This coffee shop is exactly what Prospect Heights needed. It's big, bustling, and there's always ample seating among the laptop workers and friend groups chit chatting. I wouldn't call the ambiance cozy per se, but it's just comfortable enough to enjoy a cup of coffee and move on with your day. We recently discovered the Yemeni coffee service which is absolutely delicious. We ordered the one that comes with evaporated milk and it was truly one of the tastiest coffees I've ever had. Treat yourself to a pot of it with a friend and you won't be disappointed. I haven't tried the pastries but I've overheard them saying how they bake them in-house every morning, so that's a good sign!

Plenty of seating in this café, humorous and friendly team, and great food! Lots of space to do work with laptops, and they have free wifi. It was pretty busy on Saturday afternoon but we managed to find a table. The chai was quite creamy, and my friend mentioned that it overpowered the flavours of the tea which I agreed with! I liked the eggs benedict but the real star here is their shakshouka - one of the bests I’ve ever had.

Love this place. Oat milk and syrup were free! Prices for food aren’t crazy, food is good, coffee is good, great ambiance, free water and wifi. I choose this place over others closer by.

Came here to meet a friend and do some studying and it was WONDERFUL! Prices are kind of aligned with the overall state of the city/fiscal environment we’re in these days, so people leaving shitty 1 stars about that surely should use their time more wisely.

Onwards! This shop has such a great atmosphere. All staff was friendly!! Fellow patrons interacted with were also friendly! Manners go far and I think a lot of New Yorkers forget that. Food was delicious and well portioned. Flat white: ALSO delicious. Was too hungry to think of photo taking. Oops. Also, yes, Yemeni coffee. Not that I’d know what it tastes like in a blind taste test. All I know is my drink was DELICIOUS.

Yes, there were a lot of patrons studying/working, but still ample enough space for non laptoppers. People find the weirdest things to whine and moan about, it’s wild.

Banging Arabic playlist (Sherine, Amr Diab, AND Saint Levant in the span of an hour?? be still my beating heart and shaking shoulders!). It’s not blasting so you can still converse at a humanly decibel with your friends or neighbors. It also wasn’t playing non stop so there WERE blocks of just silence and no music (to which, I personally, wanted the music back on bc it was so good). People were respectful of space and noise.

Do I HAVE to find something to nitpick? I’d say add some wall hooks? I felt so bad having my huge puffer coat on the space of the bench seats next to me but there was really no place else to put it. Besides that, I can’t wait to go back and I hope this place expands to Queens. Particularly near enough to me but not in my neighborhood bc surely it will not be used as intended!! Can’t wait to come back here.

Very nice ambiance and staff. Got an iced matcha latte and loved it. Lots of space and seating in the inside + free wifi.

This cafe is so awesome. This cafe opens till lateish, has wifi, lots of seating, and it’s a great addition to the neighborhood. The staff are very friendly, and also the food and drinks are tasty too. The cafe has lots of Yemeni specialties, and you can order a pot of Yemeni chai for around $10 and share it with friends. The cafe is also work friendly, and the cafe will definitely go into my dissertation acknowledgements because I’ve done so much of my writing here.

one of my all time favvoorrrittteeee coffee shops!!! it has such amazing drinks and the chai latte is so decadent its insane !!! the coffee is really great here as well, along with the food. there is plenty of seating so it makes a great spot for working or get togethers !

I ADORE this place. Either to do work or make a pit stop for coffee as I walk to the park. Every single time (without fail) the people working here are full of smiles and just a joy to start the morning. Most recently I stopped in during the afternoon to get one of their refreshers and the young girl noticed I was pregnant and gave me a large because it was hot outside. I just thought that was so kind. I come in pretty regularly regardless but would certainly keep coming in to give them business. 10/10 you won’t be disappointed.

I happened to get a coffee here a couple weeks ago and it is now my favorite place! The coffee is great. The treats like brownies, banana pudding and cookies are a bit unique and delicious. The food is also so good! Everything I’ve had has been amazing. Anisa is typically there working with a smile and great attitude and between her and the coffee - it makes my day !

Wonderful spot, I appreciate that they're open late. The service was fantastic, the gentleman working was clearly passionate about his work and we learned a lot about Yemeni coffee and tea. The traditional honeycomb pastry and the sambosa are excellent, as is the Chai. Highly recommend!

Stopped by this new coffee shop shortly after their grand opening, and it’s going to be my new go-to in the neighborhood! They were giving out samples so I got to try some of the different pastries (highly recommend the honeycomb) and the Yemeni coffee which were all great. Got my drink to go (an excellent dirty chai) but will bring my laptop next time. This would be a perfect spot to spend an afternoon working.

Fantastic place. Gem in the neighborhood. Docking one point because though I understand there is an argument for up charging on coffee because there is a level of craft to it, overcharging for things like a cup of tea just feels nonsensical. A cup of plain, hot tea should not be $5+. If you’re worried about prices overall, give people wifi codes that expire after 3 hours so they have to buy something else and don’t take up your seats and only buy one drink. Don’t supercharge up front.

Unfortunately this is a place to sit for hours with a laptop but not a place to just get some coffee to go.

The Yemeni Coffee, which I confused based on it's price similarity to a Pour Over on their menu, actually comes as a drip coffee made in a large batch. It's also so light and flavorless my wife thought it might be tea by accident. They keep the coffee at what certainly feels like some molten-level which doesn't help either. It's impossible to hold it in the cup and was even painful with a cardboard ring.

Did I mention it's the cheapest coffee on the menu and it cost $7 with tax for a 12oz drip? I don't mind paying $9 for real, small batch, pour over at Coffee Project or Blue Bottle, but this is just low quality coffee priced to offset laptop workers. It's certainly both too hot and too batched to enjoy any nuance in the blend (if it exists).

EDIT: Bump up one star for a nice response from management and I'll give their response information the benefit of the doubt because I don't want them to fail. But at the same time, give us non-laptopers a good reason to grab a coffee to go.

Food, coffee, and service are great, however they desperately need a wifi extender / booster. It’s superrr slow which is quite frustrating while trying to get work done. Overall an excellent addition to the neighborhood. Açaí bowls, and bagels that compete would be a nice touch too

Lovely cafe with great Yemeni coffee. Good wifi, perfect for working during a quiet day of writing/catching up without meetings.

Coffee and teas as well as pastries are amazing. My only complaint is that there are too many tables with laptops. Maybe all the laptop users can share tables?

The reviews seem fake. The place is very dirty, smells bad, and is uncomfortably hot because the air conditioning was not working. It is also extremely overpriced—I paid $9 for a medium latte. It feels more like a run-down bar than a coffee shop.
