Pacha Cafe

They have the nicest barista. Coffee is good. Hot or cold both. What is also very nice. They have a special tea menu. Super cute pot to sit down and work while having a good coffee or tea. A lot of people wear in there with their laptops working studying. Good place to go if you’re in the neighborhood, I need some quiet time to work to think.

There's too much to cover, so I'll start with the egg sandwich: a Peruvian twist on the classic NYC BEC. Let's just say it's the kind of sandwich you'll want to be alone with. It's the kind of sandwich you'll consider texting “hey u up” to at 3am. I guarantee you will be fantasizing about this sandwich for the rest of your natural life.

The same goes for their other dishes: the house special Peruvian tamal, the chilaquiles rojos, the salchipapa breakfast burrito with an aioli so nice I couldn't tell if it deserved to be sold by the quart or the gram. The owner told me they even had a kids menu coming up. To my mind, kids don't deserve food this good.

Their signature drink, the Cold Fashioned, has all the buzz and satisfaction of its alcoholic counterpart. You have no idea you need one of these right now. That's fine. One sip will sort that out: cool, refreshing, the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. As you will be

As for the space, I'll be brief: there's an optical illusion on the wall that I genuinely cannot explain, a reading nook, and a backyard where you can hear birdsong. In New York City.

This place is full of regulars. How I envy those lucky bastards. That wonderful multifarious slice of Brooklyn. For Pacha welcomes everyone: if you want to chat or be left alone, tap away on your laptop or charm a date with your astonishing good taste. The owners have thought about every last detail, and what they've built is rarer than it sounds: the feeling that someone genuinely wanted you to be happy there.

If you've read this far, you already know what to do: get yourself down there. I took an international flight. And I would again. You could take the subway. Order an espresso and a tamal, pull up a seat, put down your phone, and remind yourself why humanity was worth it after all.

Friendly staff and lots of seating including a back patio! Many people there working on laptops. Happy to have this new spot in the neighborhood!

Great cafe. Was actually on my way to try Hamlet when I stumbled upon Pacha. Great coffee and the jackfruit tamal was tasty as well. I only wish they had a vegan pastry, as nice as the tamal is it isn’t something I want with my coffee all the time. Great seating indoors and outside and great wifi.

Great spot all around. Spacious for working, warm and cozy vibes, very friendly staff and great cafe food/coffee. Really enjoy this neighborhood spot

I love it here. It was my first time coming yesterday and I’m back again today. There are plenty of tables in the front, back and outside to work remotely and fast reliable wifi. Their coffee and food are great so I can stay fueled. There are healthy options and alternatives too. The staff and owners are warm, friendly and accommodating so it overly passes the vibe check. I highly recommend this gem!
