Palatium Cafe and Restaurant

Best authentic place to eat and relax near Hagia Sophia. Restaurant is build on top of Constantinople Palace excavation site, so make sure you visit this afterwards, entrance is in the backyard and it is free of charge. You can also look at the antient walls trough the glass floor while dining on top. Guys who are working here are pleasent and relaxed, not pushy at all like in the nearby places. Highly recommend.

Fantastic!!!! We spent 8 nights in Istanbul and visited this restaurant a number of times. First...everyone working in this restaurant is extremely friendly and that makes it comfortable for anyone, including tourists. Second...the food is spectacular, really, really good. Third...it isnt super expensive. So, if you are visiting Istanbul and looking for good food, great service and don't want to spend a fortune, this is the place. It is fantastic!!!

Good service, great price for the neighbourhood, and excellent food!! Restaurant has a very nice ambiance and the staff is working overtime to keep customers happy. Highly recommended for tourists!

Locale molto carino, tranquillo, con comode sedute tra cui divanetti e poltroncine. Possibilità anche di un terrazzo. wifi incluso. Cibo buono con prezzi in linea rispetto a quelli di altri locali. Camerieri gentili anche se non troppo solerti (ma meglio che non in altri locali in cui si viene serviti dopo 2 minuti netti). Possibilità di scelte vegetariane. Se si paga cash si ha lo sconto. Parcheggio non disponibile in loco proprio per la posizione centrale.

Great beautiful cosy place in a perfect spot. Food was delicious, and service even better. Great positive people working there. Definitely I recomend to wisit. If you go there you will discover incredible history under the cafe/restaurant.

Very good Turkish food. But what is more important there is no aggressive marketing outside and inside. The service is just like you expect appearing only when you need them. No extra special offers or hidden positions on the bill. You can pay credit cards. Waiter can speak English. They can recommend dishes only when you ask for it. Prices the same as in the other places. Oh and very unusual seats. You feel like a Turk. Free wifi

a wonderful, western-type of cafe in the middle of the old city. it has a slightly modern feel but with twists of local charm and heritage. part of the cafe is build on some kind of tomb/ruins with a glass floor which is great. the turkish coffee was delicious. the wifi is free. it's just off the touristy street next to a hostel so the crowd is fun and eclectic. a great place to rest and have a coffee after a long day of sightseeing!

Price is good. wifi not bad. Food was ok.
