Citizen of Soho - A Breakfast Restaurant & Cafe

On a quick business, I was looking for a place to have a coffee and read a book. I ended up working more than reading but what a joy it was. My server Madeleine was a bubbly personality who immediately made the place feel like my local digs.

The breakfast was lush avo on sourdough toast and Madeleine afterwards served me delicious banana bread.

I’ll come back for sure. Thank you Madeleine for making this Dutch girl feel at home.

let me just say DYLAN I! If you can call in advance to see if he is working I highly recommend to do so - He made my entire experience at brunch this saturday morning. With the warm welcome to the conversation that flowed easily. He recommended nothing but the best and I will definitely be back soon!

This breakfast spot is really nice. The matcha latte was warm and smooth. The salmon Benedict was fresh and tasty, with soft eggs and good sauce. The cheddar biscuit was warm and a little crunchy. The café is cozy and clean, and the people working there were nice. I would come back again.

This place is one of my favorites. Why? 1.Super friendly people! They make you feel good and kindly offer suggestions. 2. Delicious food, i have tried the waffle, the avocado toast, and the full brekkie. 3 Amazing coffee and matcha. 4. Atmosphere is great to take your laptop, sit inside or outside. What else do you need? 😍

As an Aussie, really enjoyed this Australian style cafe. Great vibes, lovely Bircher, and the most decent coffee I've had in NYC. Ken was so lovely to have as a server, and I was able to sit with my laptop for a while after I finished eating! Thanks legends!!

Food was delicious and served quick, staff were friendly and there was free wifi if you ask for the password! Will definitely be coming back again.

Maybe it was an off morning, but this was a strange experience. My wait staff was inattentive, the portions were quite small, even by New York standards, and the food tasted like it was from a day or two prior. I had the salmon eggs.

After I sat down, no one took my order or asked me about the meal once I eventually got my food. I had to track down my waitress to place an order and another one to pay. There was even a manager or someone from corporate sitting next to me on his laptop, paying no attention.

The booth seating is nice and spacious, but the bar area is cramped and the vibe is off. It looks like it’s still in the works?

There are other Australian restaurants that do much better in the area.

A perfect brunch place that is well priced in Soho. Staff are really nice. This is a great working spot for anyone who needs an emptier place and ur doesn’t crowd up. There aren’t too many outlets to charge computers but it’s still a good place to post up for a couple of hours. I come here often! Love it💕
