Poetica Coffee

Cozy, homey space. Matcha was very light color + a little grainy FYI. Lots of seating in the back + people working on laptops. Pubic wifi + bathroom! Small amount of outdoor seating. Staff was super friendly + remade the drink for the customer in front of me with kindness + understanding when it wasn’t what they wanted. Not a ton of standing room in line FYI. The buns in the front pastry case looked amazing. Will def be back to try more!

Every neighborhood in NYC deserves a really good cafe...and I think Poetica serves that role for Windsor Terrace. Poetica has all the essentials for a good cafe -- great coffee, a pleasant atmosphere, large seating area , and a clean working bathroom. All of this is capably managed by Nozima, the location supervisor who is super friendly, creating a very welcoming atmosphere for friends, families, students and remote workers. When a latte costs 6 dollars, the coffee has to be good, and Poetica's coffee is consistently good. Making really good coffee is tricky so the Poetica staff must be well trained. This location also makes delicious breakfast sandwiches and salads and serves fresh baked goods. And for early risers, this locationa always opens at 7:00 am sharp. Overall Poetica is a great asset to the Windsor Terrace neighborhood.

I had matcha latte. It was excellent. Not sweet at all. Coffee shop is created to people to hang out and work there. They have free wifi, printing paper option and lots of seats in the back.

Gorgeous intimate coffee shop ideal to hang out and work. The wifi connection is impeccable! I've been working downloading audio files and mixing a podcast, perfect spot to be and do it.

The tea I had was great and the aesthetics are super comfy. Music is definitely not laud at all and the street is really lovely. Very close from Prospect Park, definitely a place to come.

Food is great. They have amazing macaroons, quiches and sweets.

The staff is a 200%. Super awesome people, really giving and helpful. Definitely one of my favourite cafes so far around this area.

This is a great place to both unwind and get your work done it seems to perfectly fit both scenarios. You're not distracted because everyone is respectful of each other and the music always fits the mood to either just chill, study, or get some work done. There's wifi and outlets in case your battery is running low and delicious drinks in case you’re running low. They also have a very tasty menu, health conscious and when needed craving conscious 😋

Kind staff and consistently great coffee and latés. However you may not find a seat if you’re looking to stay with your beverage or food. On multiple occasions, I tried to find a seat to enjoy my drink only to find all the seats taken by people with empty coffee cups, crumpled napkins, and open laptops using the space as their personal office. I wish there was a laptop time limit or dedicated tables.

I love this coffee shop but the patrons are the absolute worst. People camp all day working so if you want to come and enjoy a coffee and chat or a work meeting you will literally get yelled at by other people who use the space as their personal office for talking. I really wish the establishment would play music or something back there to encourage people to use the space as what a coffee shop should be, a place to comnect with others, not a place for people to cheap to rent an office space. If you want to work in a publis space you need to know there will be noise. Sincerely, a writer and designing that frequently works in public spaces and would never ever tell someone else to be quiet in a dining area.

Good coffee and decent place for coworking, they have a lot of open spaces with free wifi. It can get a bit packed when people cowork from there for hours, as it picks up around breakfast and lunch time. Staff is friendly, but it's a lean team so there are some delays on food.

Great coffee, kind staff, FREE wifi, and lots of seating. Phone booth for rent $5/30 minutes.

Other coffee shops should replicate this one. There's actually seating, electrical plugs, and a phone booth to work in peace.

Small place. The person who was working there was very nice. I showed up a little early on accident but they still served me. The spinach and feta crossiant is very good.

Love this place! My favorite spot to work at in the neighborhood--lots of seating, great wifi, plenty of outlets. Coffee and service are both wonderful, and I always enjoy their music selections.

They make super delicious drinks and OUTSTANDING SERVICE! All the girls working in this location is super nice and sweet❤️❤️
