Ok this place has the best treats in all of Europe!
As soon as I walked in the door the first thing I saw was these cherry cheesecake streudels and I had to have one.. except that right next to them were these chocolate croissant pastry with a white glaze. So I got both. Both were amazing, and both were better than anything else I've ever had in Europe.
The cafe is cute and on a tiny little walkway alongside of an old church.
You can use cash or credit, with tap or chip, and they have wifi. I just want to sit here eating, drinking, and taking pictures in the shade all day long. Love it,
Great coffee and pastries. Comfortable place to hang out with free wifi
Good place door coffee and excellent wifi 🍵
(likely) The worst (and racist) cafe in Tallinn
Ordered my food but was told to leave because I was using my laptop (1st Jan 2025):
On Jan 1 2025 (about 13.30) I visited this cafe. A fellow customer asked me to leave my table (where i was working on my laptop). There were other free tables where the customer could have sat but still chose to sit next to me. I moved because I wanted to avoid altercation and finnish my work. The customer seemed to still be bothered and started arguing why it is not okay to use laptop in cafe. I am a person of colour and normally I see people working in cafes (which is normal in the nordics) so I perceive this as blunt racism.
The owner of this cafe, instead of telling the other person was wrong, then asked me to leave the place (I had quietly moved to another table was still eating my food and )
Overall the experience seems strange. I would like to know if other customers experienced similar racism from this owner?
I bought a latte and paid for it. 5 minutes later, the guy brought me an Americano. I didn't want it and he took it back. When I asked him 10 minutes later, he talked nonsense. He said he wouldn't give it to me, so I explained that I wanted what I paid for. Luckily, the girls working there were kind and brought my coffee. It was an unnecessary approach.
