Great food, amazing coffee, very friendly staff, a great place to chill or work. The only thing missing? A wifi connection ;)
Nice coffee! Just a place to drink & eat. Unfortunately the wifi does not work, so not really a (quiet) place to work with your laptop (which I saw on the internet, when searching for workplaces).
It’s a cute cafe with a cosy atmosphere. I went there on a weekday in the morning and there were a few people with their laptops out and I had my laptop as well but was surprised to discover that there’s no wifi. It’s one of those places where phone reception is not great either so I couldn’t use my hotspot. I wouldn’t come here again if I was planning to use my laptop. Also, I ordered a green tea which was £3.5 and it came in a small teacup rather than a pot - I thought that was quite unreasonable. My usual cafe is a high end cafe in South Kensington and I pay £2.75 for a pot of tea.
Great coffee and eggs benny with bacon was delicious. They had no issues with me sitting there for 90ish minutes on my laptop. Only downside is there’s no wifi!
worked from this place for a few hours in between meetings in town, googled “good coffee shop to work from”, Prufrock came up and this place is great for just that!
Was busy with other laptop-ers when I arrived around lunchtime, but I managed to find a booth at the back, with no complaints of it being just me on a 2/4 person table from the staff.
Really good coffee, eggs benedict with big slabs of gravlax was delicious, add to that a few cups of tea, it all came to a clean £20. Thought that was good for central London! And I’ve lived here for over 10 years!
Staff were attentive, very polite and not at all intrusive - I didn’t feel like I HAD to keep buying more to stay working there, which means so much to someone as socially anxious as me! Lovely to see that they don’t rush people out either, when they come to close at 4.30 - stay open an hour later, reckon you’d get the customers!!
Only small complaint was that it got quite cold having both front doors open - had to put my coat on while working in the last hour, which I could see lots of other customers doing too. Not worth docking a point off for though.
Oh and it’s got good wifi!!
Would come back, would recommend as a good independent coffee shop to meet friends in or work from.
Popped to London for an event and came here to work on my laptop - mocha was lovely and the staff were so kind and attentive! Very comfy, laptop friendly place to work
Great venue, coffee and table service. However they don’t have wifi?! Which is not great when you’ve researched a place to work when in London and this comes up on several website as a place for remote working(!) very disappointed.
Really adorable coffee shop with sit down service. Great lattes. Postcard teas available. Breakfast was delicious and the wifi was free.
I had a coffee which for a self proclaimed coffee snob, says a lot! It could have been slightly hotter though. The vibes were so nice, very attentive and friendly service.
They also allow laptops for working. The food was also really good!
I visited today and was so impressed. The staff are lovely and attentive. Food and coffee were also excellent. They let me work on my laptop undisturbed for 2.5 hours but I think I could have stayed longer if I wanted. Will definitely return!
Lovely soup and coffee and great place to work for a couple of hours
Coffee and food lovely but NOT laptop friendly as is suggested on a few London blogs
Coffee here is SO good. Lovely cafe atmosphere and service. laptop friendly too.
Good coffee shop, spacious inside and easy to met up or good space to work
Love this place! Such a great bunch working here, really friendly and helpful. The scrambled eggs on toast was delicious and the perfect portion! Can’t wait to go back.
