Rex ist ein beliebtes Café mit zwei Standorten im Herzen von New York – im Lower East Side und in Hell's Kitchen. Bereits seit über 12 Jahren begeistert das Café seine Besucher und hat sich als fester Bestandteil der Nachbarschaft etabliert. Besonders gelobt wird bei Rex das freundliche und motivierte Team, das Gästen stets mit einem Lächeln begegnet und durch guten Service begeistert. Das Speisenangebot bei Rex ist vielfältig und reicht von deftigen Frühstücksoptionen bis hin zu verschiedenen Sandwiches, Burgern und kleinen Leckereien aus der Backstube. Zu den Frühstücksangeboten zählen beispielsweise ein 3-Käse-Omelette mit Toast und Salat, Almond Ricotta Toast mit Honig sowie Avocado Toast mit Feta, Tomaten und Gewürzen. Wer es herzhafter mag, kann sich für Sandwiches wie den Breakfast Cuban, BLT, Brie- oder Cheesesteak-Sandwich, Chicken Panini, Beef oder Chicken Quesadilla oder hausgemachte Fleischbällchen entscheiden. Auch Burger, vegetarische und vegane Backwaren sowie klassische amerikanische Cookies, Muffins und Kuchen (zum Teil glutenfrei und vegan) runden das Angebot ab. Das Getränkeangebot im Rex setzt einen Schwerpunkt auf hochwertige Kaffee-Spezialitäten und eine Auswahl an Tees. Angeboten werden frisch gebrühter Filterkaffee, Americano (Espresso mit heißem Wasser), Café au Lait und Cappuccino (jeweils mit verschiedenen Milchsorten wie Vollmilch, Magermilch, Mandel- oder Hafermilch). Die Teekarte umfasst unter anderem Blueberry Rooibos, eine Mischung mit Blaubeeren und Minze, sowie Kamillen-Teemischungen, Cinnamon Plum Tea und klassischen Earl Grey Tee mit Bergamotte. Zudem gibt es Matcha und heiße Schokolade. Für Fans größerer Mengen bietet Rex auch einen Gallonen-Kaffee an. Als Kaffeelieferant wird CounterCulture Coffee genannt.

Had an amazing experience here. Latte and muffin were amazing, of course. I didn’t know that they were closing around 4pm. It was already half past 4, but they did not say anything. Also I saw they consumed the whole brewed coffee daily. People were super nice and kind. Strongly recommended! I would like to visit again! (There is also wifi too)
Very cozy place for dates or working. Very good food specially GRAVLOX is my fav. And for pastries you should try vegan banana bread even if you are not vegan. And their new chamomile lemon bread GO FOR IT!!!! ❤️
Nice table space and has wifi, so it's my go to for working. I alternate between an espresso, cuban, or ube loaf.
My favorite coffee shop in NYC! Great menu - I usually build my own egg sandwich. The team is always friendly and the coffee is always fresh. It's also laptop friendly with a few outlets and free, reliable wifi.
Started working near here and I go a few times a week. Great staff! I don't drink coffee but their muffins, loaves and donuts are all amazing. Would recommend their Turkey Roast sandwich they have for lunch sometimes 10/10 crazy good. Comes with caramelized onions in the sandwich and a side salad in the box.
Update: Have been coming here for a couple of years now! Super great and healthy lunch options for when you going feel like cooking.
I recommend the steak sandwich and Chipotle chicken sandwich!
The loveliest neighborhood coffee shop. The coffee is amazing and the breakfast egg sandwich is unlike anything else I’ve tasted - on a freshly toasted brioche. The croissants are the absolute best. Also, always a nice chat with the staff who genuinely seem to enjoy working here.
I looooooveeeeee Rex. I walk a couple extra blocks past other coffee shops just to come back here. The coffee is great and I crave the grilled chicken sandwich...but you have to get the chilli oil. (its the best part)
Also a great spot to pull up and work on a computer...theres wifi!
The steak sandwich here is INSANELY good!! 10/10 recommend! Also got an iced latte which was yummy! A little loud and small but they have outlets and wifi
First time I came, they forgot my sandwich order and I waited 20+ minutes for it...I couldn't wait another 15 for it so they gave me a free ham and cheese croissant. They were nice about it though.
Came in today and I was the only person in line and it took them 20 minutes to make a 1/2 Cuban sandwich. It was yummy but the inside was cold...I don't get it. There were 5 employees behind the counter, 2 in the kitchen, all running around busy, so it's not like they weren't working.
Also the seated area has room for 10 people and it looks like they all got there in the morning with their laptops and work there all day.
I want to like this place but they make it hard! Perhaps will come back for just a coffee and a muffin. They looked yummy.
Honestly don’t know how I didn’t take pic of a food to post but man I was hungry. My family member likes this place but I’m a vegetarian so I stepped into the place very doubtful on a random day n asked the cashier guy if he can suggest me something with vegetarian (ffs eggs are not vegetarian) and to my suprise he was very kind n not grumpy that I didn’t know what I wanted. He was super polite n suggested me for Brie avocado and I took it. No complains the food was good n tummy is happy. What else a customer needs u know? For sitting n doing work on laptop u can, it’s instagram worthy spot but I m very unsure if there are laptop charging ports there at all. The rest room is out of service (didn’t use, just saw) . They don’t have back support chairs, I like to have something to rest my spine if I’m gonna work on laptop for hours. May be a good quick spot for text book reading or stuff. The place is a vibe

Nice sandwiches, cool music, good prices. Tasty hot sauce on the table. Communal tables and laptop friendly. wifi wasn't working but they have it.
The coffee is fine, and there's plenty of stools for typing on a laptop, but unfortunately the wifi doesn't work reliably.
