787 Coffee

787 is consistently the best tasting coffee that has locations all across NYC. They also have some really unique flavored beans (Rum is fantastic). The staff is always super chill and friendly, and the spaces are easy to hangout and get some laptop work done or chat with friends. Overall I can only say good things about 787!

This cafe is so lovely! I came here to get some work done as recommended from a friend and really enjoyed the vibe—it’s cozy and the owner very welcoming.

I ordered a quesito pastry (which was really good!) and some tea. The wifi works very well and loved the music!

The wall window had some fun swings as chairs and there was outdoor seating as well.

This café is amazing. You can smell and choose the coffee variety. The quality is excellent. You can also work on your laptop here. The staff's attitude is incredible. I felt right at home.

First time at 787 Coffee Co. Wanted to get out of my apt for a bit and wanted a spot to read some emails. Tarell took my order, even asking if it was my first time. They gave me a brief history of the company and pointed out some specialty roasts, Whiskey, Rum and Supremo. I got a mocha with the specialty Whiskey roast beans with oat milk. For someone who doesn't drink coffee regularly, my mocha was nice and smooth. Loved the music, which was pop dance mixes and they had free wifi that's password protected. They have pastries and fresh baked empanadas, but I didn't eat today. Glad I found this place.

Vibe coffee shop. It’s surprising that it’s a chain! This location is really nice with 1 big table + 2 small ones. wifi. Great coffee selection and speciality beans. Bathroom inside. Great place to work. Pricier - but high quality. Some light food options including empanadas and banana bread. Locally sourced from a farm in PR. Several little pups come inside & it’s quite cute

787 Coffee has a really nice vibe and ambience. It’s a great place to sit down, go on my computer, and do work! Small space but comfortable. The baristas are really nice and gives out recommendations — I came here for the first time and they were very welcoming and recommended their horchata rum flavoring (non-alcoholic) and their empanadas. Their empanadas were warm, fresh, and tasty! Coffee is also pretty good and I really like the rich and natural flavor! There’s free wifi, outlets, and also a restroom!

Such a cute find! Lovely staff and unique products ! They even have wifi and PowerPoints! Had an oat horchata cortado and the staff creates their own amazing stickers

Good wifi and atmosphere, pretty small but that’s nyc. Got the flat white with oat milk ($6.75) and enjoyed it!

I realize I didn’t even ask for whole milk, yet the employee working (Pedro) was kind enough to ask and remind me in the middle of a busy shift. He is a keeper, amazing employee and inspires me to do better in my own life!

Such a charming place! I had been to other locations before and needed a place to wait before my trip. The staff (Issa in particular) was helpful and friendly—the ambiance was perfect for working and chatting over coffee! Their empanadas are simple but super filling and tasty, I found myself sheepishly going back up to the counter for a second after underestimating their craving quality. Will go again!

looooved it here. Amilo was very hospitable, coffee was great, they have wifi and a washroom for anyone wondering. very cute and quaint outdoor seating :)

My husband and I were visiting NYC for the weekend and were on the hunt for good coffee and a pastry to accompany us on our walk throughout the city. We made a beeline to 787 Coffee after reading the reviews, and let me tell you — the reviews DID NOT LIE. This coffee shop was FAN-FRIGGEN-TASTIC!!!! My husband ordered the Rumquito latte and I ordered the Dulce de Leche latte (both with whole milk) and enjoyed them at the tables out front. Both beverages were absolutely delightful and far exceeded my expectations. The Dulce de Leche latte had the perfect level of sweetness and the Rumquito latte had bits of coconut in it that really enhanced the drink. We also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and the chocolate concha and they were also fantastic (I’ll be dreaming about that chocolate chip cookie for a while —DO YOU SEE THOSE CHOCOLATE CHIPS?!)! The woman working behind the counter was SO KIND and helpful and made us feel right at home! You can tell just how much love goes into the shop and every beverage produced. Do yourself a favor and stop by 787 for a delicious cup of Puerto Rican coffee the next time you’re in this neighborhood (heck even if you’re not in the neighborhood, it’s worth going out of the way for it). This coffee shop was by far one of the highlights of our trip and I can’t wait to return next time we’re in NYC!

This place is awesome - Not just good coffee, but such a lovely, welcoming, anti-capitalist vibe. Just did a bunch of laptop work and met a ton of cool people there. Great barista... Makes NYC a little bit better. Great escape from the icy snow.

Sydney was awesome. Rad chick to be working Christmas. She deserves a raise. I dunno about the music you guys might wanna roll with some classic rock over Mexican techno but hell I’m from the 70’s. Love the place I rip through a lot when I’m in town.

Absolutely lovely staff, great coffee, awesome ambiance, and the empanada I tried (spinach & cheese) was yummy too! They have wifi so decent place to bring your laptop to (though the space is small)

Great place to grab a coffee or a tea and hang out. There’s outdoor seating in addition to the indoors, and theres wifi and outlets if you want to get some work done. Chill atmosphere - Terrell is very friendly and courteous to all the customers. Also, the drinks can come in a big juice pack, which is fun if you’re taking to go

Love coming here!!! The barista was so nice and when I wanted to switch up my order recommended the Coquito Latte which was so good and def will be my new go to! Cute vibe and can def bring a laptop and do work or hang w friends.

Oh my god this is the best coffee I have ever had the pleasure of setting my delectable tastebuds onto. Whoever was working the front either Danny or Daniel was the best barista in nyc! She definitely knew what she was talking about when recommending the dulce de leche iced latte! 10/10 coming back again!

Hibiscus sweet tea on a warm day hits the spot. Great spot with neighborhood locals vibe. Small space but communal table and wifi for working and a few patio tables to enjoy the weather.

My friend and I are just visiting and needed a place to chill before our train. Best place for a quick coffee and plenty of couches and comfy chairs. Free wifi! Dani treated us so well. Order the Horchata Latte!!

i absolutely loved coming here! the baristas michael and zoey were so kind and helpful. while the space to sit and do work is a bit small, they made sure me and my friend were comfortable, showed us where the outlets were and gave us the wifi without us even having to ask! will definitely be back :)

Update: Just got a reply 2 years after my visit. Must be an auto AI reply. That is so sad. Talks about coffee beans forever in the reply, but I stated I got the chai. May be hard working people flying to PR to get coffee beans, but those of us that don’t drink coffee and try the chai don’t appreciate this late, AI slop of a response.

i've been to the other location in the East Village...this is my first visit to the East 7th Street and much like the other location...it doesn't disappoint. 787 Coffee serves up farm to cup coffee--from Puerto Rico's rich fields to your hands via expert roasting and brewing by the 787 team. 787 Coffee is a local NYC coffee chain with a number of locations in NYC.

the interior space is small, clean, and well-organized from the coffee additives to the stirrers, napkins, etc. there are a several tables outside as social distancing measures are still in effect this month. there is wifi available for those who need access to the interwebz.

the coffee? excellent. i finally tried an Americano with rum-infused coffee and it was delicious, aromatic, and full of rich vibrancy from first hot sip to the last warm drops. highly, recommend taking a shot on this coffee as it is unique with a coffee smooth finish.

the staff is upbeat. the vibe is friendly. your drinks and service isn't rushed. the staff takes their time to make your coffee memorable.

i am no longer an every day coffee drinker by choice, but the coffee at 787 makes me want to reconsider that life decision...ha!

This is a spot worth coming back to. Vibes are right, decor is beautiful and theres wifi if you want to sit a get some work done while sipping on good flavoured coffee.
