All the people working here are so nice and the coffee is amazing and the desserts are so delicious :)
This place has a wonderful selection of brunch, drinks and even gluten-free/lactose free desserts. I had the gluten-free almond cake which wasn’t too dry. Paired perfectly with a cafe con leche. I want to come back to try the gluten free cheesecake. Service was quick and very friendly. Also wifi available.
Beautiful people are working in this place!! Really nice food and coffee!! The perfect start for your day!!!!
One of the best places for breakfast . Incredibly nutritious food. The staff is friendly and serves the food quite quickly. As a coffee enthusiast and barista, I can say I've tried one of the best coffees in Spain. Good prices and fresh, high-quality food/coffee. They serve the water after coffee, which is not that common, but so useful. Thanks everyone who is working here. Gonna come back next time when I travel to Spain again.
Лучший кофе, что я пробовал в Испании. Лучший завтрак с очень вкусной едой. Крайне рекомендую!
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and easy to work from here with my laptop. Juan is super friendly and attentive. Will be coming back for sure
I can’t really tell about the food since we didn’t order, but people working here are so nice and willing to help.
Good option to stop by taking some coffee break if you are around!
Love this coffee shop. Excellent coffee and they have a number of GF cakes - which is a rarity in Spain! There are no seats inside, but there are plenty of tables outside with an awning and they don't seem to mind if you use a laptop! Though after 12noon the sun might make that difficult to do. Highly recommended
A really lovely cafe. Very relaxed atmosphere, food was tasty and quick and everyone working was so kind. Will visit again!
I arrived at opening time on a Sunday. They have menus with pricing available on the tables and near the bar which are cleverly available before they open. Order at the bar and then take a seat. They will bring your order to you. It was busy right away but the staff worked fast and kindly. Today I had the Sagrada Brunch with a Colombian cafe. Everything was delicious. Can’t recommend enough! The staff are attentive and hard working and the food and drink speak for themselves. I’ve been here many times and they are always fantastic, if a little expensive.
Very good place to have lunch Ordered frappe and expresso. Also carrot cake. Perfect and awesome wifi.
The brunch is delicicous❤️ the service is very good people working here are nice ❤️ i highly recommand🥰
great coffee and food options - I had an espresso and croissant sandwich. I sat outside and did work on my laptop and the atmosphere was fine. The staff is very friendly too
Very chill vibe, good wifi, and delicious coffee
Many options of coffee, I had Americano and I liked it. Breakfast was also good, I had scrambled eggs toast which I definitely recommend. They serve it super fast and everyone working here is very friendly. The other day I had cold brew coffee to-go and it was one of the best ice coffee I ever had. Will definitely repeat!
Everyone working was really kind to me, even with my poor Spanish. I will be eternally grateful for this ham & cheese croissant that has given the strength to explore the city.
Delicious coffee and desert, very helpful and lovely service, and added plus that they have wifi
I can tolerate everything and understand that any person could spill orange juice on the guest. But their waiter did it on my white new skirt, didn’t even say sorry , didn’t clean the sticky juice table or helped me. And continued working as nothing happened.
Another update 2024
Back to 5 stars from 2
Santa has sorted their old issues out. Good work. They have enough staff now and have also opened a credit card only kiosk which is for take out only. I usually go there as the service is normally quicker. But unless you arrive at peak times you will be served swiftly enough.
A fair bit of staff turnover but they are still pretty efficient.
They do food here too and it's worth a try. Sandwiches/bocadillos only until 1230 I think. The rest of the menu all day.
2023
Ok I have edited my review to update the situation...
I still go here virtually every day and know all the people working there and appreciate them all. They're nice people if a little overwhelmed sometimes. The coffee is great too.
But Santa needs a new system for people/regulars who just want a quick coffee or 2.
I have walked out twice in the past 2 weeks as I was just stuck in a queue behind tourists who didn't even look at the menu and spent hours ordering a million things and asking questions about everything. And I was only 1 place away from being served! I still walked out.
Santa needs a quick coffee window to serve single/double coffee orders faster. I bet a lot of people just don't bother queueing and go somewhere else. I'd suggest Next Level across Alameda... Also great coffee and people.
3 stars now instead of 5 (sorry)
Original review...
I have tried the coffee at most places in the area, several times. I'm a bit of a coffee junkie. Santa canela makes the best coffee in in Soho, that's for sure. I tried a double espresso capuccino Brazil blend today and by far that was the best I've had there. I had tried other blends before. They have 3 I think. Which were also good. The Brazil was intense and not bitter. Lovely.
If you are close to the thyssen museum then I'd go to Mia cafe. Also great coffee. My two go-to places for coffee.
When in soho I go to cafe Atenas opposite santa canela for the cheapest and tastiest bocadillos made with good quality ingredients. Manchego cheese, nice bacon, etc. And only 1.50 or thereabouts. Ask for Miguel or Pepe. They also do homemade paella that is available from 2pm on the dot every Friday only.
Not tried that yet but it sells out fast.
The other cafe on the other corner I'd avoid for coffee. Had it 5 times now and always bitter and unacceptable. It does some great sandwiches too though. But I prefer to sit in the sun at bar atenas. And the owner is less grumpy.

Great place tons of seating. Only comment- wish they have wifi but everything was perfect.
Well, I was there twice in order to drink specialty coffee.
Unfortunately, the coffee was over extracted, I drank three bitter and astringent expressos, it was impossible to distinguish the different origin.
Also, I think they have roasted the beans in a spanish way... dark, I felt rubber and earthy flavours.
But with all the equipment they have, I am sure it will be better in the future. So I encourage them to keep on working.
Tourist trap. Ridiculous prices and inconsistent food quality. There are better places in Malaga where you can spend less.
Good attention from the staff working there.
I’m an SCA certified Barista in London. I usually like this place when Mario is working, however, he was on holiday and the staff on shift were rude, slow and disorganised. We ordered two flat whites with their burundi blend and they were cometely under extracted and the consistency of the milk was terrible. Ordered another one with Peru and it was slightly better and a couple of crepes which were fine. When I got the bill, which they struggled to present, they tried to charge me with ristrettos and coffees from another table and the flat white I had returned. Then on top of it rudely claiming it was under my judgement and the coffee was fine. Im sorry to say but this treatement of a customer is unacceptable and the staff here are slow, badly mannered and not appropiately trained. I will not be returning here that is certain.
Really nice people working there ! They know how to make good coffee ❤️
Amazing people working here, when i arrived first day i was here drinking with a friend 3 hours before i entered apartment that is 5m from here.
Cool people here, good vibe. Eazygoing
We took advantage of the time we had before a meeting and stopped for coffee at the bar overlooking the street. What a charming place! Great coffee, super friendly service from really cool people, free Wi-Fi (so we were able to work for a while), and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a go-to café in SoHo.
Free Wi-Fi, delicious coffee, very friendly to customers. Great place for breakfast and desserts too.
Well located, good products and wifi available for working.
Very friendly and good Wi-Fi 😉
A varied and delicious breakfast to choose from!
A peaceful atmosphere, with Wi-Fi for working for a while, and very friendly service!
Very good brunch, welcoming staff, Wi-Fi available
Excellent service, very attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious.
They're also laptop-friendly.
