The best bakery in the city! Great staff and delicious French pastry!!!
La Bagatela offers a cafe, bakery, and breakfast/lunch menu all in one. They offer a great coffees, sandwiches and croissants. I especially recommend the onion soup and the cinnamon rolls – they're delicious! It's a great place to spend the day, whether you're working remotely or just relaxing with a book. The staff is friendly. Particular employee, Lady with short blonde hair was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The cakes are the only area where I feel there's room for improvement. While they look appealing, I found the taste somewhat underwhelming, especially considering the price
La Bagatella - a perfect little Gdańsk cafe; tasty French breakfast and the warmest service from Jakub & Kasia ☺️
Visited on a Sunday at 9 in the morning. It wasn't too busy, surprising as it's one of the only places open around the area early. Only 5 minutes from the Railway Station - Gdańsk Wrzeszcz. The service was polite and the staff there looked happy. The food on show looked delicious. Menu had a small variety, not too much. So much so on leaving, even after being sooo full, I got a Croissant z Czekoladą. Which was huge and super tasty, and only 9zł. The only thing, and it didn't bother me too much, that I can say is negative, is my spoon was not cleaned properly, that came with the Latte Classico. Apart from that, the presentation of the food and drinks was beautiful, the food was sooooo tasty. The place was moderately warm, which was nice from being out in the cold. The Herbata Zimowa, was good and fruity. Lots of effort put in, unlike other places I've been. I would recommend coming here for a small bite before your train journey or just for a trip out.
Well, croissants are pretty good (we ordered "Croissant z pistacja" and "Croissant z białym makiem") 😋 But I believe that cappuccino could be better (I would like to recommend to use milk that "gives" more homogeneous foam during whipping) ☕ Anyway I would like to recommend to visit this place 'cause there a wide variety of croissants and cozy atmosphere (imho)
Update : so I visited again with a friend, and ordered pain au chocolat. This time around it was much better :) So, I change my rating from 3 to 4 star for food.
I ordered a coffee and croissant. Coffee was great, the croissant looked and smelled amazing but unfortunately it was very dry and hard from inside. Maybe it had been lying too long on the hot rack, or something. I'm not sure, but the flavor was good, but I was disappointed with the texture and the dryness.
I give 4 stars because my friend tried it few days before me and her croissant was perfect.
Incredible french baguette 🥖 with butter costs all breakfast money, and absolutely awful coffee (cheapest in the price range) and even milk did not make it a bit better.. tomatoes in salad was not fresh. Also would be nice to improve air condition, was hard breathing once smth bakes.
Delicious pastries and top-tier service! We were served by Kinga and she was so amazing. Would recommend!
The breakfast menu was excellent, The portions were also just right. The coffee was very big. Overall it was a very nice place and good service. I recommend coming here. (Croissants were great and you can get fresh baguettes to go)
I think this the best breakfast buffet in entire Gdańsk Wrzeszcz. In fact this could be the only place which opens early morning in that area. Even Galeria Metropolia, have their food court on second floor closed and opens late at noon or later.
It's ridiculous that around train station of Gdańsk Wrzszecz you can't eat breakfast because everything is closed.
That's why La Bagatela in Hotel Szydlowski is the best place you can eat for very reasonable price.
Variety of selection, clean and neat serving, great coffee and such a great atmosphere with music in the background is such a pleasant way to enjoy breakfast.👌
The best place for a coffee or a french pastry.
Very nice atmosphere and excellent service, especially Kasia was very nice and helpful with the suggestions. Highly recommend.
Nice place, but quite expensive, I had a latte and butter croissant and it cost me 23 zl. That's a lot for just a coffee break. Otherwise the place is nice and have lot of croissant options
I suggest the basque cheesecake!
Just popped in for coffee and cake to the shop on right from Bagatella
Cakes were lovely, but the staff working this morning was grumpy to all customers while we were having our coffees. She clearly did not want to be there!
Cakes were lovely and coffee shop was nice and warm. It was cold outside.
Solid croissants although I like mine less dry than what they serve here. Nice view on the Gdańsk highway!!
Great bakery with big selection of croissants, sweets and breads, which are baked right there (this is a rare thing comparing to other simpler bakeries around) - you can often see ladies working the dough. The only place in the neighborhood that is open from the early morning every day, which makes it irreplaceable.
Coffee and other food is ok, but I come here mostly for baked goods.
Same staff works here for years, which is a very good sign.
Open at 0630 with delicious fresh baked goods, coffee, and a salad bar for vegans and bulimics.
We had a great breakfast, including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cheese and ham, tomatoes and a duck salad and some pastries. Everything was delicious. The staff was also super nice and offered a pleasant conversation. I highly recommend checking this place out!
A cozy cafe with lovely interior. Pain au chocolat was delicious.
A cozy place to start the day. Attached to a hotel, the place serves as their go-to restaurant, but is also frequented by passers-by, like myself. Lots of pastry on offer, of which I tried the chocolate cookies, and they're excellent.
The Scrambled Eggs & Salmon Toast breakfast, with the toast including spinach leaves and garlic, is very tasty.
On top of that, staff is very kind. Smiling, helpful, welcoming everybody entering the shop, with particular attention given to regulars -- of which there were many during the time I sat there.
Good variety with fair prices. Cozy place to have a coffee.
Briljant bread, french style.
Also very nice and different (this is positive!) sandwiches and quiches.
Great food, fantastic service and atmosphere that’s soothing. Highly recommend for breakfast!
Nice and cosy place. All the Covid-19 precautions were taken. Thank you for it.
Allergy document is missing cinnamon roll. Which caused me health issues. Therefore I wish to get back my 7 złoty.
Decent, the french toast was dry. The ingredients used are nothing to write home about. The bread is good.
I love eat breakfast here, services are always nice but, often the hotel guest are so loud when they eat breakfasts...
Friendly place, nice breakfast, thank you for your service today morning!
Always with a great atmosphere and friendly staff, Bagatela has delicious pastries that make me return every single time.
Very rude and arrogant service if you are not Polish. We are tourists, we asked if they could speak English, no, only Polish. So if you don't speak Polish, don't visit this place! Don't recommend!
Perfect place for breakfast, tasty croissants 🥐 and desserts! Highly recommended!
Delicious French pastry. Best baguettes and croissants in the city 🥖🥐
Delicious breakfast with very friendly staff and relaxed ambience
Best breakfast in the area 🙏😌
Came here at 17:00.Don’t working kitchen, only coffee.Any information about it,low level!
Very good experience and lovely vibe
Vanilla chocolate croissant, yummy. Try it out..
Cozy and delicious!
When I was in France I ate better baguette.
Best cruasanes in Gdansk, imo
Fine breakfast, french bakery
Good for coffee and croissants
Super!
Nice place 👌 👍
Nice place in Langfuhr.
The baguette with olives is so good 😍
In the morning I bought the ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate croissant. They both looked great and the ham and cheese croissant was still a bit warm so I immediately tried it after buying it. However, when I took a bite I was met with an overload of crispness. I can appreciate a crispy croissant but not when it's 90% crisp. It wasn't fluffy or soft on the inside.
The chocolate croissant was almost the same story. On the picture it looks like it would be soft and fluffy but again, the crisp is overtaking it. The chocolate inside however was pleasant and soft.
Perhaps I just got crispy croissants or that's the style they like, but I'd rather not buy more in the future.
I recommend you to go there, although I was alone there but it had a special vibe.
That was nice with french touch and pop music.
Thought I was in Paris.
A wonderful place. I love trying new places, but this one was so delicious that I went back the next day. I was captivated by the goat's beard sandwich, the delicious croissants, and the desserts. The atmosphere was perfect, and the service was excellent. I regret not trying another bread. I highly recommend it. It was delicious. I will definitely be back ☺️
A very successful breakfast at La Bagatela. A large selection of fresh products, tasty breads, and delicious French pastries. The breakfast buffet was well replenished, and everything looked fresh and appetizing. The aromatic coffee and friendly, helpful service were also a plus. Definitely worth a visit for a leisurely breakfast.
