Delicious food and drinks and clean environment, wifi lasts only 2 hours tho
Lovely space and design, it looks like a modern cafeteria and lots of space to study. Though they do limit your time to just 2 hours on their wifi. Would recommend getting their sandwich and doing some work while drinking a coffee.
Got the egg sando sandwich which was nice though some sauce would have really given it more flavor.
Good place to work a bit from. Food was nice and drinks too
Great good and atmosphere, decent wifi as well
Will come back again!
Ambience 💯 very industrial and edgy, dark and bright at the same time. Dark enough that’s laptop friendly 💻 , bright enough that you get sky view from skylights ☀️
Ordered an iced matcha latte 🍵 to start the day fresh, wish it could be bitter but good enough. 4.5/5
I had katsu curry for lunch, the skin is a bit overcooked and feel heavy but the inside meat very juicy and tender. I was hoping more curry in the bowl. And the bowl has a chip at the edge that’s actually dangerous for the hands. 4/5
Background music might be a bit loud in the morning, some rock music was playing, I guess they want it to feel more hippy. But it can get even louder when more people come in later in the afternoon.
There’s outdoor patio to sit but limited seats available.
2hr max wifi connection per user per day.
Overall a good place to take a break or having a sprint work/study session.
Very friendly staff.
Will come back again to try out the sando.
Total spending + tip: $27
Overall 5/5
Love the vibe of this place. Great not boring lunch menu, quality coffee and teas. In case you are planning on working or studying there: power sockets, cozy common tables and 3hrs wifi limit.
Very interesting cafe with good music & records, as well as Hi-Fi speakers/dj booth. Nice place to work remotely.
The best place to work on you laptop, have lunch, and hear GREAT tunes...
Great food, service and atmosphere. Perfect place to hang out or work on laptop.
Perfect, cool lunch spot. Or for a quick work/study session (avoid busy lunchtime though). And coffee is great. Vibrant.
Great café for meeting up with people or working
Trendy crowd with amazing authentic asian food and a nice vibe. Love working there on my laptop.
The cafe gives out good vibes and energy and credit goes to the crew working there. The atmosphere is very lively and such a welcoming place where you can sit eat work and relax at the same time.
Food is delicious. Matcha lattes also awesome. Energetic and noisy vibe. Good to work from if you want to be around lots of people. Too noisy to take calls from.
Fantastic vibe. Good coffee. Great food. Perfect place to work or read
A bit too loud if you want to work from here but otherwise the vibes are unmatched
For the past few months this place had become my headquarters for having language classes whilst having amazing food. I usually go on Sundays, from 11am to 1pm.
But because this place gets so crowded, recently, they added "no laptops" tables to make sure to make space for eating clients. This has transformed the duties of the waiters into having to police table usage and to make sure that everyone is spending enough money. This is reasonable: it is hard for any business to run on customers spending only $ 5 to stay a whole day at a table.
The staff can understandably feel stressed/overwhelmed by the amount of customers they have had. They've been good at being courteous.
However, today my friend had a laptop in the no-laptop zone. A waiter came to tell her to close it. She said ok and then proceeded to transfer her files so that she could read her lesson on her phone. She needed 5 minutes to do it before closing her laptop. The staff said "I'm asking respectfully to close it now or to leave". My friend got upset that she couldn't have 5 minutes and argued that there was nothing respectful in what he had just said. You can imagine the scene. We were asked to leave.
To put into context, we spend no more than 2 hours and spend $60-$70 in food and drinks (coffee, breakfast and lunch). We understood their no laptop policy and why it is there. We were disappointed that the staff was following rigid rules rather than being understanding.
Terrible staff, will not let you stay in peace even if you bought food due to really strict rules concerning laptops.
In addition to that they will try to kick u out if you came alone because they see it as a waste of money if u sit at a 2 person table alone.
This place has great music and is good for studying, but who thought magnetic tables was a good idea???? They literally broke my laptop. Please change the tables 😭
Good vibe, great food, the LP shop and music selection playing is unmatched. Only problem is all the people on laptops making it impossible to enjoy lunch.
Savory quick meals and ideal spot for students to work on their laptops. The sandwiches were delicious (especially the shrimp one!) The egg sandwich was on the heavier side. The miso soup was slightly too salty, but the curry dish was perfection. I do not recommend going with young children because there are no high chairs available (there's even a decibel meter measuring the level of noise). Not the most family-friendly spot but yummy nonetheless.
Chilled Japanese cafe in a polished concrete bunker with a green roof in a stellar location tucked away from the street. The coffee is top notch and food is tasty. You will enjoy the vinyls spinning tunes all day, in summer there is outdoor seating. Can work from laptops with charging stations. Prices are decent and there is a large amount of seating. A green roof and gorgeous hanging plants really soften the space. You can buy Japanese whiskey too from the little concession store.
A great daytime experience on the Osmo X Marusan backyard/terrace.
A nice, quiet (if you don't count the groups of brawling sparrows), private backyard terrace, surrounded by buildings from all sides. Plenty of tables, for you to be able to bring your laptop and
do some work, while munching on the variety of their dishes and sipping on their coffees.
On the menu:
• Katsu curry (Breaded pork, rice, picked vegetables)
• Tamago Sando (Organic fried egg, Mornay sauce, smoked salmon)
• Croissant
Drinks:
• Oat latte
• Hojicha latte (With white chocolate)
• Osmo Fog
A generous portion of fresh, flavourful (non spicy, with ground meat) curry, fluffy rice, lightly marinaded veggies and a crispy, breaded pork, serve as a perfect breakfast or a brunch dish.
The Tamago Sando just melts in your mouth. Fluffy bread, generous portion of Mornay sauce, crispy, fried egg layer on the outside, and a soft, creamy yolk on the inside. Added smoked salmon (extra) for a bit of smokiness and saltiness to the whole experience.
Finished off the meal with a fresh, crispy croissant and an array of their coffees.
The oat latte is balanced and not overpowering. The Hojicha latte is a perfect combination of Hojicha bitterness and white chocolate sweetness. The Osmo fog is light, flavourful and has just the right amount of bergamot.
A few more items to try from their menu, so will definitely be back for more during this summer.
