The Den

Waited all morning to get something to eat and I came here and the barista told me he couldn’t make any food because he was the only one. There were only two other customers and they had already gotten their items.

Even worse, while i waiting there he prepared food for a to-go order while i stayed hungry.

The latte I ordered was actually really good and it’s awesome they provide two hours of wifi. I honestly wished I tried their food. We’ll, three stars for everything else aside from the service.

Located on the ground floor or First United and inside HUB Make Lab, The Den offers a meeting place for the people who visit Escolta. The vibe here is very youth. Their dishes are nice as well! Very nice serving. I had their Spicy Tuna Pasta and Berg’s Coffee. They also offer a complimentary 2-hour wifi.

Tried the iced caramel latte (P165) - I'd give it an 8/10
Ambiance - very industrial and funky... lots of wood, concrete, metal
wifi - 3 hrs free wifi access unless perhaps you buy another drink after that, then you'd get a new code for wifi but there's not much plugs available so wouldn't say it's laptop friendly

Great egg sandwhich and coffee. Plus 2hr free wifi. Accomodating staff.

the coffee was really good, i got their special berg's! the grilled cheese is not a croissant, still really good with sourdough! but i ordered it for the croissant so i just wished they notified me that it wasn't a croissant anymore while ordering because it still say croissant on the menu and on their pictures promoting the sandwhich. it was pricy for a sandwich too (tastes good but i was craving the croissant specifically).
wifi is only for two hours (but i think if u order again theyll give u another one?) and they have plugs. i wasnt sat near a wall with available plugs but they were veey attentive and helped me use the floor socket. the servers were very kind! the restroom is out another door but they look after your things. there's a lot of cute shops outside the cafe too!

A really nice place to chill and work with backlogs. The place is very calm and their coffee tastes really good. Their service is good as well. Satisfied customer here. Will surely visit again soon.
