I swear, the caffeine jolt from Think Coffee is bigger than coffee from anywhere else. (although the coffee comes in wonderfully tactile 16 oz mugs, it's not just the extra 4 oz.) The breakfast burritos are my favorite anywhere.

The space is inviting and huge with a combination of book readers, laptop users and small group conversations. It's fun to listen to coffee clatches of NYU faculty and students.

Whoever does the hiring manages to get baristas who are friendly, engaging and efficient. They always great you with a variation of "How are you?" rather than "Next!"

I live a distance from here, but often make the trip to enjoy the breakfast burrito and coffee on a Sunday morning. A delightful spot.

A very modern yet welcoming café with delicious signature drinks; the atmosphere is ideal for working or relaxing. Very clean and welcoming.

Omri Cohen26.09.2026

Modern, spacious, and busy! laptop warriors primarily flock to this 4th avenue location of the NYC chain. Also a great spot for anyone to sit and have a chat. The bench at the back gives hints of the back row of laptop workers from ‘Pause Cafe’ in East Village. Probably more than 75% of the cafe was glued to a laptop. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it is a thing associated with this spot. I’d imagine when someone starts a new cafe this isn’t their vision. Ownership could consider adding laptop criteria (e.g, time limits, different days of week) to help alter the vibe at times. The drip coffee was solid, but nothing special. A blend of South America beans resulting in a medium/dark roast. It’s below a Slate Cafe drip coffee, and other beans. The bean bag branding is vibrant, though! Other amenities: bathroom, many seats (most may be filled), and a few outdoor seats for when it’s nice outside. Drip coffee score: 3/5. Everything else score: 4/5. Overall score: 4/5.

Love this coffee shop. Spacious, plenty of seating and comfy leather. Plus wifi (a nearby coffee shop didn’t have wifi so I came here). Coffee is good and they have a water station which is exactly what I was hoping for (I drink a lot of water). Planning to just write and work for a couple hours near Union square and this is absolutely perfect.

bug26.09.2026

butterscotch latte with oat milk is A+. the place is pretty much packed at 4 pm on a sunday. barista seemed a little short with me, but he’s also the only one working so he’s probably just stressed out. picked up a few free books as well. would def come back.

Huixin Wang26.09.2026

food, drinks, and atmosphere is really good. however drinks are extremely overpriced and wifi does not work.

Annushka26.09.2026

PLS FIX: No working outlets in the back space. Good workers and good coffee.

Yasmin Chaiep26.09.2026

I came here today for a cold brew and to get some work done and their coffee was definitely really good. Many areas to sit and it is not too cold to sit here for a while. I thought I snagged a great spot next to an outlet and came to the bleak realization that the outlet was not working. It seems like a lot of their outlets are either missing or not working so that's why my score is lower. Other than that, service was great and music isn't too loud so it is enjoyable!

Gisele S.26.09.2026

While I was there, there was fully a mouse running around. Also there are never any seats because all these computer people are working there for like hours and taking whole zoom calls like bruh. No shade to the baristas, they were cool, but management… maybe let’s not have mice? Thanks.

Shireen26.09.2026

Loved the vibe, ambience, and crowd at this space. They have good wifi, a restroom, and plenty of seating for you to work out of. Their oat mocha was also delicious. The staff is friendly and so are the people you're sharing the space with. I asked someone to watch my stuff while I used the restroom and they were very nice about it. Would recommend for studying/working/or if you just want to grab a coffee to-go.

N P26.09.2026

worked for a few hours. Also took a zoom call, wifi seemed good at the time. Large space, plenty of tables, bathroom, friendly service. Saw outlets in the front seating area. 8oz cappucino $5.75, oatmilk extra $0.50 🫠. Expensive for such a small cup of coffee, but at least it tasted good.

Paul Nocera26.09.2026

Perhaps it has been overrun, perhaps new management. My matcha latte prefer was heard as a mocha, the bathroom was filthy but had to be used, and wifi connection was not happening for my windows laptop... Weak signal (one bar if that) in the back area. But even when I did connect it dropped within a minute.

Ultimately it felt like a passive aggressive experience... Translated as "Don't come back". And I used to love this place before pandemic times

Felix De León26.09.2026

Great coffee with fast wifi! Just be on the lookout for a hacker named Mr. Robot ;)

thanuja ramesh26.09.2026

Cute coffee shop near Union Square. There are a lot of people working/studying there usually so it can be hard to find a table but the atmosphere is calming and enjoyable.

SassyHotSauce _26.09.2026

They don't have any hot sandwiches and only have bagels (delicious by the way) until 11am usually, but this place got reliable wifi and a chill vibe. Prices are like most you'll find in Manhattan and space for seating usually runs out by 10:30am or so on weekends. Coffee sometimes can be a bit burnt, but still this is one of my favorite coffeehouses I've been to in NY

Matt Hughes26.09.2026

Coffee is pretty solid but overpriced. Drip coffee refills are $1.50, which is crazy even for the village, fair trade or not. Barista was a little short with me even though I was the only one in line and didn’t seem to know much about the coffee. Plenty of seating when I went in the evening, and not too loud. wifi is reasonably fast, though it went out for like 20mins. On the balance, a mediocre coffee shop, and if you’re just looking for a place to get some work done, it’ll serve just fine.

or yaacov26.09.2026

They are known for being a place that you can stay for a long time with a laptop or a good book. The coffee is decent, the place is a bit dirty and only 3 different spots have sockets to plugin your laptop

William Crosson26.09.2026

My favorite coffee chain in NYC bar none. Their coffee is mighty tasty.

Each of their locations that I've been to thus far have plenty of space and seating in front and in the back. Great for having conversations or doing work with a laptop.

Stephanie Chen26.09.2026

Great place with fast wifi and different coffee drinks+quick bites, love the fact that they close so late.
But depending on who’s on the shifts, some staffs can be kind of rude, most of the outlets are not working and the restroom definitely needs more care throughout the day.

Jon Mizrahi26.09.2026

More spacious than most nyc cafes. Has many of the same pitfalls as other coffee chains (less personal, prepackaged food, etc.), but if you need somewhere to get some work done, this place has the space and wifi for that. Only issue I've encountered is that many of the outlets in the back do not properly work.

Jeff Benjamin26.09.2026

This place is a shadow of its former self. From a former NYU student who used to spend hours working at Think Coffee, I'm sad to report the times I've been back I've notice the coffee taste changed to be extremely watery and very gross compared to the rich taste I really loved. Also, what happened to the complementary wifi?! Sad to say, I'll be hanging out in Starbucks if want a coffee place to work at in Union Square. Sorry, Think.

Willow Smith26.09.2026

BUT WHERE ARE ALL THE outletS???? (all in good fun)
But actually: the staff is very nice and it has a nice ambiance, music not too loud, lots of seating and tables, but only like, four outlets (in a very large cafe), only three of which worked, and no power strips or extension cords. Ahh! Great place for coffee or to sit and read, but I wouldn't recommend it if you need a place to get work done on a laptop (unless you bring your own extension cord/power strip).

David Laster26.09.2026

This cafe has my favorite Cold Brew in the city. There's also no-wifi, making it slightly easier to score a table (although still difficult). Good baguette sandwiches and bagels. The espresso drinks are very inconsistently made, making this a 4*.

Armen Poghosyan26.09.2026

This is the second and the last time that I bought small coffee from here. It’s again cold.
3 dollar for a small coffee it should be 20% times better than in Starbucks.
This is for those who spent all day there using their wifi.
You are a coffee shop, sell quality coffee not a chair with wifi.
Good luck

Lhamu Tsering26.09.2026

For a nice spot in the city, this place and the people working there at the time I visited were not very nice. It was a slow time, with just a couple of other customers, and two people working the counter.... the floor looked like it hadn't been swept or tables wiped properly, chairs were in disarray and my order of grilled cheese was yelled out to me from the counter, everybody looked up!!! A green tea and grilled cheese cost $11.50 + the 1.50 tip I had paid, was not worth it at all... one time visit was enough, never going back, nor will I recommend this place.

Jeff J26.09.2026

Great coffee and very nice selection of food and other beverages. They do have wifi and the front seats are often taken but there are almost always seats in the back.

Aviva Musicus26.09.2026

Great place to grab coffee and do work near Union Square. Free wifi, lots of tables, mellow music, and they don’t blast the air conditioning so it’s pleasantly cool instead of freezing (unlike most other coffee shops in the area).

Heather Woods26.09.2026

Drinks are decent, pastries, bagels and breakfast are subpar. Nice sunny window seating available with wifi makes it a good place to do work, just don't come hungry.

Ram Kumar Rengaswamy26.09.2026

I like the bagels here. The coffee itself is a bit over roasted for my liking. Decor is simple. Service is quick. No wifi.

Andrew Price26.09.2026

Famously depicted as "Ron's Coffee" in the hit USA show Mr. Robot, this popular cafe offers up all your caffeinated favorites, and some tasty food options, but no wifi.

Kate Dodd26.09.2026

Great spot for some laptop work, wifi is easy, coffee is good! Not the most fabulous location but hits the spot if that’s what you need!

whosasking26.09.2026

Really nice for working remotely. Good coffee, comfortable, and $4.50 PB & banana sandwiches are all selling points.

WilderWasHere26.09.2026

In case you didn't know, this is the coffeeshop from episode 1 of Mr. Robot. Nice folks work here, good coffee, free wifi, but not very many power outlets, so make sure you charge up at home!

Mary Moss26.09.2026

Very happy with my latte. Good tasting coffee. Hard to find a seat though! Lots of laptop warriors.

Zack Ignoffo26.09.2026

Came for the great working atmosphere, stayed to overhear an old lady tell his adult son that being an escort isn’t a good career choice.

Sarah Martell26.09.2026

The only Think location in NYC (that I know of) with wifi. I love going here to do work. Get here early if you want to get a table!

Tricksss gj26.09.2026

Great Coffee, loved it as it is the first café I have been to which has a proper working wifi.

Richard Drewery26.09.2026

Really good coffee, don't plan on sitting down. Customers nursing one cup of coffee all day to use the free wifi

Daniela C26.09.2026

Nice place, many tables, good coffee, wifi :)

Trans G26.09.2026

Great place to sit with a laptop. Lots of tables. Pretty quick turnover. The latter is amazing.

Adam Georgiou26.09.2026

Always packed and no wifi, but a great vibe and decent tea, coffee, and food. A go to work spot for me.

Max Brawer26.09.2026

A very comfortable and warm space for work and chat, but no wifi hurts

Heather Lindgren26.09.2026

Cute ambiance but no wifi. Lots of seating and pretty $$$ for no wifi.

A W26.09.2026

Not a good place to work or study, too loud and inconsistent wifi. There are almost no outlets.

Felix Zhou26.09.2026

Pros
+wifi
+good coffee and beer on tap

Cons
-can get crowded in the winter during the school year

Akshay Kingar26.09.2026

Good coffee with good staff.. wifi didn't work while I was there

Harry Wong26.09.2026

Tea destroyed. Loved the selection, no wifi. Depict the hipster setting

Terence Gunning26.09.2026
