Ciclo Café

I recently visited Ciclo Cafe in Kotturpuram, and the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the Mexican Chicken Bowl and Arrabiata Pasta both dishes were tasted amazing. The service was good.Th staff were very kind. Highly recommend!

They have vegetarian menu that sounds all exotic and all but unfortunately the taste doesn't live upto the names of the dishes.

Had to wait for at least 30mins for someone to take the orders and the faculties neither spoke English nor spoke tamizh which such a disappointment. Because they were not able to understand half of the things we asked them, I feel sorry for them. They are trying to make a living but is frustrating when you have already waited for over 30mins just to place an order and on top of it the waiters not understanding your requirements are just more fuel to the fire 😭

The pesto pasta was very below average for something which is marked as their signature dishes.

The paneer steak and veg lasagna was too sweet which kinda dulled the authenticity of those dishes.

Their desserts and drink options are too good. And would certainly visit again just for their caramel peacan ice-cream. It was such a delight.

Overall, the food was very below average, the ambience is 10/10. The service could be a lot better.

So, if you are someone who is all for aesthetics and desserts. Then this is a perfect spot for you.

Have had brunch before and their bruschetta platter is a must have!
Especially their ice creams!
Anytime I'm craving ice cream I always drop by, Love love that they have sorbet options for lactose intolerant folks~
So far I've had their sweet lime, mango sorbet, horlicks and tiramisu ice creams, if you're looking for something refreshing I'd recommend the sweet lime and mango.
Even if you don't get a cone, you still get a wafer with your ice cream for an extra crunch✧⁠\⁠(⁠>⁠o⁠<⁠)⁠ﾉ⁠✧

They have a lovely entrance / wait space its decorated so pretty its such a photo zone.

Ciclo Café one of Chennai’s prettiest café spaces

One of the more aesthetically pleasing cafés I’ve visited in Chennai. Ciclo has a beautiful, warm, earthy ambience with a distinct European cycling-café character. The interiors are thoughtfully designed, and there are plenty of little details that make the place feel premium without being overly flashy.

I tried the Veg Club Sandwich, Spanish Latte, and Iced Americano. The food was decent, but honestly, the sandwich wasn’t particularly memorable for me. The Spanish Latte, however, was excellent smooth, creamy, and easily my favourite of the things I tried. The Iced Americano was also quite good.

What really stands out here is the ambience and overall experience. It’s a great place to sit down, work, read, or simply spend a relaxed evening with a coffee.

Worth visiting, especially if you appreciate beautifully designed cafés and good coffee.

I feel bad for not trying this place sooner despite hearing very good reviews about this place. A perfect cozy place for a rainy night. The hot French Onion soup was soooo good for that chill weather. Banofee pie was out of the charts, the Gnocchi Pasta was unexpectedly so goooood. The Korean and BBQ bowls were equally good. Cranberry and Guava mocktails were very refreshing! Please do try the place. I I'm coming here again and bringing all my loved ones. Satisfied!

Went for dinner with my wife on 14th February 2026. We had made a reservation, so we got our table very quickly.
We ordered gnocchi pasta, a half & half pizza, cheesecake, and hot chocolate, all the items were absolutely delicious. The food quality was excellent.
The only area that needs improvement is the service. The staff were not very prompt or proactive. It was Valentine’s Day and there was a rush, so that may have contributed, but it was slightly disappointing given the brand’s reputation. Thankfully, they have tied up with Swiggy, and you can place your order directly using the QR code available on the table, which is convenient.
They seem to have valet parking for cars, and two-wheeler parking is easy to find. I would suggest going early in the evening, as there was quite a bit of waiting later on.

Overall, I would definitely visit again to explore their huge and diverse menu as the food is simply amazing. ☑️

What started as a beautiful meal ended up being a horror.
We visited Ciclo Cafe Kottupurem on 5th of July for the first time, where started with a soup which was really good, and then we had chicken fries and calamari and both were very good. Then came the horror when we ordered prawn tortellini. There was lot of finger prints on the plate (which was not present on the other dishes we ate earlier). The first few pastas we ate it as a whole, but since it was very hot we cut it down the middle so it cools down only to find a very long hair. Just when we thought it might have fallen because of normal human errors, it was well embedded in the dough. When we were asking each of the staff, they just wanted to take the plate and get it over with, which seemed very suspicious as if this was a regular event. Then we started asking questions to a person who I believe was a manager, he took the plate and disappeared. When he did not return for a long time, we went to ask the people at the reception place, and they immediately started billing us without any conclusion to the issue at hand. We felt we did not get proper response from the “manager” person with respect to the issue (Even though he said he took the food to the chef - which should not have been that long). We paid for the food and left the place, and felt never to return again.
Humble advice to everyone having pasta here, please cut your pastas and check.
Also the two person table was not big enough to hold more than two dishes. Other larger tables for larger group of people felt fine.

We recently went to this place for lunch as part of get-together. As it was weekend we had booked table. Inspite of booking we had to wait for more than half hour. They got the place arranged and we started ordering starters and then good varities of starters. Chicken starters were too good. Pasta tasted too good. We ordered mango special dishes it was not that good. Better to avoid is I feel. The ambiance is good and unique. Price is exorbitant. Please check with the chef before ordering as to what you are really getting. I felt main course is not that good for the price they charge. Deserts are good. Overall a good place to hangout with friends.

Had a wonderful experience at Ciclo Cafe. The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly welcoming, and the unique bicycle-themed decor makes for such a great atmosphere. Everything was spot on—I’ll definitely be back!

This cafe located in kotturpuram has limited parking facility as it is located on the main road towards Nandanam. Can accommodate 3-4 cars and few bikes.

The cafe has wide number of food options, especially the breads here were amazing. The desserts were also really good. The quantity of the food is okayish for the rate, but the quality is excellent. So it is surely worth the try.

I would recommend people to book in advance, especially in weekends, as the cafe is usually completely occupied during peak weekend hours.

Visited Ciclo Cafe in Kotturpuram and really enjoyed the overall vibe. The ambience is calm, spacious, and perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. We enjoyed both the tiramisu and the Nutella croissant here, and they were absolutely delightful. The tiramisu, in particular, was perfectly balanced—lightly sweet with a subtle coffee flavor, so you can savor every bite without any sugar overload. The Nutella croissant was a dream—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a buttery, mild sweetness that paired beautifully with coffee. And I must highlight the ambiance—it was serene and inviting, making it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a treat. Overall, it was a truly lovely experience.

Service, food quantity and atmosphere were good. Unfortunately, food taste wasn't that great. Out of our order, the Hulk beef burger had the worst taste; I couldn't taste any beef at all. It was like a stone and smelled something weird.

Another work friendly cafe with a wide menu options and calm ambiance. Their
▪︎ Bbq chicken and bocconcini salad was so good, a lil sweet and filling
▪︎ chicken lasagna - a very average one, though it's fresh, the maida sheets were so thick and minced chicken filling was rough
▪︎ fish fingers - i felt the crispy layer dominant over the actual fish flavour, not my thing!
▪︎ peanut butter protein smoothie - loved it
▪︎ their low calorie dark chocolate icecream was so good, recommended
Service was extraordinary. Try other dips than what they serve. The upstairs had more secluded vibe. The place lighting is fit for a long discussions or meetings. Dont forget to get the stamp card if you are a frequent visitor! Overall a very good experience♥️

Had a wonderful dining experience at Ciclo Café!
1) Spinach & Ravioli was rich, creamy, and perfectly cooked with great flavors.
2) Prawn Tortellini was another standout fresh, flavorful, and the prawns were cooked just right.
3) Sri Lankan Sodhi was absolutely delicious, with a comforting balance of spices and creamy coconut flavor that made it unique and memorable.

The food quality, presentation, and service were excellent throughout. Highly recommend trying these dishes.

We really the quality of the food items we ordered. This place is aesthetically pleasing and making us want to visit often. The spread is quite big and the thought of reading it like a newspaper is cool . The food options are very good, and we really like the taste of the food. I believe because of the present situation about scarcity of fuel, serving food takes up good amount of time.

Food was really good. We came as big group and had ordered different dishes. All the dishes were good. Esp. Pastas.. Pad Thai...mango smoothie . their ice cream variety are good.

This is my second visit here today and it feels absolutely peaceful, cosy and highly soothing and this cafe offers a pleasant ambience anytime you come!
Last time it was an evening and now a mid day in a peak summer time! Came to chill and started with my all time fav flat white coffee and ended up in a lotus stem starter
They take time to deliver but deliver the best always! They freshly prepare and give you so it’s too good! Have some patience and relax, rejoice, refresh and leave with a lot of memories and images? Very good and polite service by the store manager Mr. Prashanth absolutely empathetic!

Third time here in the last couple of months, like the food, service, very professional.... atmosphere is relaxed.... Their grilled sandwich and kerala style curry, were right on spot. Meat was succullent. Chicken cordon blue felt as good as it can get around here. The sandwich bread is quite thick, that could be a bit thinner.

The food was great except the pasta which was parsley gnocchi and creamy mushroom. I and my friend enjoyed all the dishes except this pasta. Cheese poppers, indo Chinese paneer pizza, banofi cake, tiramisu were great. Ambiance was nice and mainly it was not too crowded. We ate in peace and the prices were affordable too.

I was visiting this place last week. I got attracted by this place while I used to frequently visit the Anna centenary library. I felt ambience was pretty ordinary. Certain dishes was tasting special. Service was below ordinary. The place does not have a wash basin to wash the hands. Even if you sit in first floor you have to come to the ground floor to use restroom. From the road the place looked very attractive but some how once I entered inside i did not have the same attraction. Prices of the food items was at a premium not very low. Overall all my experience would have been better. I also could not see much parking facilities outside the shop or in the vicinity. There was a device in the table once you click it would alert the attender but it was not working.

Tried the Chicken Shakshuka, Chicken Keema Pav and Chicken Ham & Cheese Bagel. Overall, pretty bang average.

The shakshuka itself was okay, nothing special, but the bread was much soggier than expected. The keema pav was probably the most disappointing — very average and tasted more like something that had been taken out of a box than something freshly prepared.

The ham & cheese bagel was also underwhelming. The ham was really cold, the cream cheese tasted cheap, and the bread was unnecessarily thick and chewy.

Nothing was outright terrible, but for the price, I expected considerably better. Very average overall.

Usually a good place with good food.
But in recent days - both service and food was very bad.

Service took hours to serve the food our soup was ready in the kitchen long back - but was served by reheating in the oven.

Tomato cream pasta was the worst - didn't expect something from ciclo. This was our go to pasta. But it was served to us like a soup. We couldn't even finish it - it was that bad

I sat by the window which was a nice view. Came here for the ambience and stayed for the food. The orange drink I had tasted amazing. I want to visit this place again and try out their pasta. The staff is amazing and very hospitable. Love the cycle theme and the decorations.

The food was amazing. Came in for brunch, had toast, BBQ chicken rice bowl and creme mushroom soup with prawns. It was soooo good, loved it❤️

I ordered the medium-rare beef fillet mignon, but what I received was closer to well-done. I literally had to put in a lot of effort just to cut and take a bite, which made the experience a bit stressful. That said, I must commend the taste—it was genuinely great.

The mashed potato portion was unusually large, much more than what you typically see. Personally, I felt the quantity was unnecessary.

Do check out their ice creams—they have some really good flavours. As for the orange cooler, there’s nothing much to say about it. I wouldn’t particularly recommend it.

The staff were warm and welcoming, which added positively to the overall experience. Despite the issues, it’s still a café worth visiting.

Quaint and lovely cafe experience. Food is excellent.
We tried the avocado toast.. the sourdough bread is so so good, and it’s very evident that they bake it fresh.
We also tried the hummus and pita. Hummus was good but pita - not so great. It was doughy.
Butter chicken with paratha was also great, as per the others at the table.
Cafe mocha was beautifully done.

Service, ambience and location are also very pleasant. Washrooms are the cleanest among all public places in the whole of Chennai. Must visit place.

The food is always passable here. We usually buy the hot dog which kids will like.

This time around we visited Ciclo after a visit to the Anna centenary library.
We were not given the seating we asked for mentioning it’s a pets area but later saw another group taking up the same space. Okay. Understandable.

We ordered an onion soup which was good. Pizza was okay. There was a dish we ordered - chicken melt mushroom parotta which was visibly not cooked. And we brought this to the servers attention and send the dish back. He asked whether both the pieces were uncooked and we mentioned it was only one ( also because one of our group members had eaten the first piece).

We ordered ice cream after, and the server proposed that one ice cream scoop can be given free if we provide a Google review. This was disappointing for two reasons
1. You shouldn't be buying reviews ( especially from a customer who was served uncooked food).
2. The dish we complained about was still added on to the final bill.

All in all, a very meh visit.

A wonderful cozy spot for coffee, ice cream and dinner or lunch! I had Tiramisu and it was yummy, The ambience is calm and very relaxing, making it a great place to sit back. The staff members specially Nandha is super friendly and provide amazing, warm service every time we visit. It is also a pet friendly place , Highly recommended!

Would really recommend the cafe 100% to everyone. Their food is excellent, especially their ice cream ranges are excellent! I loved their Lime Pie ice cream and Brucette platter😍❤️ They are the OG for a reason !

I had posted a very good review some months back but unfortunately on my visit today I was extremely disappointed with all aspects covering Food and Service … We had ordered very simple food items like A Sandwich and a Thai curry… it actually took an hour to get our food … Customers around us were also complaining … I observed that the quality of the food was also below par…. The Thai Green curry was insipid and tasted like boiled vegetables in a coconut gravy… the basic ingredients that go into a Thai curry like Galangal were missing … to be fair to them on pointing it out they did not charge me for the Thai curry … I had ordered a Shri’s spicy chicken sandwich… it just had some shredded chicken paste i. between … nothing exceptional … going back very disappointed with Ciclo which used to be one of my family’s favourite joints … Mr. Prashanth who was managing the restaurant was very kind and helpful but I think many things were beyond his control … I sincerely hope this is a one-off incident at one of our favourite places

Food quality is good. Quantity is not okay when it comes to certain dishes.
Service was slow, its okay though but they missed to serve two items which is part of breakfast. Later we reminded them and they did. Atmosphere is sooper cool.

The Noodle Soup was supposed to be clear and was milk white (miscommunication) and the coconut was completely overpowering; it drowned out every other ingredient.

The Mexican Chicken Bao - Ah, the "mayo-bomb" bun. That is a very specific kind of kitchen tragedy. You’re expecting a delicate balance of fluffy dough, savoury chicken filling, and a hint of sauce—and instead, you’re greeted with a white-out condition.

Crispy Chicken Burger was pretty good , the pickled onions and the crispy fried chicken and the buttery brioche - god level but again over-drowned with mayo making it difficult to eat.

The BBQ Pizza was more like a dessert.It was so sweet my diabetes would have come back up , I mean BBQ's can be sweet but not this much. The Chicken Tikka Pizza was good but again the veggies just seem to be mixed with some kind of ketchup which was disappointing.

The Signature Tiramisu Icecream in a Cone - The Holy Grail - It was fantabulous, not too sweet, not too bitter.The perfect balance of the graham crunch factor , coffee and the icecream so godly.

BUT THE WAITERS WERE SO AWESOME AND HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE SERVICE WISE.

Delicious food and even more delicious ice cream. Must try their ice cream flavours, the mango one literally tastes divine and so pure❤️

Good place to spend time with family and friends. Ambience was cozy with plenty of privacy and the staff was friendly. The menu was diverse. I had the Belgian mocha shake, which was amazing. The cookie dough ice cream was also very delectable. Portion size was good. Tasted few of the bakery items and liked them. Will visit next time for the savoury menu.
