Makarios Café

I learned about the cafe from a friend and decided to try it today. Sadly this would be my first and last time in this cafe because apparently they have started serving pork recently 🥲

Anyway, really love the interior. My spot was very comfortable for working. The coffee was just right for me. Wished I have found this gem earlier...

Perfect place to do work! They have wifi and outlets and tables by the window, really aesthetically pleasing. Their beef burrito is good. Drinks, especially for honey lemon (which I ordered) is a bit overpriced given the small cup size. Overall quite good, I enjoyed doing my work here 🥰

Visites to this place on Sunday 21/04/2024. And marked this day as the worst day for Makarios as there were short handed, all working staffs are new, the kitchen crew are not in order. But the food is tasty. If U can endure the waiting time can have a try else, better eat at somewhere

A good place for meeting and do your personal things alone.

Things I like:
1. Wide variety of food selection
2. Three different vibes in one cafe
3. Friendly staff
4. Plenty of the snack to choose from to go with your drinks
5. Plenty of books to carter for different age groups (in-store reading, some are religious books, fictions, children storybooks etc)
6. Plenty of socket points and wifi are available upon asking
7. There's good amount of real plants for decoration.

Things for improvement:
1. The location is a bit difficult to find. Hence, I provided two landmark pictures for easy identification (pic 1: next to Classic Pool, pic 2: the shop is directly opposite MRC (Pusat Perkembangan Minda Riang)
2. Please tone down the saltiness of the doenjang soup. It's too overwhelming to my preference.
3. Some of the tall chairs near the window are not in good condition.

what's weird is that the staff seemed to be forced to speak english, like i know im not foreigner, the staffs probably arent because they understood me, why are pretending it is difficult to use our mother tongue?

and also, this is definitely the first cafe i have been to that serves your meal to the table but not the cutlery. you are required to get up and get your cutlery from the counter.

otherwise, good place, good wifi, good vibes, bad management 😃

Better I share some landmarks so it could be useful for some of you to find. Worth to visit, it’s quite in the morning to do some works with your laptop, not crowded, with a cup sichuan flavoured latte and a slice of tiramisu, voila

Liking the atmosphere, suitable for reading, working, studying because it is cozy and quiet enough

Quiet location, very good wifi and very good coffee
