In a chaotic, fast-paced, and noisy city like New York, this place is honestly a calm and quiet coffee shop with a really nice vibe. I got a caramel latte, but I wouldn’t hype up their coffee too much it was average, maybe even slightly below average for me. However, it’s definitely a great spot for anyone who wants to bring their laptop and get some work done

Bedford Studio is a great combo of coffee shop and workspace. You can work there for $10/day or $30/month, with unlimited, fast wifi, plus discounts on drinks and pastries a nice bonus

I got a cappuccino and worked from 9am to 3pm super productive setup. The music can be a bit loud at times, but overall it’s still a great spot to get work done

Definitely considering the monthly membership

we hosted an event here for national dry shampoo day and it was the perfect space! loved working with the Bedford Studio team to create an intentional, intimate community event.

Bedford Studio is the place to be! As a matcha enthusiast I am absolutely obsessed with their fall menu as well as their mango, strawberry and blueberry matcha. If you have a brand you need to host your next pop up here. I hosted a gifting suite during NYFW and the ambiance, staff and aesthetics were perfect. Bedford is also my go to for working remotely. Check them out next time you're in the West Village, you won't regret it!

cute spot for getting work done & high quality matcha! it’s a cozy spot with tables/chairs/pillows/outlets for working & they have a seasonal rotating menu of really good matcha and coffee!

I love Bedford studio!!! Their staff is so wonderful. Their drinks and food are fresh and taste fresh and real. The atmosphere is always lovely and comforting with lots of people chatting, working or enjoying their day.

📍bedford studio

i literally cannot walk pass this cafe without getting in 〰️ the decor is so cute, colorful yet minimal. laptop is allowed only for members. there is wifi, many tables, restroom, wide menu of coffee and pastry, and the vibe here is so calm. would not coming here for work but for relaxing.

aditi sharma26.09.2026

Nice cosy cafe but would have appreciated if they had a sign outside saying they only allow you to use your laptop if you purchase the day pass. I’d wanted to do some work for an hour while I had coffee so the day pass doesn’t really make sense for someone coming in for a short duration.

This is one of my favorite places I’ve found in NYC. ✨ it’s a co-working space + coffee shop.

It cost $10 per day to work on your laptop, but if you order a coffee you are welcome to sit for free (and work from your phone hehe).

The coffee was delicious and so was the gluten free vegan donut!🍩

My favorite part of the place was the sense of community. People were chatting and getting to know each other. Many it seemed had just moved to the city. 🥹

The interior design is beautiful and the mission behind the space shines through in every detail. ☀️

If you want to host an event here, I’d say the space holds 10-20 people, and their pricing is incredible for nyc. 🥂

Lovely drinks, snacks and atmosphere. Really relaxed and perfect for co-working. We’ve also hosted an after hours event there and I can safely say it’s a gorgeous spot. Our guests were so happy!

I was glad to find a co-working space here, but my experience was disappointing.

While working, I saw a woman (woman on the right in below pic) ask a polite gentleman to share his table. Once seated, she rudely demanded he move his laptop and clean the table for her. He left after 20 minutes, visibly frustrated, while she took over his space with a smug smile—likely a tactic she uses often.

She then began harassing me, repeatedly bumping my table as she walked by. When I politely asked her to stop, she aggressively told me to leave and give my table to her friend. It became clear they were deliberately driving people away to claim tables for themselves.

After that experience, I decided not to return. I urge the owner to establish rules against disruptive behavior and consider raising the pass price to attract professionals rather than students who treat the space like a dining hall. WV residents value a respectful and peaceful work environment, not one overrun by aggressive and inconsiderate individuals.

Amazing cafe, incredible co-working space and so rare to find delicious gluten free, vegan, refined sugar free treats! They have Superfood City cookies, muffins, brownies and donuts. My fav order is an almond milk latte with a banana donut. Also a major plus - super clean and cute bathroom (another rare find in NYC).

I was really disappointed with Bedford Studio in the West Village. I came here hoping to use a day pass for $10 to get some work done, you can use it for free if you buy a drink but what they advertise is not what you actually get. The space is extremely small, cramped, and honestly not set up as a good environment for working at all. The staff wasn’t welcoming or helpful either, which made the experience even worse. Overall, this place is not meant for coworking totally, misleading in its advertising, and not somewhere I’d recommend if you’re looking for a productive workspace.

Katy Fonseca26.09.2026

Such a cozy spot to grab a coffee and get creative. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and the perfect place to sit down with a laptop.

Sarah Wragge Wellness26.09.2026

We had the absolute pleasure of partnering with Bedford Studio for a recent pop-up, and the experience was nothing short of amazing! The atmosphere is beautifully curated — equal parts inspiring and welcoming — and the staff couldn’t have been more kind or accommodating. Their coffee is phenomenal (seriously, some of the best we’ve had), and they were incredibly collaborative and adaptive when we created a custom drink together.

The space itself is genius — it’s like a chic, community-driven Wework where you can settle in with your laptop and get things done in a vibrant, creative setting. Whether you’re looking to partner for an event or just grab a great cup of coffee, Bedford Studio is a 10/10 recommendation from us!

Keshav Gupta26.09.2026

Save yourself the time and the overpriced latte money, go literally anywhere else. This café might look like the perfect place to work, but apparently your laptop is only welcome if you pay rent by the day. I bought multiple drinks (none of them cheap), and the baristas themselves apologized for their own ridiculous “pay to work” policy. Imagine building such a nice space just to chase away the people who’d actually enjoy spending time there. Brilliant business move, really.

Small suggestion: maybe put up a big sign about this policy next time and save everyone the confusion (and the eye rolls).

Lauren Denowitz26.09.2026

My favorite place to get work done. It’s a small, cozy space that serves great coffee and feels very community-oriented, from the events they host to the general vibe and aesthetic they’ve curated. Membership for a month is $30, and so worth it IMO— enables you the ability to work on a laptop there whenever, and gets you 10% discount on all purchases. Love this spot 💕

This review is meant for Bedford as a coworking space. First of all you pay 10 bucks for the privilege of opening a laptop. I don't mind that as long as they allow you to use the space as a coworking space. We came here on a Sunday, and it got pretty crowded. My wife and I were sitting on two different tables since the tables are cozy and I have a big laptop.

- We left our laptops for getting brunch, and the staff complained that we're not allowed to do that. So again is it a coworking space or a coffee shop?

- We had to take a video call so I moved into my wife's table for 10 mins. One disgruntled customer complained that we are occupying two tables. Dude we paid for two people and should be allowed to use two tables. Anyways, the hostess came in and asked me to move with my wife. I hesitantly did, but after 2 mins decided to get out with all the space crunch, crowded space, and multiple dogs barking. The hostess offered us a complimentary drink for annoying us. Well I would love my 20 bucks back.

Overall a pretty bad experience, and would be the last time we go there. What a time and money waste!!!!!!

Marc Harrod26.09.2026

Paid over $50 for 4 specialty hot drinks tipped 22 % then was told I had to pay $10 for wifi. My daughter pulled out her laptop to check work emails without paying was told she couldn't do that. The hot chocolate was terrible other drinks were fine.

Melissa Smith26.09.2026

Bedford is one of my favorite places to bring my laptop and do some work. The staff is friendly and the iced strawberry matcha is yummy on a warm summer day.

Suzy Chase Osborne26.09.2026

Bedford Studio is an absolute gem tucked away on the cutest street in the West Village. The ambiance is ideal for both relaxing and working, with comfortable seating and a full menu of healthy treats, coffee + teas. Bonus, it's the perfect spot to host your private event.

Shreya Bakliwal26.09.2026

It’s a good spot in the West Village.

However, I’ll say that co-working with coffee in one of the prime areas of Manhattan is a terribly bad idea.

I went here with my husband and we each paid 10 dollars to work on our laptops. Ideally, we should be given a table each given their table sizes are super small.

We stepped out for a few mins as we had to take a joint call urgently. Upon being back, the hostess asked me to move my husband to my table, as we were taking up “too much space.” I said okay, let me check with him and I went to the restroom. While I was in there, she couldn't wait for 2 mins and went immediately to my husband and moved him to my table! WHO DOES THAT? On top of that, the hostess offered us a FREE COFFEE (do we look like poor people waiting to get free food?)! What is too much space if both our laptops don’t fit on a small table? The demeanor of the hostess was terrible, so much so that we had to leave the spot immediately. We felt humiliated!

NOTHING BEATS HOSPITALITY AND KINDNESS - NOT THE EXTRA MERCH, NOT AN EXTRA SPRING MENU. :)

Guys, if it’s a co-working space:
1) It can’t be noisy
2) People want their space
3) Being able to work in a sound environment (and not free coffee) is of primary importance!

Either be a coffee shop or a co-working space. Don’t mix the two, don’t be selfish!

Lost 2 regular customers for 1 annoying customer who wanted a full table to herself (which is what my husband and I wanted too and paid for). BTW, we came in very early in the morning and paid our dues, this new customer entered post lunch time! :)

Also, there is NO FOOD (only bakery stuff), so if you feel hungry, you have to step out. If you are paying 10 bucks, it is useless because when you are back, the hosts will either force you to share your table with a random stranger or your place would be taken up by someone else or the environment would be so hostile that you'd want to leave yourself. People here are always looking to get better tables..There must be 4-5 in all given the small space!

This beautiful coffee shop and event space has brightened the West Village with its fantastic ambience, creative coffee and tea beverages, and wonderful service. They offer space to read and hang out or to sign up as a member to work for as long as you like on your laptop and gain access to incredible member events like equinox classes, meditation sessions, professional life coaching, art history talks, matcha tasting, and more. Each season they offer a new set of creative beverages like rose cardamom latte, lavender matcha, pumpkin spice and gingerbread lattes, and more. The owner is incredibly involved and wonderful to work with, and really cares about every last detail in the shop- and it shows! Its the perfect spot for coffee and/or for an event space after hours. Beautiful clean bathroom too. Easy 5 stars!

I have been multiple times to this lovely coffee shop. The atmosphere is exactly what you need for a chat with friends but also to work - there is a subscription to access the wifi and you get a discount on drink. I was on holiday so didn't need that service but if I was working, I would definitely considered the subscription and went there every day to work with my laptop!

Everyone is respectful of each other, the seats are cosy with beautiful linen cushions. There's also a charming green couch for groups.

In term of beverages, I tasted the iced peppermint tea - 100% recommend!

Kyle Kilmetis26.09.2026

Excellent environment to use as an alternative to working from home that is a modernized and refreshing remodel of a social work space. Calm and friendly atmosphere has great vibes, perfect for a productive work day. Quality coffee brews/ food selection and attentive staff kept me focused and energized through the day and the cool/niche group clientele, who were also working remotely at the studio, made for interesting and gratifying social interactions when I took breaks from my work. Bedford Studios offers daily rates (which I tried initially while getting a feel for it) but also membership opportunities (which I am now happily a part of). Highly recommend for anyone cooped up/stir crazy/bored of working from home in their apartments.

Sarah Katers26.09.2026

Super friendly and welcoming environment, love the membership for laptop work at a very affordable rate. Will be returning during the week for work! And will be returning for the fun pop ups on the weekend!

Eddie Mitsou Pettersson26.09.2026

I came in after finding your coffee shop on Google as a co-working space this morning when I was in between meetings. I had 3% battery on my phone and was in desperate need for power and needed to send off some emails with tight deadline. Upon ordering the coffee the barista told me I had to pay a $10 fee in order to use my laptop. Since I was only going to be there for 30 min (I had my next meeting right after) I asked if she could please, please make an exception, since I really needed to charge my phone, send a couple of emails but would be leaving 30 min later. She refused, and said it was the policy.

I understand the concept of charging for a day, and I support it 100%, but if I small business founder comes in and explains the urgency and wants to buy a $8 coffee, I think you should have a bit more compassion. Doesn't feel like this is the type of community you were originally looking to create.

Zolaikha Freidah26.09.2026

Amazing coffee shop and co-working space! Love their seasonal drinks and unmatched energy - located on picturesque Bedford Street, you feel like you're in a movie about NYC :). Great place to work.

Christopher Fast26.09.2026

I can't express how much I adore Bedford Studio! This charming co-working coffee spot nestled in the heart of the West Village has truly won me over in every possible way.

Let's start with the coffee - it's nothing short of exceptional. As a coffee enthusiast, I can be quite particular about my brew, and Bedford Studio consistently delivers a rich, aromatic experience that's second to none. Whether you're in the mood for a classic coffee or something more adventurous like their specialty lattes, every sip is a delightful journey for your taste buds. The beans they use are clearly top-notch, and the skilled baristas craft each cup with precision and care.

Service here is impeccable. The staff at Bedford Studio are some of the friendliest and most welcoming folks I've encountered. They're not just efficient but genuinely passionate about ensuring your visit is memorable. From remembering your name and preferred coffee order to offering warm smiles and helpful suggestions, they make you feel like part of their extended family. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart.

I attended one of their membership events and had so much fun. Bedford Studio takes co-working to the next level. From networking mixers and exclusive discounts, there's always something intriguing happening here. It's a fantastic way to connect with like-minded individuals, expand your horizons, and grow both personally and professionally. The sense of community fostered by these events is truly special, and it's evident that Bedford Studio is committed to creating a space where members can thrive.

In summary, Bedford Studio is a five-star gem in the West Village. Outstanding coffee, exceptional service, and awesome merch make this place a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to work, want to savor artisanal coffee, or seek a place to engage with inspiring individuals, Bedford Studio has it all. I couldn't be happier with my experience, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for the future!

Michaela J26.09.2026

I was super excited to check out this new-ish coffee shop right around the corner from my apartment and was even contemplating a membership for their coworking space. But that idea was decisively rejected when I dropped by and saw that it only has space for about five to six people. I came in at 3:30 on a Monday and there was only one spot left--which was stolen by someone behind me in line as I waited for the single barista working to finish with the customer in front of me. Not quite sure how they can sell coworking memberships in good faith when there's so little space. The drinks looked good and the space was cute, but if I'm going to pay $6.25 for a no-name chai latte, it's going to be someplace I can sit down.

Kitty S26.09.2026

Went to get coffee and got yelled at by a woman (a customer), who seems to be working there with her laptop. She yelled at me for not closing the door completely. So weird and rude, and the staff didn’t say anything to stop that customer from yelling.

Mark Frank26.09.2026

Very cozy, not too busy yet, and the cold brew and iced lattes are delicious. The pastries are store-bought, they’re just ok. They have books and papers to read while you sit. They offer monthly memberships if you want to work from the coffeeshop. I think you have to be a member in order to use a laptop in the coffeeshop.

Hannah Engel26.09.2026

Great for working from home and the drinks are amazing!

St L26.09.2026

Great coffee shop that is laptop friendly from what I saw. Wish they had unsweetened nut milk! Super nice place and the AC was a nice touch 😀

Rachel Li26.09.2026

I’d really love to keep this place to myself but also feels like a disservice not to share:). Perfect spot for working from “home”, amazing location and vibes, would for sure stay a regular (as long as I can still find a table).

Vivian Li26.09.2026

delightful, charming neighborhood cafe. we loved going there to chat - saw plenty of other folks working on their laptops or reading. a wonderful place to idle away : )

Liz Carney26.09.2026

Having to pay $10 to use your laptop after already purchasing a drink is diabolical. Absolutely not.

Catherine26.09.2026

Amazing coffee shop and working space! So peaceful and the staff are so lovely, especially the Aussie gir!! Highly recommend

QUEEN UNIKUE26.09.2026

THEY CHARGE YOU TO TAKE OUT YOUR OWN laptop TO work ON AS IF NYC IS NOT ALREADY EXPENSIVE AS EVER THIS TAKES THE CAKE AT ROBBING PETER TO PAY PAUL‼️👎🏾

Kristen Kerr26.09.2026

Such a cute spot, great for co-working or a quick coffee with a friend!

J H26.09.2026

Let us pay for $10 coffee and later informed us that there was a "membership fee" of $10/day for using a laptop in the coffee shop.

Stuckup new yorkers stay away.

Heather Wagner26.09.2026

Great espresso and tea, cozy & chic co-working space, excellent service and awesome people. ♥️

Kari Dowiak26.09.2026

Insane to me that you have to pay $10 for the wifi password, even after purchasing beverages.

Jonathan Ruben26.09.2026

Great spot, great vibes and best staff. Perfect for working and casual hangouts.

Harry Mack26.09.2026

They charge you a monthly membership to even take out your laptop once. Who does that? What year is it? I wanna go back to before

Amy Nguyen26.09.2026

I was really excited to try this coffee shop after seeing all the great reviews. The shop itself is super cute and a great place to work, but unfortunately the customer service on our first visit wasn’t the best.

My boyfriend accidentally misheard the barista when she was explaining the laptop policy, and she responded with a very hostile attitude, almost like he was trying to get out of paying. He kindly apologized for mishearing her and still purchased the daily pass regardless, so the reaction just felt unnecessary. Maybe she was having a bad morning, but a kind response would have gone a long way. Sadly, it definitely made the experience less enjoyable and doesn’t make me want to come back.

Haluk Senlik26.09.2026

Was using my laptop outside and they still asked us to leave, as if the sidewalk belongs to them. Wouldn’t recommend coming

Sahana Mehta26.09.2026

I genuinely like working here but I feel like if you’re going to charge an additional $10 for me to use my laptop in a cafe, they should offer drinks made with fresh ingredients. For example, the passion fruit matcha uses Monin syrups instead of fresh ingredients. Please make the change to fully fresh ingredients so I can feel great coming and enjoying the drinks and the atmosphere!
