787 Coffee

I’ve been to a few other 787 locations downtown and one in PR before, but Eileen and Annabelle made my visit to this location extra special!! I originally came in to restock my rum infused coffee beans for my at home espresso machine, but decided to grab a latte and sit down and get some work done while waiting out a drizzle outside. It was my first time trying a quesito (cream cheese pastry), and it was the perfect addition to my horchata latte, and they mentioned it’s made fresh daily. They have a restroom and wifi too!

While this was a very expensive coffeeshop, it was the perfect place to work from for an afternoon, in a very difficult spot to find that! It had great wifi, outlets, tables and seating, and a bathroom. The coffee (I got a horchata latte) was great despite the pricing!

Great coffee and great vibe! It’s my first Puerto Rican coffee and it’s creamy, thick and smooth, different but delicious! The barista did a great job explaining the difference to me! $9 for a latte is quite expensive so make sure you sit down, enjoy the coffee and use their wifi and restroom facility to make your bucks worth it.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood hands down. The vibe is just so chill. Manuela and the rest of the folks who work here are absolutely the best. It's just a really comfy place to chill with your laptop or just get coffee to go. The people who own the coffee shop literally grow their own coffee beans in Puerto Rico so you could not get more ethically sourced.

Great vibes and such lovely service! There’s wifi so it’s a good spot to catch up on emails. Ilene and Andres are so sweet and make the space so welcoming! Coffee and baked goods were great

Omg , I finally got a mommy day to myself and decided to come to 787 and did not disappoint!!
Alma was working the cashier, she was so sweet, nice , and super helpful. (Brownie point because she gave a new mommy a compliment)
I got a Coquito latte and it did was DELICIOUS !!! Lily Did her thing ! I was so tempted to take a coffee to go ❤️

Excellent place to work and coffee is great! Manuella was extremely helpful. Would come back again. There is wifi and bathroom!

I needed to burn sometime while waiting for a friend and I stumbled into the cutest cafe that serves Puerto Rican inspired coffee drinks. The girlies working the register were super sweet and fun. Not only are the vibes amazing but so is the coffee. Added bonus the iced version looks like an adult capri sun but with coffee. You should pop by!

wifi is not reliable. This is the second 787 that tries to upsell you more expensive coffee (Rum infused additional $3) without telling you it’s an additional fee. They offer it as if you have two options of coffee. Sketchy practice. I think this is how they train their employees as this is the second location using the same script. Good thing there are many other coffee shops to choose from. Last time here.

Great selection of coffees as well as diary milk alternatives like oat milk. Indoor and outdoor seating with free wifi. Service is also impeccable and so kind and considerate.

Perfect place to grab a coffee, study, or just relax. I spent about 3 hours here and never felt rushed to leave. Definitely a go-to cafe!

I have to give this place a 5 star for their wonderful service. I don’t recall the lady’s name, however she said she just started working at this location. she is absolutely the best. There’s so many options to choose from. Everything sounds good lol, so with her help, I tried a rum infused cold brew. Taste amazing. I paired this with their chicken empanada. Wasn’t much of a fan for the empanada but I will be back for more coffee. It has indoor and outdoor seating.

Horchata latte was phenomenal. Loved the vibes and the workers were lovely! Great environment for working.

Tres leches is delicious!!
I also tried dulce de leche latte and totally recommend (both with rum beans).

The chocolate cookie is insane.

This is a lovely coffee shop in NYC. Great vibe, wonderful and positive service, and I am happy it is on our neighborhood. The only issue I have noted is the the wifi available does not work well. Hopefully the glitch will be fixed!

Love studying here, always get the horchata latte and I don’t drink coffee much otherwise. There’s wifi + a spacious bathroom and staff are always kind

Lovely & popular neighborhood spot for coffee, pastry, and work. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon to do some work and were lots of customers in and out. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks, always willing to offer suggestions. I got the iced horchata latte and a guava pastry, which totaled to ~$15, a bit expensive for a coffee shop but worth the price. Café has a nice atmosphere with lots of natural light & is equipped with wifi, outlets, and a restroom. There’s also a neighborhood discount if you live or work in the area.

I've been to a few other 787 Coffee locations further downtown, but this one is my favorite so far for several reasons. It's a bit more chill and less cramped than some of the other locations, with three cafe tables, a big wooden table with chairs, a counter facing the street with stools-, and a couple of outdoor cafe tables--all of which are great for sitting down with a laptop. I have to work from coffee shops or I get distracted, but not all coffee shops are conducive to getting work done. This one has free wifi and water, electrical outlets, a clean and private bathroom, and zero attitude. As a result, I got lots of work done here. I ordered the Tres Leches Latte, which is my favorite cake and now it's my favorite kind of ice coffee. The barista, Guillermo, was super affable, quick, and fun to talk with. A lot of customers must be repeat customers since he greeted them by name and they him, so that gives you an idea of the neighborhood/friendly vibe of this place, and that people are clearly fans enough to keep coming back. It was such a positive experience, that I came back the next day, even though it's more than 30 blocks from my apartment. Glad to have found this place and will continue to go out of my way for it.

I was trying to get some work done during a weekday afternoon. Found this very interesting coffee joint at NYC. I was immediately greeted by Erica. Given it was my first time here, she took time and very nicely explained the different selections. Based on one of Erica's recommendation, I went for one of the most unique coffee experience I've had. It was an iced latte based on rum-infused beans with tres leche flavor. It was brewed by Guillermo who did a FANTASTIC job. Although I had this while sitting, the coffee came in a high-quality pouch, that one can also take on-the-go without worrying about it getting spilled. At some point when the counter was calm, Guillermo also served water to everyone in the cafe. This was very nice of him to do, especially when it was all super hot outside. This location additionally had wifi service and a restroom for its customers. 787 Coffee @ Lexington NYC and the fantastic team here have my HIGHEST recommendation!

Quincy is the best barista ever! She’s friendly, fast, and makes every drink perfect. She is a literal ray of sunshine. Highly recommend stopping by especially if Quincy is working!!

Emmanuela is a fantastic barista. Lovely atmosphere inside with good wifi. I recommend the iced Horchata latte with rum infused beans, 10/10

Jay has a great vibe and the space is very cozy and welcoming in a neighborhood where most cafes hate you if you walk in with a laptop. Bathrooms and outlets available. Coffee is pricey, but great.

Great little coffee spot! It's on a cute block with great service and delicious coffee. There's one big communal table and a bunch of smaller more personal tables to sit at and get work done. They also have wifi! Do yourself a favor and try their rum-infused cold brew!

Love 787 coffee. Have know of the coffee shops for like 7 years now and love to see how they expanded across the city. Typically I go for the coquito lates across various 787 locations and I feel like they are not consistent over the last year (not just in this spot out across different ones), so something must have changed with the mix because they are not as creamy and comes off too sweet or not tasting like coquito. Also - Is not a puerto rican coffee shop without Quesitos! is part of what makes the coffee shop unique and you can’t find it anywhere else in the city. Buying them was like a hidden gem. Bring them back please 🫶 Regardless, I’ll keep coming and bringing people around. Love the people working here, the atmosphere and its unique drinks. Keep it up!

787 Coffee is truly a hidden gem! The coffee is absolutely amazing—rich, smooth, and full of flavor, you can taste the quality in every sip. But what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It’s cozy, vibrant, and has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Whether you’re working, catching up with a friend, or just enjoying some alone time, it’s the perfect spot. I highly recommend visiting—it’s definitely worth the stop!

The good:
Service was polite, helpful, and kind.
The environment inside is super well laid out, with lots of variety in seating options (something I sometimes struggle to find in NYC coffee shops).
Aesthetically pleasing as well.
The not-so-good:
My latte wasn’t great… I think there is potential for it to be just from looking at the equipment they have, but my milk wasn’t steamed very well at all, and lacked the smooth, velvety texture I’m looking for in a latte. It was also oversteamed, giving the whole cup a slightly burnt taste. I can’t say if this is typical or maybe a newer person, or improperly trained person on the machine but I wouldn’t buy here again if I see the same person working the espresso end of things. $7 is simply too much for a coffee that isn’t made properly.

Free wifi is such a rarity here. Ordered the coquito latte which was a coconutty condensed milky nutmeggy iced latte truly amazing. I got my drink in a little plastic bag which was interesting to say the least. Good music playing inside. About to be my most productive self hopefully.

Coffee is good. It’s $7 for an oat milk latte, so quite expensive but the barista seemed knowledgeable. Has wifi and plus for working, and a bathroom but wasn’t working when I was there!

This café is absolutely incredible! The service is outstanding — the two ladies working there were warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about their craft. They even took the time to share details about the Puerto Rican coffee beans they use, which made the experience feel extra special. The café itself is cozy and the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. I had a cortado, and it was exceptional — one of the best I’ve had! I highly recommend this place to any coffee lover.

Manuela, Ilene are the absolute sweetest. They really prioritize their customers making sure that we’re in good hands and always check up on us. Even offered us water while working. This place is honestly perfect like I’m not sure how else to explain it. Also recommend their iced chai latte 🙌.

Overall great coffee and great bites! Each location is so consistent and unique to its own. They have porch tables and chairs out front to sit and enjoy. Seating inside for WFH days with good wifi too. The staff is always so happy and helpful, truly passionate about their coffee and brand!

My first time trying 787 coffee at the 27th & Lex location! Tried the rum horchata oat latte! soooo fragrant & lovely! Also appreciate that they have plugs & wifi!

Great neighborhood coffee spot close to my apt perfect for small bites and working remote. Fast wifi and amazing service. The rum-infused oat latte has always been my fave.

Stepped in for a coffee, only to be greeted by the most friendliest service. Absolutely loved my rum infused dirty chai Latte. The place itself is great for working and just chill hang outs. windows looking outside to the street and sitting options also outside. Great background music in the cafe. The walnut banana bread is a must try.

Love this spot!! Miguel the barista is amazing. He’s friendly, kind, hard-working. I’d come back anytime. The price for coffee is a bit high I will say! But the service is great and atmosphere is pleasant

Jay was super friendly and nice! Latte was also delicious with perfect amount of foam. Would def recommend working or studying at this location. Music isnt loud and its a cozy environment!!

I've stopped by a couple of times, and it's always recommendable. Their specialty coffee is amazing, and they kindly and properly guide you through their selections and signature drinks.
They also allow working on laptops, and they were super attentive and nice. Not sure they have GF options, foid-wise, though. But will come back for sure!

I really like their coffee!! Some unique and amazing flavors. The special beans are $$$ - I once got charged $13 for a specialty iced latte by saying yes to all the add ons they try to push and I certainly never made that mistake again. Definitely pricey so I can only go here once in a while. This location is a little loud and I find it hard to do work here, but other locations are great for working and play music at quieter levels.

Love this spot! the two girls that were working here were so lovely and welcoming, and their empanadas are fire. They have cute tables and chairs outside to sit in the sun and enjoy. Def a neighborhood gem
