This is one of the spacious Space Roastery Cafe branches. It is a good spot for working from a cafe, having discussions with colleagues, or just hanging out with friends.
The coffee tastes good and authentic. I ordered a cup of hot coconut sugar coffee. It is sweet and the coffee is strong.
There are many chairs and tables available. They also have different seating options. You can sit indoors, outdoors, in the middle of the room, or at the tables close to the wall.
This place is a good option for learning more about locally sourced coffee beans from Yogyakarta. During my visit, the space felt comfortable and suitable for working with a laptop, as the Wi-Fi connection was stable, power outlets were available at many seats, and there was a designated working table area. The indoor space also felt cool enough to stay for a while. However, it was quite busy when I came, which affected the overall atmosphere. The baristas handled the crowd well and were helpful, communicative, and efficient when answering questions.
I ordered the Dolce Latte, the drink had a smooth espresso base with milk that was well integrated, creating a balanced sweetness without overpowering the coffee character.
I also tried the Chicken Katsu Curry, which worked well as a lunch option. The chicken was tender, and the curry sauce had a mild, balanced flavor that complemented the dish without feeling too heavy.
came by 8.31pm and they said the food order cant be made as it closed by 8.30pm😌 i can only order sandwich bcs they said the utensils for rice menus are already cleaned up (oh wow in 1minute?😅)
i’ve ordered tuna sandwich, and it tasted just ok (more like a sad food tbh); it’s a too-moist bread, with lotsss of mayo and just bits of tuna, chips was too oily for me.
i’ve also ordered split, but they only have 1 calibrated-bean for the options— olrite. tasted ok too. can feel a refreshing taste from the spro, but the white kinda off..
by 10pm, the waiter help me to move the remaining coffee from glass to paper cup, as they started to clean up— although it’s written they’re closing by 11pm😅
i mean, if you dont want to give a worth 11pm-pay-grade for ur barista/waiters, dont hesitate to open until 11pm😅 and closing the food order by 8.30 is funny bcs there’re still LOTS of people hanging out, coming in for sits and it still 2.5 hours before ur closing!
wifi works well, but it’s hard to find electric socket, speakers are kinda too loud.
Never had a bad cup here. The “manual brew” are always on point, the space is comfortable for working or studying, and the baristas are friendly with clear recommendations. Spacious, cozy, and definitely a place I’d keep coming back to.
Wow. How is this place popular? There is no menu to look at until you get at the counter so you feel pressured. They have a bunch of empty wall. Why not put up a menu? The place is sooo loud. They give you a password for the wifi but it's name isn't listed... They had a bunch of 'open wifi' but if you are smart you know those are dangerous. Coffe was good but everything else was not... NOT a good place to go if you want to relax and get some work done. This is a place for people who do the IG lifestyle...
Ever since my friend got me some beans from them, I've wanted to visit. I assume this is the most recent branch colab with the Cronica coworking and creative space.
The ambiance was pleasant; every table was filled with students working together. The coffee was excellent, whether it was brewed manually (I tried the Mandarin orange beans) or the coffee latte, which is rich, creamy, and combined with strong espresso.
In the end, I also bought beans from them (the forbidden tree). I haven't tried it, but I like the way it smells. Such the ideal spot to sip a delicious cup of coffee.
Modern setting, mixed with Jogja hospitality. Coffee is an absolute heaven. Perfect for working, meeting, social gathering or just a relaxing day
one of best coffee shop in town
cozy to working, hanging out, and very good services 😍
Coffee shop? Co working space? Place to hang out? You can find them here in one place. Great spot with the best price. It's so calm yet so comfy. Space Roastery always give the best offer with no hesitation.
Too noisy, slow wifi connection.
This is a great place for working. There is a lot of natural light and great coffee from Space.
There is also a cool merch shelf.
the first i saw this place looks cozy, cool and nice...good coffee, wifi and place to hang out and working from laptop...reasonable price for a cup of coffee and place...recommended
Nice place for working with a coffee
One of the favorite coffee shops in Jogja, this branch has a spacious space, like SSMI Co-working Space. The coffee tastes the same at all outlets, delicious, and you have to try Fredo. Be a member, don't forget. The staff is also friendly. Ample parking, cool indoor air conditioning, but sometimes it's a bit noisy depending on the day and who's hanging out the most.
The location is very strategic and is the most spacious Space Roastery branch. It's perfect for WFC (work-from-home) with plenty of tables and power outlets, along with a stable Wi-Fi connection.
There are two types of rooms: indoor and outdoor.
Orders are processed quickly, and the baristas are friendly.
This time, I ordered a Magic with Originutt beans and a manual brew with house-blend beans and Ice Breaker.
The Magic is typically bold, combined with the creamy and smooth taste of the milk. It's perfect for a morning drink.
If you're having morning coffee here, they offer a 20% discount on some items. Plus, the member price is already quite affordable.
A menu of snacks, main courses, coffee and non-coffee options is available. Parking is ample, both indoors and outdoors. Sockets are available, though not at every table, making it quite comfortable for a co-working space.
May 16, 2026/ Freddo Extra Fresh 31k -> 24k (member price). The taste is good, the coffee is quite strong, with a soda base. The main flavor is fresh, fruity (pineapple from Sprite?), with a thin, smooth foam on top. The body is soda-flavored, the aftertaste is coffee, and it feels somewhat like coffee soda.
Jan 17, 2026/ Originutt Nougat, the coffee is gentle, quite sweet with extra biscuits. The katsu curry is just okay.
The place is spacious, but often crowded. There are indoor and outdoor settings with air conditioning. There's Wi-Fi. It's pretty tricky for assignments because not all the chairs are comfortable for laptops. For example, the center table has a chair with a far back, so you can't lean back while working. It's okay for reading. It's a bit noisy because there's a lot of people chatting and music coming from the speakers, so it's not really for finding peace. For chatting, there's enough privacy because the tables are quite far apart, and your voices will be drowned out by the noise of the room. There's a restroom. There's a prayer room upstairs. Go into the office (?) to access it. Payment can be made using QRIS. There's ample parking for cars and motorcycles, and there's a parking attendant.
The Space Roastery branch is the most comfortable for WFC. There are long shared tables, tables with 4 seats, and tables with 2 seats. The Wi-Fi is reliable.
Dirty Latte (25k regular price, 20k member price, 16k member price + 20% discount before 9 AM) is one of the tastiest.
[RECOMMENDED]
There's no doubt about the coffee here. 🥹 I ordered the Manual Brew, the Pink Mandarin, it's delicious. 🥹 Prices start at 20,000 Rupiah.
(+) Prayer room on the 3rd floor (clean and equipped with sarongs and prayer robes)
(+) Fast Wi-Fi
(+) Clean restrooms
(+) Lots of coffee choices
(+) Ample parking
(+) Plenty of tables (with cushions on the chairs too)
(-) Minimal power outlets (you can bring your own cables)
It's also perfect for WFC, with several choices of mains, light meals, and snacks.
As soon as I arrived in Yogyakarta, I wanted coffee and was recommended this place. It's tucked away in an alley, but there's ample parking in front.
The place is quite spacious, with several people enjoying their laptops while sipping coffee. It's quite busy at night. It also offers a complete coffee shop and tables for sampling coffee beans. I tried the Gayo Apple cider, which had a sweet aftertaste.
The barista was friendly, and the palm sugar coffee with milk was top-notch. I forget the exact name, but I remember telling the barista it was iced palm sugar coffee with milk. I also tried the Geisha coffee with milk, but it was creamier for me.
There's a coffee bean roasting area here, visible through the glass outside. I'll be stopping by here again next time I'm in Yogyakarta.
The place is spacious, the concept of the place is for assignments/work, oh yes, the place is on the 2nd floor. It's very comfortable to hang out because it's not noisy. The drinks are delicious, making a member is also easy, just buy a drink for 50k automatically you become a member, the price of drinks specifically for members is also much different from non-members, so it's more economical. Try the manual brew with beans using pink mandarin, honestly it's really delicious😭, the chicken popcorn is also delicious, all baristas are friendly and understand the products they sell. Comfortable place, fast wifi, cheap prices, clean toilets. 100% recommended😉
Spacious place, ample parking. The tables are large, laptop-friendly. Plenty of seating options indoors and outdoors. There's a prayer room and clean restrooms. The menu is varied and the prices are affordable. The Wi-Fi is stable. There are plenty of power outlets, but not too many in the middle (if you're working with a group, bring another T-cable/extender). The playlist is okay, not too loud.
Another space roastery... the difference is, there's moshi-moshi here... the coffee is still the same as the other spaces...
The coffee tastes okay, same as the others, the food tastes decent, but too expensive (in my opinion) for that menu... the menu is quite complete...
The place is okay now because it's on the side of the road, a bit different from yesterday's upstairs...
Unfortunately, the outdoor area is too small in my opinion... especially for smokers like me.
It's good for working and assignments, the wifi is quite fast, the seating is comfortable, the tables are wide, and there's paid parking
The perfect combination of workspace and coffee. You can work longer.
The place is really nice. There are two types of rooms: the indoor one has air conditioning and more tables, and the outdoor one is perfect for those who want to hang out and smoke but not too many tables. It's a really nice co-working space for working on assignments/thesis or work. Oh yeah, there are also several rooms that can be rented for offices or meetings. The food and drinks are varied, the prices are right but the taste is really good. Lastly, the place is clean, the service is really good, all the employees are kind and friendly.
At exactly 7 a.m., we finally arrived at the newly reopened Space Roastery in Yogyakarta. The atmosphere was still as quiet as it gets in Yogyakarta this morning, amidst the ongoing pandemic. I was the first visitor this morning. It was nice to have more freedom to explore all the available areas and rooms. Plus, I could still relax and chat with the barista and even with the crew, who were still busy preparing the newly opened shop.
Upon entering the new Space Roastery, it was immediately apparent that it had just opened. Flower arrangements and congratulatory messages were still lined up, and the flowers were still fresh.
It's still in Yogyakarta, but it's located further downtown. It's located on Jalan AM Sangaji, not far from the Tentrem Hotel.
The location is integrated with the Cronica working Space. It's perfect for just hanging out or working in a contemporary atmosphere.
The new location is significantly more spacious, both indoors and outdoors (smoking and non-smoking). Parking is also more than adequate compared to the old location. As usual, Space Roastery's signature dishes are available on the menu.
Highly recommended for coffee and coffee shop. Beans and various coffee brewing tools are also available. Stay tuned...
The place is more comfortable than the other one. The toilet is clean but the coconut milk and sugar coffee is not that great :( it seems bland even though it lacks ice hehe. The atmosphere is more working, many people bring laptops
suitable for working, wifi is okay, spacious place, coffee is definitely delicious because it is by Space Roastery
The most comfortable co-working
