Sweet Sundays - Beverley

I had been hearing great things about Sweet Sundays, so I decided to stop by before catching a flight... so glad I did. My Sister and little one ended up dining in since there was an open table. The space is on the smaller side; a few people working on laptops and iPads. Seating is a bit limited, but intimate and laid-back vibe.

We ordered two bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, a flatbread pizza, two strawberry lemonades, and a crema matcha. Everything was delicious! The matcha was hands down one of the best I’ve had in a long time....so good that my three-year-old drank half of it. The food came out hot and fresh. The bacon, egg, and cheese was paired with the hot sauce on the side... Chief's kiss. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. I will definitely be coming back for more.

I’m visiting New York from Dallas, Texas, and I stumbled upon this coffee shop while strolling down the street. I’m so glad I decided to step inside! This has truly been one of the best experiences I’ve had. I ordered the chai latte, and it was by far the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the ambiance was just perfect.

This place is ideal for enjoying a delightful drink and delicious food, whether you're working or catching up with friends. I can’t wait to come back on my next trip to New York! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a coffee shop with a calm atmosphere and tasty bites and drinks, I highly recommend this one! Plus, it's Black-owned, which is an added bonus. It’s fantastic to support local businesses that are professional and do an outstanding job!

Ok now to list my own personal feelings as notes to myself otherwise I will order the same thing every single time…

mango rose… well sadly they didn’t have lemonade or iced tea but then I heard them offering iced tea to people after me which was sort of a personal bummer. I got 0% rose taste 100% mango. It tasted… fine but the syrup gave me a stomach ache… Prob would not try again.

Chicken cutlet sandwich was p good in of itself. Bread was p good which usually I don’t care for. I really did not care for the fries or hot sauce.

Kind of an overwhelming space (sat in the window opposite the register) and huge variety in temperature. Note to self to NEVER come on a weekend — Monday was bad enough.

I do want to come back and try again! Maybe a dirty chai latte ….

I ate here multiple times while staying in the area and everything I tried was so delicious that I had to write a review to support them. I highly recommend the bacon egg and cheese, as well as the salmon avocado toast and the chopped cheese. The people working there were always friendly. If you're thinking about eating here, just go.

This is one of my new fav neighborhood cafes. The menu items are super tasty. I can tell the chef took his time. I ordered the avocado toast and Belgian waffle and I have to say the waffle is very soft and not too sweet. The avocado toast was also seasoned to perfection, I Recommend adding an egg for extra protein. The staff are also very friendly and there’s free wifi in case you’d like to work from home or study.

Cute cafe with lovely employees! I’m slowly working my way through the menu. Most recently, I tried the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and … 🙌🏽. Some places just throw bacon, egg, and cheese on some bread and call it a day, but not here. This sandwich was made with love (and seasoning). Quality food and atmosphere.

Lovely little cafe with strong wifi and friendly people! Prices are extraordinarily reasonable considering the quality - had the BEST matcha (way better than half those manhattan spots!) and a perfect little custard tart :) Clean, comfortable, quiet but lively place. Would recommend for anybody, anytime!

EDIT: They've since added a counter with some chairs and installed A/C which I'm sure will be super appreciated come summertime. Ive also tried the food since and it's just as good as the drinks and pastries, especially the turkey croque monsieur. Glad to see them getting into the groove of things!

It is SO REFRESHING to have some variety in the neighborhood. The employees are so sweet and very honest about still experimenting and trying new things out. I got a free sample of a matcha with lavender so they could get my feedback, same with the iced chai I ordered. They're still working on finishing the inside up with seating options but they literally just started so I don't fault them for that. It's so nice having a non big chain cafe around the corner!

Amazing Croque Madame, coffee and tea options! They serve breakfast till late. They are friendly and the space is so peaceful, excellent for working remotely. I'm a new regular here.

Omg the chai latte was delicious! Chill astethic. Great workplace, especially for laptop users.

Sweet Sunday has a very small menu—it’s more of a coffee and light snack shop than a full restaurant. They serve waffles, but surprisingly they don’t come with butter. There isn’t any host or seating service, so you just walk in and find an available table yourself.

I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for a full meal. However, it’s a nice spot if you want to grab a coffee, have a light bite, and get some work done on your laptop. The atmosphere is better suited for relaxing or working than dining.
