Great place for studying, working or just hanging out
wifi
Very nice place, delicious tiramisu, one of the best ones I had! Coffee is also good. Perfect place to come with a laptop to work for a little bit.
Very awkward experience with staff, but good coffee.
When I came in, nobody was in line, so I went right to register.
Guy "working" there stands next to me, looks me up and down while smiling, and not saying anything. Woman then comes from around the register to stand right in front of me, saying nothing.
Awkwardly, I'm like "hello, can I just order a coffee?"
Woman then types into tablet for like two minutes, while dude is still there, smiling at me (both inches away from me). Im guessing since I wasn't dressed all fancy, I mightve looked out of place (hoodie, sock hat, jeans). I was clean though, just not all fancy.
When I asked for extra cream and sugar, the woman says " you can put your own sugar in". She didn't SAY it rudely, but it sounded rude.
I said "okay", then she goes "black then?". I was so confused, but thankfully smiley guy says "extra cream", then turns to me and smiles while still looking me up and down. 🤣
I couldn't wait to get out of there, it was so strange how they treated me. The coffee was really good though! I'm guessing smiley is from somewhere in Europe where people actually stand close to one another and smile at strangers, I'm just not used to that I suppose.
It's a great little coffee house. Theres wifi, a basement air conditioned seating, and bathroom. The first floor has an authentic coffee house feel, with window doors that open all the way un warm summer days, and are closed in the brisk fall/winter months. Theres is alot of seating outside, but only in the those warm days, during the colder months outdoor seating is limited. Dessert is a hit and miss, I had the chocolate cake, which while rich in flavor and moist, it was also very dense. The coffee was very good, service is quick, and theres an appealing charm to the place. Across the street is a pharmacy, and a park (not playground), Fordham road is walking distance, as well as a hospital. Little italy has the worst parking unless you are willing to pay for valet parking, so it's best to park elsewhere and walk, or come by public transportation and then walk the rest of the way. Decor is dim, and the mood while loud and crowded, its tranquil and soothing. I definitely recommend this place.
Nice neighborhood cafe. Staff just needs to give more attention or service to customers - [all customers] and or at lease pretend they enjoy working there.
Friendly! Could use heating. wifi is fine for browsing, but don't count on it for big downloads. Brownie is fluffy, but crumbly as opposed to fudgey.
Exceptional spot in the Bronx
Very European café vibe with Italian and Turkish influence
Very beautiful, bright windows, classy decor and lighting
The caffeine content in my Cappuccino Viennese was strong! They have pastries and smoothies too. outlets to do some laptop work and they let you hang and dont feel rushed
