Botani Cafe

I stopped by this neighborhood café one morning around 7–8 AM for a quick coffee and breakfast. It’s a small spot, but they do have indoor tables and a bit of outdoor seating, making it a peaceful place to sit, work, or just relax. A few people were already working there when I arrived, which gave it a nice, calm vibe.

I ordered a regular coffee with milk, but unfortunately, the milk curdled right after being poured into the cup. I’m not sure if it was the milk or the acidity of the coffee, but it clearly wasn’t right. To their credit, the barista was kind about it, tossed it out immediately, and I switched to a plain black coffee instead. I’m not usually a black coffee fan, but it was fine. I also grabbed a plain croissant, which was simple and decent, nothing special.

Overall, it’s an okay spot. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a quiet place to enjoy your coffee or get some work done, this café fits the bill—even if the food and drinks themselves are pretty average.

Needless to say this has become my second home and favorite 3rd space over the years. This coffee shop offers a really unique vibe with beautiful interiors, the best selection of coffee and tea beverages, along with a nice selection of novelty items that include plants, incense, candles, and ceramics.

Not to mention the best staff ever (shoutout to Michael, Maria, Elena, Parker, Nick).

Easily the best cafe in Bedstuy for co working, meetings, and relaxing.

Coffee is good but only to go…the vibe no so much feels like some sort of coworking space rather than a coffee shop..just a bunch of snobby people on their laptops pretending to be working. Sad because it’s a cute place and would like to actually sit there with a friend and have a pastry and a conversation but doesn’t feel welcoming.

Fabulous little neighborhood cafe. Coffee and drinks and vibe always wonderful. My favorites are americano(always strong enough), charcoal tea, iced matcha latte.

My only minor notes- gluten free snacks are limited, and seats inside fill up early. That said, they just got umbrellas for outdoor seating, and I’m happy they’re busy :)

Botani used to be such a vibe, but since the new team got hired everything feels a bit off. The new barista guy always has an attitude towards everything and everyone (except if they’re flirting with them). Whenever the white girl and the other two guys are working the vibe feels great, but this guy brings an attitude that feels so off for a neighborhood cafe. He does put on a show, but this isn’t a runway, people are just waiting for their coffee and a smile and he’s just not it. Just be nice.

i’ve never been a regular at any coffee shop before (mostly because I don’t like coffee) but everything about this place keeps me coming back. Impeccable vibes, great place to work, fast wifi, and the staff is awesome (especially Ikenna!!!).

Friendly staff and good food, seems like they have reliable internet too as I always see people working there.

However, they ran out of chai before 10:30am which seems like a stocking issue. Waited in the long morning line for nothing. Perhaps institute something to put on menu that says it's sold out.

this is my hands-down go-to. so cozy, so effortlessly cool, so full of artistic people working away. this place has a special place in my ❤️

They do have delicious seasonal/unique drinks!! Each one I've tried has been so delicious, I had to do everything I could not to chug them all the way down in one shot - I wanted to savor it!

The matcha is good too when they don't have the specials out. Sometimes there's a little bit of a line, but it's worth the wait. Have only been in to grab and go, but seems like there's always most of the seats full with people working during the day.

I make a point to go whenever I'm in the area!
