Hygge Cafe Gdynia

This was probably our best cafe visit on our trip to Poland.

➕ We ate breakfast and a sweet treat afterwards. It all was super tasty and good. The scrambled eggs were just perfect.
➕ Nice prices which matches the quality og the food and the service we recived.
➕ Very nice presented on the plates.
➕ The best Chai Latte I have ever tasted. And I would easily come back just for the Chai Latte, if the rest was not so good.

➖ Nothing negative to say.

We 100% recommend visiting this place for a wonderful meal og just a treat/coffee.

I do not care about hype on “hygge” or “fika” imitations but good coffee with high quality home made cake is definitely close to my heart. And this is where hygge cafe definitely delivers.
Was bit surprised about extent to which dogs are allowed (one, pretty large, was sitting with its owners on a window bench, but anyway - I do not really mind

Second spot in my search for a vegan scranery in Gdynia. Only the one vegan option at present but a good one.

I had the vegan cheese on toast – basically 4 banging rustic bread toasties with a small side salad. Pretty decent value for 29 zł . The Americano was quite good and I can be picky about coffee.

Had to come back later to try their sugar free vegan ice cream. I had banana & coconut milk and peanut butter – each scoop 9 zł – and both were delicious, a far cry from the usual sorbet-style vegan ice cream.

Would recommend to anyone in Gdynia, vegan or not.

A nice place. Coffee is OK and the cakes are good. There's also free wifi. The decor is trying a little bit too hard to make itself look and feel Scandinavian

I stopped by Hygge Cafe to find a nice spot to chill and get some work done, before I got a flight later in the day. The coffee was great, and I loved the pistachio cake I got to go with it!

The space was really bright, clean, and relaxing. It was easy to sit and get comfortable there, with the cafe not being too loud or crazy. The decor was thoughtfully done, and it was nice to has some comfortable seats, with books, pictures, and some objet d’art to make for a cozy atmosphere. A great spot to get away from the Winter cold for a coffee!

Two sides to the story. On one hand, the coffee is excellent and the place is seriously nice. On the other hand, the staff is lame (at best). It was not crowded, and it took them 15 minutes to prepare a latte and espresso. Come in only if you have time.

Here is where I come when I want to relax and read a book. Highly appreciated is the absence of annoying loud "McDonald" music. Prices are in line with the current inflation rate 😊 waitresses are nice and always smiling (easy to fall in love). Take your laptop or book and forget about the time passing. Only negative note: maybe it's time to remove the stains from the fabric of couches 🛋️ 😉😘

Delicious cappuccino with oatmilk and interesting tastes of filter coffee.
Try also sandwiches with pesto⚡ or eggs.
Very very good.

This is a great place to sit down, have a croissant, order a coffee, and just relax for a while. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the staff are fantastic, always kind and welcoming. That’s the main reason I keep coming back here and why I always choose this spot for my coffee break. One of my favorite places in Gdynia. Huge respect to the girls working here for their professionalism and kindness!

The cakes are amazing!!

A friendly cafe offering hot and cold drinks, and cakes. I got a lemonade and it was really good - properly sour and lemony, not overly sweet like in most other places. The seats are comfy, but the place is not really suited for large groups.

Unfortunately, the location makes it quite loud with the main street outside the door. Also, the staff were really busy (not their fault!) and needed reminding of my order, so be patient when you come.

Very cozy atmosphere and good coffee. I recommend this place as a morning charge and relax place

Very nice place to take a break in. Nice staff, delicious coffee and cool atmosphere. Although the prices could be slightly lower but it's understandable since the café is located on the most prestige shopping street in the city. Side note: that's the place where I ate the best raspberries in my entire life.

Aptly named! It's a calm, quiet place with some fantastic cakes.

I would give this cafe 0 stars as its the opposite of what HYGGE is. I am a chef and have worked in many cafes and restaurants but this was pretty bad. Was there 2 times in 2 weeks and it was an absolutely shocking experience. Me, my wife, and kid and friends and their kids went right after they opened and one can easily see the flaws . Two boys working who cannot handle a half full cafe who are soo stressed and confused and unaware that it was sad to see. so we waited 8 minutes despite being first in line in a barely half full place to be spoken to. Ordered a flat white and ice cream. The quality of the communist era ice cream from the hyper touristy Gdansk creamery Lody Mis, was old, icy and probably should have gone away with the communists in the 90s or stayed in the old town for tourists. We got the ice cream then waited almost 15 minutes for them to serve us coffee to go and when I got the flat white, it was a 500 ML latte macchiato a la Starbucks and they tried to convince me that this is a flat white. A flat white is at most 150/ 160 ml and more coffee than milk. The second time we went it was more of the same as above. Stressed out staff and completely out of wack coffee that tasted bitter and watery. Another place in a prime location on Swetojanska that will close in within a few months and give way to something better. Save your money and time.

I used to be a regular here. As a freelance artists, it was nice to do some computer work here sipping on a coffee. Unfortunately, today I was treated very badly by one of the staff members (manager, owner?). I came in wearing a big cape playing flute for the purpose of my art project. The lady immediately treated me like a complete intruder and told me to leave or call the police if I don't order anything. I said that I would like to order something and I was told that I can only do this if I take off my strange clothes. Not a very open minded, european standards of treating customers. Expecially, for a café called "cosy".

Delicious chai latte and marvelous vegan cakes, especialy banofee pie and salted caramel cheesecake. The staff was extremely nice and the atmosphere is very cosy ;))

Drinks are good although slightly overpriced. The day I was here it was rather noisy, don't know whether it's a common occurrence here - the background "music" certainly didn't help.

Okay but nothing special. I don't think I'll be back. Music was okay but they obviously had aproblem with connecting to speaker meaning it was annoying to relax. Mediocre vegetarian breakfast is served here. Coffee was okay.
