable place to spend an afternoon working
Wow! This is truly a unique place! A setting unlike any other. Photos can show it better, but it looks like a movie set with all sorts of colorful props. They even sell merchandise. It's a series of three buildings, and each room looks different. Many people work on their laptops, but homework is also done here. The coffee and sandwiches are truly delicious and healthier than the standard sandwiches you can get here. You'll rarely find goat cheese here. There's also plenty of seating outside.
