Spotty wifi in the hipster district? Tsk.
Came here to sit down for a quick break. The cold brew was good. There is wifi and a lot of seating both outside and inside. The barista was fairly friendly too.
Stopped by here twice during my week in Stockholm. It's a great shop in Soldermalm with excellent coffee and good bites. Go further back in the cafe for better guest wifi.
Really nice specialty coffee shop with an incredible selection of coffees!
This place has super friendly and welcoming staff who are passionate about their job and will gladly tell you all about their wide coffee selection. The place itself is quite cozy, has a little bit of a soviet vibe. There is good wifi and a variety of seating options
Definitely reccomend this place for someone who'd like to try something new and interesting. If you prefer "safer" options that is available too :)
*NOTE*
No computerts are allowed in the café between 10:30-14:30, unless you are in the computer room, where they can be used all day.
I really wanted to write a good review and have a positive experience but I'm afraid I didn't.
The coffee might have been good but when they gave me my latte it was cold! The barista was trying to get multiple drinks made to be brought out at the same time, so I guess mine was the sacrifice.
Very crowded, but there is a lot of space. I came to do work and wasn't able to get on wifi because only a limited number of people are allowed, so I had to wait and keep trying to connect.
I was planning to sit down with my laptop and work and so I asked them about it beforehand. They have a computerroom and computers are not allowed in the rest of the café. However, the router is on the other side of the café and so I couldn't connect to the wifi at all. I asked other guests and they also struggled with the connection.
I had ordered a bagel that the barista highly recommended. It was quite expensive and so I expected it to be good, but it was an underwhelming bagel (without a hole ;) ) with some cream cheese, avocado, too much salt and nothing more. For a cup of tea + a bagel for 105 SEK I expect a bit more effort and quality.
When I addressed the issue with the Router, they were unwilling to find a solution. And so I just quickly ate my "bagel", left my tea and went somewhere else.
The coffee and juices are good enough. Worth reviewing though, is the fact the computer room. We were sitting in in the back behind the counter on a couch. We were searching on our laptop when a barista told us to move because they have a special room in the front for computers. There is no sign that says no computers. And there were also 3 empty tables in this no computer room.
Strange to be forced to certain room, but we didn't complain. We immediately closed our computer and talked with our drinks. A few minutes later another customer sits in our same room and opens up a laptop. We joked about the barista having to tell every customer to move.
After finishing our drinks we need to use the computer so we move to the computer room in the front of the cafe. It's one long table (seats 8) with no privacy and three other people sharing it . I can't talk without being heard by every person at the table.
Despite all of this, the reason I'm writing this review is to say that the wifi is terrible. After making us move to a special computer room, we find the speed is so slow because the router is downstairs under the room we were previously in. This is ridiculous. There is a Screenshot of my phone signal. The laptop took forever to connect to the wifi. And my boyfriend's phone won't even connect at all.
I recommend if you go to the length for separating laptops users from the rest of the cafe: 1) have signage, 2) enforce the rules to everyone (we were the only ones asked to move), 3) provide a suitable service worth your trouble and the customers.
Nice coffee, ordered a flat white, pretty fruity.
Nice place with wifi, nice crispy, sweet croissant
Great specialty coffee, great people, good homemade food. I can recommend the filter coffee. Sometimes a bit crowded with working people on laptops.
Dog friendly, spacious, the coffee wasn't our taste but we only tried the americano. Services ok, not a warm welcome though. Certainly a good place for working on your computer and if you have dogs, but not recommending it for a morning cosy coffee break.
An airy and well-sized double-fronted cafe, with an emphasis upon coffee quality. A house blend is supplemented by a changing rota of coffees. The expression-based ones are prepared in the fashionable ‘bitter+oil+crema’ style but the drip/filter was more rounded and to my taste. Cakes and open sandwiches are offered. At the till is a clear sign yelling laptop users to go into the ‘computer room’ - a narrower side room with high and low desk seating. This stops the main area being overrun with one-person-with-a-laptop-hogging-a-table syndrome. It’s a great idea and now the east of the cafe feels more welcoming and old-school charming. I think it’s an approach that could catch on.
I went twice in two days and if I worked nearby this would become a reliable haunt.
Flat white was milky with not much taste of coffee - the espresso wasn’t cutting through. Batch filter was cold and not the best either. We came at the wrong time as it was a public holiday and they were closing earlier than we thought. They would only serve us the coffee in take away cups even though they were not meant to close for another 15 min. There are much better speciality coffeeshops around the town. The girl working there was friendly and kind which adds 1 extra star.
As a long time stateside barista, I was very excited to get the chance to come here for a coffee. It definitely lived up to expectation.
The coffees were modern, well considered, and tasty. I came here with a friend who's not super confident in coffee spaces, and between the clearly organized menu and helpful staff, he got some filter he was really impressed by.
It also just gives big community vibes. There was a sweet hang going on in the corner, and folx kept coming in and recognizing each other. I appreciate that they've got a separate space for people who need to be on their laptop, and the music they were playing was totally reasonable background indie.
Glad I got the chance to stop in, and glad I'll have this positive connotation next time I drink some Drop coffee in the US.
Great place for working & studying with big tables and plugs. Different coffee assortment with focus on brewed coffee. Exciting coffees to try! The baristas have knowledge about their coffee.
Had an amazing Honduran Kalita here. Well worth the visit while I’m in Stockholm! Saw it receiving a number of 5 star reviews on different coffee blogs / websites. The standing laptop area is quite a nice addition while enjoying the morning brew! Very cosy and hygge interior design.
I came at 10 am when they opened. There was only one barista working and a line out the door. Despite this, everyone got quick service and a perfectly made drink. It’s very rare to get such good, efficient service and such perfectly made coffee in these conditions, speaking from experience. Marvelous credit to this gentleman.
I enjoy their specialty coffee and BEAN!
It is pretty pack even in the afternoon on a weekday, but you can still find a space to chill a bit. I also they have a sign for restriction laptop for certain time.
My flat-white and cold brew was really good. The cinnamon bun was okay. Price is slightly higher than usual but still acceptable.
Easy-friendly service.
Recently visited with a friend, and we had two drinks a cardamom bun and a sandwich, while working on our laptops. There were others working on the laptop as well, but a male stuff rudely told us to shift to another table where it was already packed. We felt extremely unwelcome, as we were the only ones told to move and there were still a few empty seats.
Coffee is decent, but will not be back.
The coffee wasn’t quite to my taste—it felt a bit watery and lacked richness. If you're planning to work on a laptop, be aware that you're only allowed to sit at one designated table. Staff will remind you if you miss this. The café has a lively atmosphere with loud music and lots of background noise, which might not suit those looking for a quiet place to study or focus.
Superb coffee but food not so tasty, fyi the place may get really loud if you're planning to focus and working there.
If you love coffee and want to try different shades of it – this is the place for you!
Hipstery cozy atmosphere, kind helpful staff, good coffee and some small bit of cake.
The Tåska brownie I took was pretty sweet, so mind it if you are not a huge sweet tooth or have a luck of sugar in your blood. 😁
Can’t call it my favorite place so far, but definitely nice and worth a visit. ;)
PS: No laptops in between 10 and 14:30! But they have a little room where you can sit with your laptop the whole day.
Short version: The coffee is specialty-grade, direct trade, and expertly roasted locally, and the staff are excellent.
Drop is working with an ambitious set of goals: direct trade with growers, buying high-quality (Q-graded 80+) beans, and careful roasting suited to the bean, not just local tastes. Putting all that together takes skill and commitment, and it really shows in the coffee, which ranks among the best I’ve had.
Amusingly for me, these sort of quality-first brewers can sometimes take a bit of research and effort to find, but I ended up staying less than 50m away for a long-term visit to Stockholm, and it was one of the first few places I walked by on my first day!
The peach pie was awesome. I had a hot chocolate - it had an interesting taste - I think my taste buds are used to the cheap stuff😁.. The laptop room was nice and comfy but the music coming from the main room was a bit too loud for a call. Barista looked miserable maybe because it was soon after opening and the place was a bit busy and she was alone.
The coffee is really really tasty and smooth, the staff is super friendly. But, a weird thing is that in the room where it is allowed to work on laptop, the wi-fi is not working. So just come amd enjoy your coffee here.
Pretty good coffee, but Stockholm is going to zero. Coerced into moving to some cramped table because I was on my laptop.
I am and would be fine with such an atmosphere if it is advertised as such.
Good food and drinks but not many options. Very expensive.
A very bad thing just happened, a person with a dog came to the cafe, and then two workers played with the dog and touched and petted it, and then without cleaning their hands they continued working with the coffee and the food!!! Very disappointing and disgusting
It is in a nice neighborhood that we had a tasty coffee! The service is kind and the place is clean. I have enjoyed drinking my coffee in a nice mug. The coffee was served in a metal pot for 2. The coffee bean we choose was from Costa Rica, the taste was soft, fruity and a bit acid. I had also 2 pastries which were good too. Simple and nice place to be also if you want to work with your laptop or meet a friend around a nice cup of coffee especially on a cold sunny day!
