This is a chain coffee shop in Bogotá. This location was pretty charming, the roof terrace was closed during our visit. It’s very spacious with plenty of seats. The upper floor is perfect for working and reading.
The people and place are great. But the wifi is horrible. It’s taken me multiple tries to connect. Today the password on the receipt doesn’t work. Last time I was here it let me on and kicked me off in like 2 minutes. Sometimes in 5 minutes. Unless you have plenty of data on your hotspot to burn , don’t try coworking here.
Great Juan Valdez Insignia Store. It has a lot of space to come and habe a coffe
and work or nice conversation. The wifi works great there are many areas where you can work. I recommend the Strong Capuccino and the Matcha Tea with almond milk.
Great coffee, first time trying cold brew coffee and is such full of flavour. I also ordered a cheese muffin. wifi is not the best, but works for simple stuff like write this review.
Juan Valdez Café
A reliable classic throughout the city. Solid coffee, good pastries, strong wifi, and a comfortable environment—especially for solo travelers. Consistent, dependable, and leagues better than Starbucks (and yes, that needed to be said).
An amazing location with a great service plus a full Juan Valdez menu. I used this place to work on my laptop. Try the pastry and the coffee
Place nice but they dont have internet. Bad place for work. Tried connecting to wifi for ages and still dont work. Very old system of connecting to the wifi also. Could be nice place but very bad for work
For sure, you will find much better coffees in Bogota than Juan Valdez, but this place has a great space upstairs, that is perfect for doing some work or meeting friends. The wifi is quite slow and unstable, however.
Good Location and well decorated coffee shop.
wifi is so bad that I don’t understand how people can work.
Great place! Perfect for a working day.
Amazing coffee and foods. Friendly table and self service. Three floors of sitting space with different ambiances and even a pet friendly terrace on the roof. outlets for plugging in your laptop or mobile at almost all tables. Private working spaces and lounge chairs for relaxing.
I love this place. Good memories, good coffee, great atmosphere. One of my favourite places to hang out or be productive in Bogota --- UPDATE: I gave the place 5 Stars but in the last couple of weeks the wifi got so unreliable I cannot go there to work anymore. I don´t know why they don´t change the provider or modem or whatever. They´re loosing customers like this!!! Apart from that - including the new part of the place - it´s really great (like the old terrace more though). Cheers!
Quite relaxed place in Zona G to work a bit from the phone or laptop.
Staff was very friendly.
This is by far the best place to work remotely.
Make sure to sign up for friends of Juan Valdez, that way the internet connection improves significantly.
Coffee isn't the best but again, for working purposes, this place has gotten your back!
There are so many positive things to say about this place: there's ample room to spread out and study or work, it's located in a really safe and walkable neighborhood, all the finishes and furniture are in great condition and comfortable to use, robust wifi connection for patrons. It's just a pleasant atmosphere all around. And then there's the coffee! No exaggeration - this place puts Starbucks to shame! I honestly don't know how a Starbucks could survive anywhere near a Juan Valdez Cafe (and there is one close by this location). As someone who frequents Starbucks with regularity in the United States, having a simple Americano at Juan Valdez Cafe reminded me just how stale and burnt Starbucks coffee tastes. But I digress, this is not a rant against Starbucks, per se; rather, I want to applaud the quality of service and coffee delivered at Juan Valdez Cafe. I am thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this place. I've been stopping in every day (at least once!) during my stay in Bogota. So, Juan Valdez et al - thanks for the great cup!
Very nice and spaceous coffee place with lots of seats to work from, with power outlets. wifi is stable and the coffee is great. Highly recommended for anyone who likes to get some work done.
This used to be my go-to for working and sipping coffee but alas, service has gone downhill and their new menu is pretty lame. If you go to work on the 2nd floor, best order from the downstairs counter than wait for table service. They now require you to have paid and have a factura in order to get the wifi so if you have to wait to order (terrible service upstairs) and then god forbid you order an arepa it could be a half hour before you actually get the food and then a factura to pay. This is a new process obviously brought on by people coming to work and not order anything... I totally get it but if that's the new way then they have to improve service upstairs...
...Menu used to be better for lunch. Won't be my go to for a lunch/coffee work spot as often now.
Very nice interior. Lots of people using it for working or studying. Coffee is so so. wifi is so slow as to be unusable. Service is not great.
Great drinks and pastries. Very welcoming, multi storey layout. Easy to spend a whole afternoon or morning working or reading here.
Juan Valdez Orígenes is well situated and provides delicious freshly brewed or regular coffee (as well as tea) from different regions in Colombia! Food options are limited to pastries. This café is a great place to have a conversation or get some work done (especially on the second floor). The wifi password is printed on one's receipt.
Good coffee, nice place, but the internet is terrible.
The free wifi is super slow and the registration for the bonus program to get faster internet speeds is complicated and doesn't work.
Such a chill and relaxing environment. Absolutely love working from here. Feels like a library or a co-working space.
Tons of seating options, good wifi and really good coffee considering this is a larger chain. Definitely a better choice over Starbucks!
Best Juan Valdez cafe in Bogota. Great place with lots of space to work with your laptop, good wifi, table service and a great rooftop.
Great place to work at. Awesome coffee and good pastries. However, the wifi is kind of slow.
Nice place to drink coffee or eat something light, the location is cool.. In that place we can also use our laptop, read their books and use wifi
The espresso isn't good. wifi also virtually unusable.
A great place for having a coffee while working or having a meeting. wifi is not that good though
One of my choices for working, such a nice place to be in, with delicious coffe and a very romantic terrace.
If you don’t have issues working with reggaeton music on the background this place is for you.
Excellent coffee and a very cosy atmosphere. Good wifi.
Good co-working café. Even good for work meetings in a few places upstairs.
Great place to spend a afternoon taking, working or reading
Great environment for working alone or to have a meeting.
Great place for coffee. It's kind of like a coworking space, with a concept similar to Starbucks.
Good for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and people who want to work remotely in a place other than home.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
The only downside is that the Wi-Fi only lasts two hours, and you have to buy something different each time, as the Wi-Fi is included in the bill.
Nice place, upstairs is like a work cafe for working, it has Wi-Fi...plus you can have a delicious coffee and buy things to take away
I loved this Juan Valdez location. It's cozy, fits the neighborhood, and is great for going there to work on your laptop.
Spacious, beautiful premises with different environments and co-working space.
I love the place. But honestly, the Wi-Fi is terrible.
Good place to work, hold meetings, or have a drink.
Only one bathroom for such a large space is problematic.
The Wi-Fi is quite slow, even though Juan Valdez is a friend, it's slow.
The bakery is good; at the end of the day, they offer specials to get rid of unsold items.
You can order drinks in real cups, not plastic ones, to avoid polluting as much. They don't advertise it at all, but if you ask, they'll give it to you.
An excellent place to work. The site has excellent wifi and power for your laptop.
In Colombia, I always recommend going to local coffee shops; they're incomparable to the American franchises. The only major drawback is the brand's Wi-Fi policy.
Good Wi-Fi and plenty of space to work, read, or chat. Besides the excellent coffee, this shop offers unique products. Highly recommended.
Good service, although the menu was outdated. Good quality ingredients. The atmosphere is pleasant. Excellent for business meetings, with power outlets near the tables, Wi-Fi, etc.
A practical and beautiful place, bustling and with the convenience of charging your phone, Wi-Fi, good coffee, and a quick bite to eat. Everything you need to catch your next flight. I owe you a photo; I plan to post a new one soon!
For coffee lovers, it's a great option since it offers different types of filters. It's also a suitable space for business meetings, with various areas depending on the occasion, Wi-Fi, table service, and options for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and desserts. The facilities are modern and welcoming. While it doesn't have a parking agreement, there are several nearby. Overall, everything is excellent.
It's one of the most iconic coffee shops in Bogotá's Zona G. Juan Valdez Origenes is the ideal place to meet up with friends, coworkers, or even for a business meeting. It has a Wi-Fi zone that lets you do practically anything you want, making it an excellent place to enjoy a cup of coffee.
It's one of the best, if not the best, co-working spaces in Bogotá. The only problem is that a lot of people already know about it, and it gets very crowded (especially in the afternoons).
I think Juan Valdez would be better off if they designated areas for group chats and other more individual spaces. As for the products, they're the same as a regular Juan Valdez. At one point they served coffee in cups instead of disposable ones, but they keep using the pandemic as an excuse.
The Juan Valdes Origen space is great for coworking; you can share a coffee, the atmosphere is cool, and the terrace is lovely and pleasant on a rain-free day. The second floor is more geared towards work.
Juan Valdez Origenes offers a comfortable space with various seating areas (sofas, beanbag chairs, high tables, and armchairs). They have a good selection of desserts, pastries, and Colombian coffee. It's highly recommended for foreigners who want to try different varieties of Colombian coffee. The café has free Wi-Fi, and you can bring your laptop and enjoy a pleasant time while sipping some of the best coffee in the world. Highly recommended.
