Fantastic modern simple yet atmospheric cafe in the heart of Athens, walking distance to restaurants, monuments and shops!
Space for laptop to work, great coffee quality well made ! Pet friendly!
Third Place is a hip cafe with modern interior design, pleasant music, a chill atmosphere and clean bathrooms. They offer soft drinks, pastries, and of course various types of coffee prepared by a skilled and hard-working barista. It was a pleasure to watch him work, as he was efficient, he had everything under control, and he was always busy with something (serving customers, preparing drinks, taking orders, refilling water, etc). if only every cafe had such good people working there.
Best place to work for nomads and travellers who wants good wifi connection.. the food sandwich is ok ok but amazing coffee.. really amazing.. Brazil one is my favourite but I tried all three espresso..
nice music (light) and wifi speed is super amazing.. the staff is very welcoming and service is very prompt. Loved it !
Really recommend!! The guy was so nice and the place is perfect to work remotely while enjoying an amazing coffee. I also tried a sweet (I don’t remember the name) and was delicious too! They have wifi, plugs and a big table to work.
Nice service. Good food. Great coffee. Nice seating. There are limited plugs but super fast wifi!!
The staff here , especially the tall guy with glasses looked like he didn’t want to be there at all.
I opened my laptop at an empty table for two and was immediately asked to move to a tiny, uncomfortable spot, even though the entire café was empty.
You can go elsewhere in Athens and get a warmer welcome, with the usual friendly Greek vibe. This was a pretty miserable experience in comparison.
Scam. 1pc of Lime soda & 1pc of Kombucha 10,5€?
No informed prices = scam for the customer.
Would highly avoid this place due the high prices and lack of listed goods.
Table for laptop workers was nice. level of volume was a bit high for working.
This café is a special little gem in the city. I discovered it by chance, but I already know it’s going to become my regular spot. Being able to bring my pet with me without any issues was a big plus, and the staff welcomed us both with genuine warmth.
The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. He took the time to guide me through the options and made me feel truly welcome. It’s rare to find that kind of attention and care.
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, perfect for working without distractions. I was able to focus, feel comfortable, and actually enjoy being productive.
I’ll definitely be coming back, and for any future professional meetings I need to have outside the office, this is the place I’ll choose. A great balance of comfort, calm, and hospitality.
Loved this place! Great coffee and music - perfect for getting some work done. wifi works well. The avo toast portion was generous and tasty.
Great coffee and a nice spot to get some laptop work done! Would love to see a bit more variety in the desserts, but overall I’m really happy with this place! Totally recommend!!
overpriced, ambiance is not great, and was told I had to move tables because I had a laptop despite all the tables being, which is very unhospitable
Great coffee, pastry and cheese pie. I wish there were more food options available when I visited. They do have nice, spacious tables if you want to work for a while, and the wifi is decent.
Had great coffee. Was working from there with my laptop was convenient and quiet
I happened to be in the neighbourhood, so I stopped by for a quick coffee and to respond to a couple of emails. All the tables inside were empty, except for two people sitting at the larger table. I found a quiet corner and waited to place an order. Instead, the waiter shouted at me from the counter—in a rather angry and authoritarian tone—that because I had a laptop, I had to move to the larger table. That summed up everything I needed to know about the ethos of this “third place.”
Very minimalist modern retro. Love the pistachio cake - it is crazy good. Seating is decent with areas to sit on cushions and a separate table for laptop nomads. And they bring you your order to the table, while you type away. 🙂 And they sell unique coffee tumblers and tea canisters that are so cool. Mostly locals here which is great but I think the word is getting out. 😂
Excellent coffee! The place is cool, ideal for both working, having a solo coffee and catching up with a friend! Highly recommended!
A great place worth for sharing. You can find this little coffee shop in close distance to Syntagma sq.
Third Place is a true family café, opened by Michael (a great low-profile barista) and his journalist wife Katerina. A zen vibe Berlin x Nordic style concept store with a nice walk in cafe and sit-down quick meal along with your flat white (or their mocha-inspired drink). Stepping inside feels like an escape from the noise of this big city, it seems like time stopped here. This is more of a liminal space, a true free-zone place, where the mind can wonder with a cuppa of the Ofellia premium specialty coffee. Or swing by just to see their awesome selection of small design objects and greet the cool duo of its owners and sometimes (if you’re lucky) the owners' doggie, Troufa, which strikes up for a tender ‘hi’. The place is always busy during peak times and is hard to find any free table, but it’s worth the wait, as the experience will speak for itself. The crowd inside is always made up of discerning travelers and some of the hippest crowd downtown. Settle into its long-communal table for a few solo hours with a good book/laptop and work your way through. When the weather’s nice, find a spot on the outdoor patio and enjoy the ultimate people-watching. In any ways, do yourself a favor and go find your ‘Third Place’.
Best coffee in Athens! Simply. We tried dozens and places and nothing came close. Nice atmosphere for few hours of work too on your laptop.
writing this review while in the store. such a cute and cozy place and AMAZING MOCHAS. I found this place cuz I'm boycotting Starbucks and need a place to study since I can't focus at home and honestly, the environment is amazing, great place to study. By the way, don't make the mistake I made; if you have a laptop/iPad to work/study with, there's a big table in the middle of the store dedicated for devices !!
It’s always quiet, friendly and cozy!
Ideal if you wanna work with your laptop, have a business meeting, or just hang and chill with your friends!
Speciality coffee, great interior, awesome owners – always smiley and communicative!
The spot is perfect cause it’s located right in the city center, while it’s maintaining the old Athenian neighborhood experience!
Within the cafe, for sale, you can also find great selection of design products for home interior!
Nicest people, extremely chilled out, beautiful coffee, place that could be in the backyard of your house (how homey it is), truly what the local coffee place in Athens and Greece should be. I worked there on my laptop but to be honest, don’t get your laptop, work can wait...soak up the great atmosphere, have a chat with a guy/girl next to your table and slow down your day. There will be plenty of sun, great coffee - I don’t think you need more. Third Place is my no1 place and will never miss it when I am in Athens!
If you come to this cafe to work, as we did, best tell this to the person at the counter right away and they will tell you where to sit. The wifi was good, but the music was a bit loud (no complaints). They have a nice variety of drinks for non-coffee-drinkers and some sweet buns.
Quite enjoyed the experience here. Coffee was good. Spacious setting and quite for working, very chill. The Ethiopian single
Origin is quite good.
Specialty coffee store as it has to be. Calmy vibe & music, stylish interior, nice people, great coffee. I’ve spend here a few productive working day— wish all the best to Third Place and hope to be back once.
Beautiful people, they make excellent coffee and food “Third place” at Apollonos street in Athens is a “Neutral ground” for people who grasp and love the society of people regardless of the class-based society. It is a lovely place for coffee, brunch, and working on your laptop. Don’t forget to meet the owners.
Found this spot thanks to a group of friends from Digital Nomads Athens suggesting a co-working session here.
The location is great, not far from a couple metro stations - I walked less than 10 minute walk from Monastiraki. Just far enough to be quiet and relaxing away from all the bustle of the crowd.
I was surprised to see so many interesting items on the drink menu from delicious teas, to fresh juices with carrot orange ginger to what looks like micro brews with just as interesting flavors like Strange Brew Jasmine
The staff seem very nice, the space is comfy and open with indoor and outdoor seating. wifi worked great for me, some others mentioned a few issues at first but they also got some work done after settling in.
Great place for getting a little work done in a nice environment or just sitting by yourself or chatting with a friend.
I'll definitely be back for more, I had a hard time deciding with all the great menu options so need to sample some more! My first taste was delicious.
Thank you!
If you looking a cozy place to have your coffee & yummy treats, that’s it! And when I say cozy... girl! This place is a whole experience... initially, the fact that it is located in the heart of the city and the absolute calm prevails, this place inspires you, to take your friends or just take your laptop and write the novel of your life... then, the aesthetic is like your tumblr dashboard... mark my words and give it a try ;)
Amazing place, super friendly, cool design and the best coffee in town!!! Great for any occasion, quiet enough for working with your laptop, social enough to hangout with your friends! Just visit and it will totally be your third place!!!
Super cool place to enjoy definitely one of the best coffees in Athens! Fast wifi to work remotely during a trip or on a weekend. Absolutely love this place!
Cool place to enjoy one of the best coffees in Athens. Super friendly environment and fast wifi to work from your laptop.
I came based on the reviews I read. Unfortunately it was so hot there and the wifi is not good and doesn’t cover the whole place. I suffered to get my work done and eventually decided to go to Starbucks which was much better and the prices are the same!

An Edit to the owner’s reply. Thank you for your RUDE reply which represent how unprofessional and does not a accept a small “review” that exapains my experience . instead the silly reply you should think how to improve your place to avoid such an issue again. and yes this is why reviews were made. please you should learn how to accept a criticism, you opened a “coffee shop that supports working remotely” so you should expect some bad reviews!
I came to get some normal work done, emails and some communications “remotely”. it was basic online work and yet the wifi was disconnecting every few minutes!
Sorry now, if there’s 0 star or even negative I would give. unfortunately I can’t give less than 1 star.
Really enjoyed the place for work, great taste in music, staff and the owner were accommodating, and the coffee was rich, smooth and delicious. As someone working remotely I would highly recommend it. I wish them great success!
We went there to study because we thought it was a good study spot... The wifi wasn't working, there was no reception, the coffee and the drinks were of really bad quality and the service insanely slow. The place looks like a prison. Extremely overpriced for it's quality
Extremely rude customer service and no air conditioning, the only thing enjoyable about this place was the juice we had. Terrible service and wifi is slow for those of you looking for a place to work
Coffee is not on par with other specialty coffee places. Cappuccinos are not smooth. wifi is terrible, no work can be done with this.
laptops only in overcrowded laptop area even though there are many other empty tables.
Hands down the best coffee in Greece.
Great for working remotely as well.
Very nice place to relax ,enjoy the music, work with your laptop and enjoy one of the best coffee in town
Great place for working
Don’t expect to use your laptop here, even though they have a “dedicated” table with terribly uncomfortable chairs. No wifi and mobile connection isn’t strong enough in this street. The place is empty, probably cause very generic and overpriced.
The first and perhaps only open co-working space-cafe-design objects shop in Athens.
The quality has been high and consistent throughout the years, both in the home products that you can buy from the leading interior design companies, and in the products that will accompany you on your break.
Michalis' kindness and Japanese gentleness set and keep the bar high in service.
A really lovely café in the heart of Athens with reasonable prices considering its quality. It has a stylish atmosphere (Hay furniture, designer tableware), and you can enjoy premium tea (including matcha) and coffee. Bonus points for the workspace (the table) where you can use your laptop, and the super-fast internet connection. The bakery is also very good! In short, I highly recommend it.
Quiet place, relaxed atmosphere, ideal for good coffee (they also sell specialty coffee beans) and reading/working with a laptop. For the latter, one can sit either at a large table or on a concrete bench reminiscent of school days. In both cases, there are power outlets. A big thumbs up for the toilet, where both the toilet and the sink are foot-operated!
We visited the place as a group of four to work, as we had seen it recommended as a suitable place to work. From the beginning, the manager was rude and in a loud voice, making a remark about the space we were taking up, even though we explained that we were expecting other people. Later, when two of us were temporarily absent, he told us that their laptops were "taking up space" and that we were pushing other customers away - even though there were tables available and sufficient space at ours.
His attitude clearly showed that he did not want us to stay, and we decided to leave. Although we did not ask for a tip, he arbitrarily kept 15% via POS. In addition, the toilets were clearly unkempt.
The cafe owner was very rude and constantly interrupted us. Even though there were four of us, he wouldn't let one person open their laptop, even though they only needed to use it for five minutes…
