Bathroom leaking water, also air conditioning not working.
working conference for business.
We had an absolutely horrid stay at this hotel. The air conditioning was not working, and despite repeatedly bringing this to the staff's attention, nothing was done. The manager actually told me at night that there was no alternative room available and that I would have to sleep in a room at 28–30°C – sweaty, uncomfortable, and completely unacceptable.||This is not the experience you expect when you're paying over INR 28K per room.| |To make matters worse, there was no drinking water provided in the room. You're forced to either buy a small bottle from the restaurant for €3–4 or walk 1.5 km to the nearest supermarket (I think it was Conad).||The front desk staff were cold, unresponsive, and seemed not to care at all. I've travelled extensively, and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had.||Do yourself a favour – totally avoid this place.
Total disaster of Best Western chain hotels. No food during Sunday. Nothing is working during Sunday, not even water available. It’s worse than 2-stars hotel!
This was a bit run down hotel in the middle of a trolley construction site. Rooms were low standard with terrible beds, breakfast was ok to eat but poor and uninspiring. However, wifi was good, the room was clean, quiet and staff was very friendly and helpful, explaining the third star in my overall rating. Absolutely not a ”four star” class hotel though.
This is our 2nd time staying a the Hotel Galileo in Padua, Italy. We will be returning in July, 2025 for another night as our daughter lives in Padua and we stay here when we visit her. The location of this hotel is easy access to City Center by bus or taxi; easy access to the train station by bus or taxi as well. We were also able to get the bus from the train station for a direct drop off across the street from the Hotel Galileo. The hotel itself is very clean, the staff are amazing. Price is right as well. Our only issue for this trip was the air conditioning fan was not working so the air didn't circulate throughout the night. The staff were helpful to get this rectified; but not until our stay was almost over. This issue was not enough for us to not consider staying here again in the future. We have already booked our room for July and also anticipating another stay in December.
Excellent service by the staff in the hotel. From the reception, to the house keeping, and the restaurant, every staff is competent and good at their job.
Having stayed for a longer time and experienced other nearby hotels, Hotel Galelio has the highest service and can recommend for both business and leisure.
Some points to improve would be to have a writing desk in the rooms. I had wonderful giant rooms but there were no proper desk for working. A better sound proofing to avoid the nearby busy road sounds would be appreciated. Other than these the staff made my stay very comfortable and I will definitely choose this hotel for my future trips in Padova.
Boring hotel, good breakfast, but nothing more. The pool is closed unless there is a special event. The bar was closed and the patio area was also only in use for events. |The apartment had no power plugs for computers although there is a desk for working. Also remember if you want the apartment, you need to rent pots, pans, plates, forks, knifes ect. Otherwise the kithcen is completely empty. Not even a glass.
I will appreciate the girls at reception who guided me to order food through app and helped me to arrange taxi in the morning for my meeting at next destination. I reached around 9 pm and after setting in the room, came to the restaurant around 10 pm, it was closed which was somehow tiring for me but timely help from the receptionist, I could manage my food. Rooms were neat but missing lockers, also i needed to ask for the toiletries...Room AC was not working properly but I didn't complain because of good weather at late night. There must be some English chanels for foreigners. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options. Room view was great.
The swimming pool not working was a turn off for me .
The spa is also no more there anymore.
The hotel is not the way it was in all standards few years back.
The new management systems is poor.
Breakfast is same meal everyday, nothing exciting and new to look forward to .
The gym equipment wasn't working most of them were bad.
Not looking forward to going back.
It's a good hotel with a catch: the air conditioner DOES NOT work in the rooms, with a couple of exceptions. If you go to booking.com and read the more recent reviews, you will see that most, if not all, complain about the lack of proper air conditioning in the rooms. My room was easily between 29 and 32 C (80+ F). You can complain as much as you want; nothing changes. After discussing with one of the front staff about the lack of an air conditioner, they put me in the best hotel suite, and there the air conditioner was working fine. Just be aware of that before booking.
Got in the room and immediately noticed the AC wasn’t working. Told the front desk staff and he says there’s nobody there to fix the AC, they don’t have any rooms to move us to since they’re fully booked, and they didn’t even have a fan for us to use for the night. Before we left for dinner we cranked the temp down as low as it could go hoping it would cool down while we were out for dinner but unfortunately that did not happen. Since my husband is here for business we are stuck in this hotel. I tried to ask for some sort of compensation like free breakfast at least and the front desk staff said nobody from “administration” was in to allow that.
Excellent stay! We have an apparment room, small kitchen with fridge, dish washer, sink, microwave and stove. Kitchen has cups, glasses, plates, cooking pots and spoons, forks and knifes. Everything was clean and packed in plastic. Hotel is very clean. Restaurant has basic breakfast with excellent home made cake. Location of hotel is A+ 20min by foot to everywhere: city center, train station, shopping mall. Tv in the room is not connected to network, but you have room wifi. Bring 3m network cable for tv! :) From Padova to Venice is 30min by train, ticket price 5€ per person in single direction. Train goes every 15min even at Xmas day.
Comfortable beds with clean spacious rooms. Staff were friendly. Was left down with the wifi though as i must have been in a room with a deadspot.
The hotel is overall ok, but it barely makes it to be 4 stars. A lot can be improved: some of the rooms have no AC working, the breakfast buffet could be a bit more variegated and the quality of the food is quite poor.
The information ℹ️ in hotels.com is not accurate because the pool is closed for example. As well there is no mention about green pass requirements to access restaurant and gym however you pay room rate like any other guest but they discriminate you from using hotel services . The AC in the room was not working and nothing was done about it . Room very small with uncomfortable bed and pillows. You have better options in Padova .
Rooms are ok, The poll is not included. 15 euros a head to use the pool what a joke. The first picture on the site shows the pool without an indication it's extra. wifi goes in and out on the first floor. Very disappointed.

Breakfast room like in a hostel, aircon not working and wifi extremely slow. OK to stay for one night. Room was clean.
Beautiful property with generous spaces. It's easily reached from Padua train station on foot in 20 minutes, or if you have luggage, you can take public transportation. Very friendly welcome. Huge, bright room. Wi-Fi is available, along with a TV and air conditioning.
The king-sized bed is a dream. Clean bathrooms (and I'm a picky eater). Breakfast offers a wide selection of savory and sweet options. Freshly ground coffee.
It's a five-minute walk from the 16th-century steps leading to the Burchiello dock, and a 20-minute walk to the city center and other attractions, including the Scrovegni Chapel, the Eremitani, and the gardens. The Basilica and Prato della Valle are further away, but Padua's traffic system is so well-organized that any distance is a problem. This hotel will always be our first choice in Padua.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Padua in a quiet area yet close to the city center. We stayed in the suite with a hot tub, meeting room, and terrace. The apartment was truly spacious. The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. It's a shame the pool is out of order. The wifi was good and fast. Parking was available. The cleanliness in some areas of the room could be improved.
Beautiful hotel, new and modern, both inside and out. I recommend the Venezia restaurant; the food and service are excellent. Overall, the hotel is very good, with a good location, about a 15-minute walk from the center and 10 from the train station, close to supermarkets and shops.
However, as soon as we arrived (Sunday), we were informed of problems with the water tank throughout the building: essentially, there was no water, or at least the water that came out was extremely dirty, making it impossible to use the shower or sink. We repeatedly asked when the problem would be resolved, but the reception staff wasn't particularly knowledgeable. We had to wait until the following day, late in the morning, for the water to be restored. Problems like this can happen, but in a 4-star hotel, I expect them to be handled within a reasonable timeframe. Aside from that, we appreciated the fact that reception tried to offer us a solution by offering us another room in the aparthotel; however, we decided to stay in our room because the other one had a strong musty smell and was definitely not up to the standard of the hotel rooms.
Another negative: the Wi-Fi didn't work; the connection in the room was extremely slow, sometimes nonexistent.
The staff overall (aside from a few) was inexperienced and unfriendly, not worthy of a 4-star hotel.
The rooms were clean and the housekeeping service impeccable.
If it weren't for the problems listed above, I would have given the hotel full marks.
Located on the outskirts of the city center, but convenient for those arriving by car. Convenient and free parking. Comfortable rooms, a generous and varied breakfast for €5, but the breakfast room is uncomfortable, small for the hotel's capacity, and poorly organized. Wellness area with a lovely pool and free wifi. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
I had a room with a queen-size bed, which is basically two small double beds, so plenty of room. The room was clean and looked modern, the bathroom was spacious, there was a large safe (large enough for laptops and a DSLR), free Wi-Fi (but very slow), and you could even receive BVN on the TV. The breakfast was fairly standard, nothing spectacular; the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a free gym in the basement and there is also a swimming pool (accessible to more expensive rooms). Parking in the lot next to the hotel is free, but not in the garage. The hotel is just outside the center, on the north side. It is about a half-hour walk to the restaurants in the center. Some streets are not well lit in the evening and the neighborhood is not known for its lively atmosphere, so be on your guard at night.
BW ALWAYS TOP I always feel good. It was my first time at Galileo but I had a great time. A special compliment goes to the receptionist Vera. I saw her deal with a slightly uncomfortable situation and she handled it very well in my opinion. 👌👍👌👌👌👌👍👍 I will definitely return if I return to Padua. Great breakfast. Clean and tidy rooms. The wifi isn't the best but I haven't had any major problems. Congratulations
Large, well-equipped room. Excellent Wi-Fi connection. Very complete and varied breakfast. Spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped bathroom. Easy access from the train station. Close to the university area and the historic center.
Beautiful hotel with well-maintained rooms featuring a shower, toilet, and TV. No disturbance from other guests. Air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a breakfast buffet, all for around 90 euros per person per night. It is located on the edge of the city center, and you can walk to the university or the old town in 15-25 minutes.
A soulless 4-star hotel, as is often the case with international chains. It's surprising that there's no password for the Wi-Fi (cybersecurity seems ignored) and a bathroom with minimal amenities: just a soap dispenser on the wall, no headphones, cotton pads, etc. The rooms are carpeted, too.
This is what we call value for money...|A short distance from the city center with everything you need within walking distance with very kind staff, cleanliness, good breakfast, parking, free wifi and above all a beautiful room with lots of space, a very good bed, pillows, etc. (in the main building and not in the apartments)..if I'm in Padova again I'll choose it for sure!!
A very nice and new hotel, a 4-star in every way.
Nice meeting rooms, free wifi and parking, very close to the park and the canals.
Clean hotel, large rooms, top-notch wifi, sublime breakfast, and super-efficient staff.
