Nero is a place that has never disappointed me. Both in other cities and in Gdańsk. It’s probably one of the highest-quality chains right now :) The coffee is delicious, and so are the cakes. Plus the place is incredibly cozy, I highly recommend visiting !
Place is pretty cozy, but please, improve Wi-Fi speeds! I'd love to come here more often to do some light work, but the place is in a dead-zone as far as coverage goes and the Wi-Fi is <10 Mbps down. Otherwise, the staff was nice and coffee was fine too.
Very chill place, helpfull staff. Its kinda pricey, but it is worth it. Can only recommend. They have plant based milk, oat, coconut and soy.
My favorite coffee shop chain, which I always visited in Warsaw. Now I can enjoy this place near my home. The baristas here are always very friendly, smile back, and are happy to help. Cinnamon rolls are what won me over.
The place is very good but the coffee and the way how it is serves is the worst I experienced so far comparing to other branches. The stuff is also friendly.
Green:Nero is famous coffee network, which we know from Warsaw and Krakow. Now it has appeared in Gdansk and obviously I wanted to check it in. First time I took frappe, which was a bit icy + too much conditioning inside, though the design is cozy. Second time i brought even a friend and took a combo for me: protein sandwich + coffee. But when I asked to warm sandwiche up, barely touching it through the paper, they refused because of epidemic reasons(?) I said, I wanna eat it warm and pay for it anyway, so please warm up. Anyway, they refused and left me wit totally unsatisfied feeling, as cold bun was not really good. Never had I such a case, when my normal request was denied, what about "customer is the right" or you care only about some unwritten epidemic rules?
Very disappointing coffee – poorly prepared and unpleasant taste. Would not recommend
Atmosphere is great and so is the interior- however food I ordered was served COLD even when I asked to warm it up- this is second time😣! I understand it’s a new place and many are learning and I hope it will be better.
Just okay. The cinnamon bread was too hard, and the coffee didn’t taste as good as the other Coffee Nero.
Oliwia was absolutely wonderful! She was so polite, sweet, and attentive, and it was truly a pleasure placing my order with her. She made my coffee exactly how I wanted it and made the whole experience so welcoming. The coffee was delicious, and the pastries were great too! Highly recommend this coffee shop, and a special thank you to Oliwia for such lovely service.
A very nice place with a great atmosphere. You can sit and read in peace. Very friendly service.
A good café. The coffee was delicious as usual, and the service was great. The location is a bit unusual, but the atmosphere is great nonetheless.
1) The drinks menu displayed above the bar is very unclear. I understand that this is the signature style at all Green Cafe Nero locations, but the board is so small, the items get jumbled visually. It takes a few minutes to read, compare, and choose a drink.
2) The staff is casual and friendly. I was at the bar with two friends, and the barista was simultaneously chatting with another colleague who was either on a break or free, who was also standing with his friends. I understand we all are, even at work, but when a guest orders something, you have to focus on them.
3) When ordering, they asked if the coffee is made in Brazilian style. I said yes, thinking they probably had a choice, but after paying, I noticed they added 1 złoty for the Brazilian option. I said the barista hadn't informed me about this. I was told it was written there.
There?? Where? - On the grinder! And here's a note: in the photo, please find where it says this...?????
To the right, next to the coffee machine, there's a coffee grinder with a sticker that says "Brazil +1 PLN." I think it's a rather inconspicuous spot.
I expect an open approach to guests; if there's anything extra, please let me know.
Black coffee here costs above average, so there should be a level of comfort and conversation with the guest!
The coffee prices are quite crazy, plus the staff offers a variety of options, not to mention that it's an additional fee. I think this is a really poor move considering the coffee already costs almost 30 złoty.
+ Maybe it's not their fault, but the signal is incredibly weak, so it's not a good place if you want to come to work. The wifi was also a problem.
The decor is nice, though. 😄
We ordered a latte with a Caesar sandwich, a strawberry matcha latte, and a savory quiche. Everything was delicious, fresh, and carefully presented. The staff was friendly and helpful, happy to advise on our choices. On a Sunday at 8:00 a.m., the place was still empty and quiet, creating a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere. It's definitely worth returning.
Green Caffe Nero @greencaffenero_ - a relatively new cafe in Gdańsk's Garnizon district - I couldn't resist checking it out 😉
While returning to the car after a hearty lunch, I stumbled upon a place I hadn't seen before. I stopped in even though I had no room for dessert 🤷♀️
I ordered a latte, a matcha, and a Basque cheesecake.
I'll start with the interior - very atmospheric, cozy, and pleasant. I think it will be fantastic to visit during the fall and winter months ❄️☔️
Coffee - delicious and delicate 10/10
Matcha - I'm not a fan of this flavor, so I'll leave that to the connoisseurs 😉
Dessert - very tasty, fluffy cheesecake 10/10
Service - friendly, smiling 10/10
Wide selection of desserts, cakes, and baguettes (you can stop by for breakfast).
You place your order at the counter and pick it up there. An unnecessary queue forms, the servers also take orders, and everyone hangs at the counter waiting for their order - a big drawback for me. The staff doesn't come to your table or bring your order. With such a high standard and high prices, customers shouldn't be parading around the room with their tray. This may not bother everyone - but it does bother me.
Overall rating: 8/10.
The best coffee in Garnizon, delicious breakfast and a very nice, atmospheric place
I'm familiar with most Nero locations, but this one, during my visits, consistently experienced very long wait times for food to accompany my coffee. I understand this situation during peak hours, but the cafe was empty. I received my food after drinking my coffee, 25 minutes later, which takes 2-4 minutes to heat up. This was definitely my last visit to this location. The coffee's taste and the cafe's atmosphere are a plus.
Great coffee and delicious sandwiches🥰A good place for a quick breakfast or coffee with a friend or colleagues.
The service was very friendly.
A large selection of coffees, including flavored and seasonal coffees.
I wholeheartedly recommend it ☺️😍
Unfortunately, our experience with Green Caffè Nero was very disappointing. The order included four sandwiches, but after more than two hours, only three were delivered. The missing item was neither delivered nor explained.
Another problem was the complete impossibility of contacting the cafe, which made it impossible to clarify the situation during order processing. Such a long wait combined with an incomplete order is unacceptable, especially for such a well-known brand.
We are not reviewing the quality of the products, as the meal lost its appeal after such a long wait. We hope to resolve the situation and improve service standards in the future.
Great service, cheers! I had to leave 5 stars because when I read these tense reviews from people complaining that the staff calls me by my first name, I just roll my eyes. Please loosen your ties!
I don't know how long Green Cafe Nero has been in Gdańsk, but when I saw them on Wolt yesterday, I jumped with excitement that the cafe with one of my favorite sandwiches was finally here. I ordered a sandwich (delicious as always, although I feel it was smaller than in Warsaw), a pisinger, and a blueberry muffin. It was a huge disappointment when, instead of a blueberry muffin, I got a blueberry muffin. I went on Wolt because I thought I'd made a mistake, but the blueberry muffin was gone from the menu. I'd rather someone cancel my order because they were out of stock (I know it's possible, because I also work with Wolt) than make the decision for me, choosing a different item (I know, I know it's only 3 złoty, but still). I don't like muffins, and that was a terrible decision on the part of the person who made that decision. I probably won't order again because of Wolt, because I'm afraid someone will decide what to eat for me again.
I haven't tried the food, but the service leaves much to be desired, and basic etiquette is lacking. The place has a unique atmosphere inside, but there's no self-service signage. The coffee is decent, but it doesn't taste good when thrown on the table. I don't recommend it, and I won't be back.
Very good coffee, even at 6:00 p.m. you can buy a sandwich, warm quiche, cakes... I recommend it.
One of the cleanest Nero's I've seen, very friendly!!! Marzi really helped me choose my order because I rarely drink coffee outside. She explained what blends and single-origin coffees are so well-defined that even I understood. 😭😭 And she even made me a delicious flatbread. ❤️❤️
Terrible service. Some teenager calls with a commanding tone, telling me to cancel my order because she doesn't have the cup I ordered. Oh, Green Caffe Nero, you've lost a lot in my eyes after your employee's behavior.
A perfectly decent coffee in a nice location. The decor and bookshelves create a nice atmosphere.
My favorite cafe has finally opened in the Tricity area! Great decor, atmosphere, friendly service, delicious coffee, and of course, the one-of-a-kind Oskar cake! I RECOMMEND!
To be objective, I don't recommend the Basque cheesecake – it's dry and over-processed, with caramel and strawberries on such a classic, like pineapple on pizza.
The place has a fantastic decor and atmosphere; it's cozy and allows you to focus on your work. My only complaint is the menu board; I have vision problems and it's hard to read without the barista's help. Overall, I recommend it.
Once again, I wasn't disappointed. Great coffee, delicious baguettes. Marcin, the manager, was, as always, professional, helpful, and dedicated. He ensures a good atmosphere and a high level of service!
Tasty, perfect lemonades, and cheesecake (a bit too sweet), but delicious
Knowing the atmosphere of Warsaw's green cafe nero cafes, it was nice to discover the first Gdańsk cafe of this chain... I recommend it
I arrived as a courier and was ignored for a long time. Two employees stood there talking to each other. When I asked how long I had to wait for my order, they told me, "You wait, nothing will happen." We stood there and waited for them to finish talking about where they wanted to go tonight.
Very tasty coffee and meringue, beautifully decorated place, it's just a pity they don't serve it to the tables :)
Each GCN is nicely (variously) furnished. I really like that. The coffee is delicious, the service is friendly, and this place has a beautiful location.
The service is great, the coffee is delicious and the desserts are delicious, I recommend it
While I like Green Caffè and go there often in Warsaw, this location is definitely the worst of all the ones I've been to. The place is beautiful, but with so many customers, there were too few staff – many tables were dirty, and it was difficult to find a seat.
I waited in line for over 15 minutes. I ordered a cappuccino, but the milk tasted burnt. I understand it's busy, but when you pay 19.80 PLN for a single takeaway coffee, you expect it to be worth the price. It was impossible to even drink.
I'm disappointed and definitely won't be going back.
As much as I enjoy Nero in other cities, I've already had a "trip" at this place twice in Gdańsk. The service is TERRIBLE. They're always rushing around like flies in a haystack, no matter how many people are in line. I ordered a coffee, the waiter asked about the espresso type, and then I saw on the bill that there was an additional charge for it. Okay, but why wasn't I informed? It's not about the 1 złoty, it's about honesty. I waited a very long time for my coffee because the barista was chatting with the sandwich guy about supplies. I understand, it's important, but isn't it possible to make the coffee and then talk? This meant I had to repeat three times what kind of milk I wanted, what kind of sandwich, and whether it was for takeout. No one listened to the customer. I felt like I was just interrupting the conversation and bothering them. After my reminder, "Can you give me that coffee now?" I got a retort, no "sorry" for the wait. No one else seemed to care that I was standing there waiting. There were about 5-6 people behind the counter, and NONE of them served me properly. The lady behind me ended up assisting the people behind me, and I was still waiting for my order. I won't be returning... nothing really stands out except the decor, which is truly atmospheric.
The coffee is delicious, but the small fresh orange juice is 25.9 PLN!!! This is a daylight fraud. What do you make the juice from? Oranges picked yesterday from Spain, transported by private jet???
Unfortunately, the espresso was minimally aromatic and cold. The cake was average, not to mention medium-sized.
A pleasant French atmosphere. It's a place to meet friends or read a book. It's very atmospheric and welcoming. I visit this place sometimes and I always feel the pleasant buzz.
A large cafe in a nice neighborhood.
The service was very poor - it was Wednesday, 12:30 PM, so it was very busy. There were four people jostling behind the bar, and only one man took the order from the woman in front of me, who then immediately took my order.
Meanwhile, he was still talking to a friend about what rolls they could make.
Ordering a takeaway coffee took 40 minutes - a bit excessive.
And I wondered why the order was even taken if, right after serving me, the woman in front of me completely forgot what I ordered.
The coffee, unfortunately, was much worse than the same coffees made at Nero in Krakow.
3* for the tasty protein rolls.
Ordered two sets from Glovo, only one arrived, plus one coffee – without milk, as ordered. The receipt was correct, but the products were not. The box was sealed. There was no way to contact the restaurant, not even to amicably arrange personal pickup of the missing items. When dealing with Glovo, I also asked them for their contact information, but Glovo couldn't reach me either. A waste of time, frustration, and money, even though the products are truly delicious. I understand that someone might make a mistake, but the lack of any way to contact them and resolve the issue doesn't indicate professionalism.
Delicious coffee, nice atmosphere and above all, great baristas. Warmest regards to Ms. Marcelinka and Mr. Marcin!
I had a very good experience with this place, but today I was treated very rudely by the waiter. I ordered a cold matcha, and when I checked in, it turned out that Blik wasn't accepted. So I asked my partner to run to my apartment for cash. The drink was already ready, so I asked the waiter if I could take it, sit down, and drink it before the ice melted. He said no, clutching the cup tightly. So I asked if he could make me a fresh drink if I paid in 10 minutes, and he said no. He argued and suggested I was trying to steal a 25 PLN drink. Finally, after other people in line intervened, he graciously allowed me to drink the matcha while sitting at a table in plain sight. I felt terribly humiliated. They still hadn't given me my change because they had no change. Of course, under normal circumstances this wouldn't be a problem, but considering that the gentleman 10 minutes earlier called me a thief and then announced that they wouldn't give me all the change, the situation has reached the height of absurdity.
Unfortunately, the menu is very unclear; everything blends together. I ordered the coffee and sandwich combo, but I wasn't informed which coffee was included and had to pay 9 złoty more. The music in the place is very loud, making it difficult to concentrate. The coffee tastes average.
The atmosphere of the place itself is very cozy; it's not crowded, and the location is great. The ability to choose coffee beans is also a plus.
Unfortunately, I won't be back just for the coffee. The cappuccino wasn't exactly a perfectly made cappuccino; it was more like an Americano with burnt, undercooked milk. Unfortunately, such coffees shouldn't be served, as the relatively high prices absolutely don't compensate for the quality of the drink. The cinnamon sticks are hard and dry.
From my perspective, the ordering process is also very impractical. If the place is truly self-service and customers pick up their drinks and food themselves, there should be a separate area for them. It's disappointing when I order four drinks and four cakes and the staff practically put plates on the terminals at the register, just to squeeze them in, while I have to maneuver cups of hot drinks between the equipment, worrying about spilling the liquid on something.
I was there over the weekend! The service was incredibly friendly! The atmosphere was also very pleasant. I had some of the best coffee there :)) I recommend it
I was there recently this weekend and I'm in love with this place. Delicious coffee, top-notch service, and a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend it! ❤️
Atmospheric place, delicious coffee and cakes.
